OOC: Wow, that really got out of hand quickly...I probably wont be able to post as much though. Sowwy =[

IC:

Akane had pushed herself away from the dealing before Taed had even reached the Temple. She could see some of the happenings, but chose to block out anything, in fear of the inevitable. She heard yelling, and Taed had tried to get answers from her several times, but she didn't respond, partially because she didnt know what was going on, but mostly because she knew either way the Order was at fault, or rather she was at fault, and that she would be quickly slain. Or would she? Second thoughts about handling the situation crept into her mind. Action needed to be taken, for the Order, for her comrade, and for herself.

Ashamed of her cowardice, she pushed herself into the situation, realizing that things had not gone as planned on Taed's part. Taed had been recognized and the Galgori were outraged. Suddenly, she realized a battle was at hand, and Juraia disappeared into a blur of motion. Taed called out to her, and she knew it was time. She felt her body being handed over to her, and she took in a deep breath. She saw Di-Jei had entered and was fighting alongside her. She saw the shuriken as they came toward her and she quickly summoned an immense amount of flame shooting it out in front of her, thus propelling herself backward. She landed on her back about twenty feet away, hitting the rough stone floor and skidding to a stop just inches from the entrance of the temple. She spotted her mount, with all her weaponry on it and quickly jumped to her feet. She heard metal hitting stone behind her, know that if she had been hit with one of those, she would most likely be taken down in a matter of seconds by the infamous Galgori poisons.

She reached the mount in a matter of seconds, dislodging a bow, and grabbed a cylindrical object from a pouch. She pulled a string on the back and aimed it toward the sky. Sparks shot out and a small explosive rocketed into the sky. It blew up in a flash of color, an official cry for help as a Council Member of the Order. If there was a Lotus Eater nearby, they would quickly come to her aid. But all she was hoping for was Beshimi.

Having already wasted too much time, Akane quickly diverted her attention to the temple. She pulled two arrows from her quiver and took aim at a clocked figure, whom she figured must have been Juraia. Pulling the strong tight, she released and sent the arrows zipping toward their target. Sending in one more volley, she dropped her bow and took up her spear, running toward the temple, trying to see if her volley had done any damage.

'He's a Firebender.... How dirty ! I can't fight them alone if he's a bender.' Di-Jei realized that Akane had attacked the elder huntress. 'Great ! Master Oki's back !!' Di-Jei first blowed a fireball at the enemy bender, then he sent a fire shadow (a spectrum of fire, like a silhouete of Di-Jei but with fire) at him in case he intercepted the fireball. Then he whistled once more in case the Canyon Crawler hadn't understood. "Let's first burn down this temple..." He rushed on a tree, sheathed his broadsword back and took the other dagger. Then he stuck them in the tree to climb up. He set the daggers on fire to burn down the tree once he would be done. He took a broadsword and slashed an arc of fire on the roof of the temple. It set it on fire. Then he sheathed the sword, and jumped off the tree with his daggers, before the tree could collapse. He rolled aside as he landed and sent a missile of fire through a 'window'. "That'll make more damage." He kept only one dagger and took a broadsword, getting ready for battle. "So, who are my enemies ? Hey, there !! Don't hide, kiddies !" He shouted, while looking around in case one of the opponents tried to sneak upon him.

(The temple IS mostly stone at this point, large, and very damp, kinda of something both sides want to preserve more or less whole, but heh... Humor. There will be blood.)

Hokori answered Di-Jei's challenge with a spray of shuriken from the shadows, exploding forward in a blur of flaping red cloth and black hair. She jinked with her charge, punch daggers on her backwards-extended hands, covering the ground rapidly. A feral smirk graced her lips, the old bloodlust dancing in her eyes.

Anei rolled back from the balcony as the wave of fire roared at her enroute to charring the roof. She retained her grip on the blowgun, reloading her weapon before taking another look and firing at Di-Jei's chest.

Juraia's mind was almost bypassed entirely by her reflexes, tumbling and dodging past the waves of fire as if they were in slow motion. The arrows missed by a mile, the Veteran kicking it up a notch and closing the final distance with a quick side-step of the spear head, her gloved hands extended in a flurry of Dim Mak strikes that could rob Akane of her Bending if they hit the targets her mind was picking out as she struck.

Miaka heard Juraia call out the attack and within moments sprang from her spot, whip in hand. She dodged fire as it came at her. She barely listened as Coer spoke with the lotus person, speaking something she could not understand. She was unsure what was going on, a feeling she was not fond of. She came up beside the rest of the group, whip in one hand the other hand reaching within her cloak for the bag of shuriken she carried.

There were now 2 lotus members in hte temple. She aimed for the newcomer. She flicked her whip out towards the side of the newcomer. The metal tip aiming for his side. She let loose a handful of shuriken with her hand, aiming for the lotus member's body.

OOC: I didn't know that at all, sorry fur disturbances (if any)

Di-Jei watched around for his enemies, but he couldn't see them. 'Hiding either in the temple, as they were waiting for us... or in the trees. And this damn temple won't set on fire... All of that is so troublesome. If at least we weren't only two...' Then Di-Jei caught sight of shiny things coming towards him. As an immediate reflex, he put his sword before him. It appeared to be wide enough to shield him from the throwing weapons coming at him. Something bigger than a shuriken hit his broadsword. 'Blowgun projectile... Hey, they're not joking' But then a whip grabbed his sword, pulling him to the side. He had dropped his broadsword, and the owner of whip was a girl who had just thrown some shurikens. He deflected them with his dagger while pulling his other sword. "Too bad, I've got another one. Ouch..." One of the shurikens was stuck in Di-Jei's arm protector. He removed it, then spotted an enemy rushing at him. 'Then I won't joke anymore either.' He ran at her too and when he was close enough, he just sent a 'flying fire kick' aiming for her chest.

Akane's fury was growing with each step she took, glaring at the veteran Huntress as she ran toward her. She took in a deep breath, aiming to shoot fire from the tip of the spear. However, Juraia sidestepped, so Akane adjusted her offensive likewise.

She narrowed her eyes and sent out a fountain of flame at Juraia from her mouth as she jumped back, narrowly dodging several of Juraia's punches and receiving only a fraction of the force intended on her left shoulder, barely even feeling it make contact in her state of rage.

Anger boiling over in her mind, Akane swept her spear in an arc, shooting a wall of fire in front of her, hoping to give damage in any way possible.

She had noticed Di-Jei fighting valiently, but took no time to pay close attention. Her focus was all on taking out the Galgori Huntress, Juraia.

(Wheee!!!)

Juraia felt the world go blue at Akane's intake of breath, aborting a few of her strikes and jinking to one side of the jet of flame, the follow up flurry forcing Juraia to tumble backwards under the spear swing and heat wave, sheilding her face with her arms before coming up on the offensive again, outer robes blackened. Sweat from the near misses dripped down her chin, as she snapped a spray of poisoned shuriken at point blank range, following that up with another rush-and-Dim Mak combo. She needed Coer to supress the woman's Bending, where was he?

Hokori acknowledged Miaka's presense with a brief nod before lithely dodging Di-Jei's fire kick with almost instinctive ease, riding adrenilen. She extended her right arm as she shot past him, seeking to nick his side with one dagger before spinning on one foot to face the older warrior in short range combat, two short weapons to his one long weapon. They had him...

Anei scrambled along the upper layers, loading the blowgun again and waiting for her moment, she had seven more shots, only needed one to hit, but... She only had seven more shots. She'd be careful.

Di-Jei had missed his chance. He blocked her dagger with his own dagger and thought about what to do. 'They're two. And if they are synchronized, I won't withstand long enough and I'll either have to retreat, or I'll die. Both aren't gonna happen. The one who may kill me is that one who just attacked. But since she's close to me, she's also the one who's in danger because she can be caught by my fire. Now, the other is dangerous with her whip. If she gets me when I try to attack, then her friend will just have to finish me off. However if her friend makes a wrong step while she is attacking me with the whip, she'll hurt her friend. Anyway, if I'm not careful enough, I'll be in a bad position. Maybe if I can make their emotions get them out of control, they won't be able to fight. But it won't be easy...' Di-Jei breathed once, then inhaled geatly, and exhaled a large flame towards his opponent. Then he put his dagger back on his waist and jumped backwards to get his broadsword back. Once it was done, he kept his left sword towards the whipping girl and rushed towards the other one, his sword flaming.

Miaka pulled the whip back to her side, taking in her opponent, trying to keep a level head. She maintianed her distance, allowing herself room to use the whip. If that proved futile she would simply have to close teh distance and use her blades.

Beside her one of the twins had rushed the man and was now far closer to him. She pulled the whip back for another swing, this time aiming for his feet. If she could tangle him up, maybe that would give the twin the moment she needed to finish this one off, if not, well then the fight would just be a bit longer. Pulling out another handful of shuriken she released them just moments before sending her whip to try and snake around the lotus man's legs and feet.

OOC: Cylia tar, I missed a lot. Trying to fit back in...

Coer snapped out of his funk as a whirlwind of activity happened around him. He glanced around and hissed. "Taed! Juraia!" A second later he realized that the motions that the Lotus Eater was going through were too natural. Taed had either left the body, or was letting the firebending master do the fighting.

Coer ran over to where Juraia and Akane were fighting, and twisted his arms around as he shot fire, releasing a helix spiral of flames aimed for a spot just behind the enemy firebender. "It's not Taed fighting, and if he's smart at all he'll leave before we kill her," he said in passing, dodging around to the other side of Juraia and preparing to release another volley of flames.

Di-Jei was about to attack when the whip caught his left foot. He fell on the ground and dropped a broadsword which just got stuck in the ground. He punched the ground in frustration. He quickly recovered his sword and slashed at the shurikens to block them. By glancing at the girl, he noticed that the enemy bender had just started to attack Master Akane. 'Damn ! Maybe an opening...' He made an arc of fire behind him just for cover, and then he punched a missile of fire along the whip.

Hokori was forced into a circling tumble dodge to evade the storm of heat the Bender was pumping out, several getting entirely too close for comfort. She rolled forward under the wall of flame, clothing smoking, as Di-Jei attacked Miaka, driving her daggers at his back in twin slashes, ready and eager to draw blood.

Anei found another perch to Di-Jei's left, sending a poisoned dart at his shoulder before retreating into the shadows again, the course of the projectile calculated to be clear of her sibling and new Huntmate.

Kenji was in the temple listening to everything that was going one. His right hand held three shuriken. The galgori prepared to strike when told. A questionable look came across Kenji's face as Coer came down and yelled at the woman as if he knew her. Odd.

He then watched as the fight began. Red eyes looking toward Di-Jei and saw as how the twins and Miaka attack him. His eyes then focused on the of Lotas member as it seemed Jurai, and Coer were taking her on.

After seeing who was fighting who Kenji quickly ran over toward Juraias opponent thinking she and Coer would need more help after all the woman was a master. From the side Kenji launched the three shuiken he was holding each flying at the master bender the young galgori hoping to get her off guard though most likely that wasn't going to happen.

Di-Jei realized that the twin girl had attacked him from behind. He rolled on hs side as quickly as possible, removing the whip from his feet as he did so. The daggers cut a piece of cloth. Then, just as he was going to strike back, a dart passed by his epaulet. He jumped back even more quickly. 'The dart came from up there, so I can't get the enemy from out here.' He rubbed his shoulder. Apparently, he had rolled aside just in time: the dart had touched the epaulet but didn't touch his skin. Di-Jei needed to check the situation. He first glanced at the whipping girl, then at the twin girl, and then at the window. From the angles of the window, he calculated the area where he would get hit. He backed off again, realising he was still in the area. Then he looked at the whip and tried to figure out its range. 'The maximum range of the whip is the middle of the area. Unless she comes closer, but I won't let her.' Then he glanced at the twin girl. He suddenly figured out something to win the battle. He sheathed his swords, and made quick moves around him, sending a fire wall between the whipping girl and the twin girl. He drew his daggers and walked forward, engaging the battle against the twin.

Akane wasn't surprised to see that Juraia had evaded her attack. She fell into a defensive position as Juraia darted toward her. She pulled her spear up, holding it vertically and swept it in front of her as she jumped back and the shuriken were released. She hadn't been hit, but only out of pure luck. One of the poisoned blades was embedded in her spear, and with a flick of the pole it fell off.

Akane struggled to dodge all the strikes being delivered by Juraia, but was barely successful. Most of the punches didn't touch her, and the ones that did were obviously not hitting the intended locations. She had dealt with this style before, and knew if she were to be hit correctly, it would basically be the end for her.

Suddenly, she felt heat flying toward her. She took a deep breath, still dodging as much as she could of Juraia's attacks. She kicked hard at Juraia, sending out a mass of flame as she did so, and spun around, all on one motion. She saw the fire was almost upon her, and slapped her hands together, and pushing outward into the flame. As it was about to touch her, she shot forward, and with her hands still together bent the flame into two seperate streams. She took advantage of this and diverted the flame at Juraia, adding a bit of her own bending to strengthen the attack.

(Hmmm... Yes, here we are. Living proof of the formula 'Likelyhood of a RPG forum attack hitting = the unimportance of the fight/potential leathality of the blow')

Hokori smiled darkly at the wall of fire separating her and Miaka as the Lotus fighter charged forward, she tumbled backwards under the swing, earning a cut to the left arm for her trouble. Once clear, she darted in again, stabbing and slicing at him, every sense and reflex open to the world around her. He was good, but could he keep up the wall of fire forever?

The veteran Hunter's world oscilated between red, slow motion fire following the motion triggers she had been trained to recognize all her life. Juraia tumbled and spun amid the jets of heat, one striking her on the left shoulder and burning a streak of pain over her bicep before she was clear. A smile graced her lips, looking forward to finishing this fight, faith in her long honed endurance, pain nothing more than a distraction. Rising on one knee and producing a pair of curved daggers from hidden pockets, attacking for the Dim Mak points again in a quartet of slashes and stabs. Let's make Lotus Scum bloody and numb...

No thoughts crossed Akane's mind. She had surrendered herself to rage and reflex. She felt unbridled power run through her veins with each breath she took.

As Juraia rushed toward her, she bent fire around the tip of her spear, preparing to run the Hunter through. But yet again, Juraia proved too agile as she came in for close combat. As Juraia sliced Akane dodged and blocked as much as she could, receiving a few cuts in the process.

In the fray, she blocked with her spear and Juraia's balde ran through it and came down into Akane's leg. She let out a grunt as she swung the blunt end at Juraia's head, and swiftly shot out the blade at her chest. As an extra precaution, she opened her mouth and shouted loudly, sending out another river of flame at Juraia.

Di-Jei tried to block every attack while moving around in case the sniper twin wanted o get him with her projecties. He got a cut on his left arm protector. Each time she was done with an attack, he tried to breath a fireblast to her face. But apparently, it was useless because he didn't have enough time to aim and touch while blocking and avoiding her attacks. The wall of fire wasn't a problem, but he was afraid the girl with the whip succeeded to find another way to get him. He tried to harm her left wrist with his right dagger, and noticed she was smiling. He jumped backwards and took another stance. "What keeps you smiling ?"

Perfect, thought Coer in a split second. The fire which had been aimed for behind Akane had been brought to Akane herself because of her innate firebending mastery, and she had split it apart. The volley of flames he had prepared now unleashed, as Akane had apparently been thrown mentally offbalance by setting her mind behind her body.

Flinging his arms out, from his palms he shot a number of flechette-like sparks of fire, crackling amidst each other and spreading out in a grid as they aimed for the master firebender. They were as sharp as they were hot. And now that his attack had been made, he had to move both to dodge any return attacks by Akane and to get into another manueverable attack position.

At the same instant he realized that Juraia had been burned. Yet she moved as normal, drawing blades and heading directly for Akane. Time to draw the Lotus Eater's fire away.

"Fire master!" he yelled to get Akane's attention. "Care to dance?" From his new position he released more fire flechettes; the master was caught in a pincer.

Juraia raised a hasty forearm to block the spear blow to her head, letting the painful impact of the blow push her back enough to make the spear blow glance along her side, raising a thin cut along her ribs. The fire wave was dodged with sideways roll, pain stitching along her fresh wound. Under cover of the blast and Coer's flurry, she threw one of the knives straight up, the curvature of the blade ensuring it came right back down at Akane's head. A second knife was drawn, the Veteran Huntress circling around to gather soem energy before charging in again.

Hokori shrugged in a 'why not' fashion and charged forward with an enthusiactic 'Hai!'. She drove her punch dagger sraight at Di-Jei's gut, pushing to her left on one foot after the stab to power a spinning follow up with the other weapon. Every sense tingled with bloodlust, the adrenilen and sweat doting her brow glistening in the light of the dueling floor.

Anei had found a new perch on the third floor of the pagoda, weapon peaking out of the shadows at the Master between her... boyfriend and her mother. Heh. Keep the Lotus Eater Witch on her toes. A quick exhale, and another poisoned dart joined the flurry of projectles homing on the master's body, spiralling in like the shadow of Ko himself.
