Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Jumping lightly Akira turned to the voice. "Don't sneak up on people like that!" Akira says twitching lightly as he regains his composure, bringing his hands out in a classic defencive stance, eyeing the sword catiously. "But if you want me to have first move... I think its best if you get off that rock.." Akira says loudly as the boulder Kaven was sitting on began to shift, Akira's hand outstretched to it, before the boulder began rolling backwards, down the slight hill they where on, although it moved more than slow enough for his opponent to get off without any harm.

Kiishu approached the figure in the distance. It was Kanea, of course. She was holding two swords (or is it one?). He had brought his own weapon, a long staff. Her swords wouldn't cut through it, but she was more skilled than he was, at least with weapons. He would have to find a way to disarm her. "Are you ready?" He at least had one advantage in this fight... He was used to the cold. It didn't bother him at all. He readied himself in a defensive stance.

Karena immediately reacted as she saw him coming towards her. She immediately dropped down and rolled and then did a kick on the ground towards Shijin's feet, and then quickly spun on the ground, and did it again, hoping to knock him off his feet, which would give her an advantage, night or not. Seriously, though, Karena wanted to beat him. How stupid could one person be?

OOC: SHIJIN! WHAT DOES BASIC MEAN TO YOU? Mountains, piles of spikes, multiple boulders, and rock fists are not within your ability to control. Your posts should be more like this:

While Karena was recovering, he crouched down, lifting a fairly large chunk of earth into the air. Due to it's mass, it was a strain on his body holding it there, even by earthbending. With all the strength he could muster, he threw the earth chunk toward her. It went slow, but perhaps the shockwave of it hitting the ground would be enough to throw her off, at least long enough for another attack.

It is not so simple as you think to bend earth. It takes physical strength and mental discipline to throw around rock like that. Even King Bumi, fast and strong as he was, still used his muscles when he fought the Avatar. 13-year-old kids do NOT have that kind of power and discipline. PLEASE post accordingly.

By the way, when I say fairly large chunk of earth, I don't mean human-sized. I mean torso-sized.

Jin Hu smirked slightly at his opponent's answer, but it changed as he saw the barbed chain coming straight at him. Thinking quickly he slowed down enough so that he could time his counter. He looked expectantly at the chain and as it closed in on him, he did an aerial cartwheel over the chain and watched as it past by.

After he dodged the chain he stayed low still running at his opponent. But this time he had his right hand on the grip of his hammer. He then yelled out,"Is that all you got?"

Halaku raised an eyebrow at Jin Hu's taunt as he killed the whip's momentum with a fierce upward snap of his arm and clanged it against the ground.

With his foe right on top of him, there was no time for another lash, but six feet of flexible, barbed metal was never useless. He tumbled forward with his chain-covered forearm out, timing his stop so that the metal covered limb went for Hu's face, the remainder of the weapon trailing behind the blow like a serpent.

Okay if thats the way he wants to play, Jin Hu thought. Jin Hu being the bold man that he was didn't care to try to dodge the attack, only to counteratttack with something of the same ferocity. He moved his left arm in front of his face horizontally to meet with Halaku's arm, and it did.

The barbs of the chain met with the studs of his bracer in an evening out of sorts, but the barbs still pushed into his skin. They were now at a standstill, but not for long. Jin Hu shifted his weight to his right leg and twisted, at the same time he unsheathed his hammer striking out with extreme velocity.

The shift in his opponents weight was just enough of a warning to allow Halaku to break away from the hammer blow. The strike impacted the dirt as Halku rose to a combat stance four feet away. The Galgori gripped the chainwhip midway up its length, making it into a more managable melee weapon.

He liked this. It was honest. A quiet frenzy of thought ran through his head. Fighting Benders with their power hampered by his tricks seemed dirty compared to this matching of flesh vs flesh, steel vs steel.

With this in mind, he darted forward on the balls of his feet, letting in the shortened chain lash upward, main barb hungry for the other's flesh.

As Jin Hu stood there looking at his opponent for those brief seconds, he smiled. He now had both hammers in either hand and was ready.

This is a man's fight, he thought. Better to be like this without bending abilities hampering me in any form or way, to fight honestly.

His thoughts were brought to a close as his opponent striked at him with his whip. "Uh-oh." The Golden Tiger spun to the side, the chain grazing his shoulder a bit as he did so. Taking it in stride he used the momentum of the spin and lashed out with his right leg hoping to catch Halaku's upper torso or face.

The kick drove the Galgori from his feet and he fell backwards. His free hand slipped into his robe and came out with a cluster of shurikens. A snap of the wrist and the flurry of projectles hurled at Jin hu's torso.

He used the seconds offered by the strike to rise to his feet again, chain ready to respond should it be needed. Halaku's face slipped into battle calm.

Jin Hu's face went from thoughtful battle-readiness into hurried panic as he spotted the shuriken coming at him. He dropped back a few steps and as they came ever closer he twisted his hands and hammers in front of his torso in a whirlwind-like manuever. His hammers blocked two each while his left bracer caught one.

But one managed to find a hole and sink its teeth deep into his torso. He staggered for a second as he looked down at his chest and seen that the shuriken had actually pierced a spot in his tiger tattoo.

With this Jin Hu let out a bestial roar that was backed by adrenaline . He took it out, licked his blood off and threw it back at his assailant. He twisted and in a swift motion took the one out of his bracer and threw it. He now stood there breathing heavy awaited his opponent's counter-move.

(Meh.)

Mildy surprised by the unorthodox tactic, Halaku was slow to dodge the returning shurikens and one of them punched home in his upper shoulder. It hurt, but he had enough adrenilen to worry about that later. He nodded once as the blood began to stain his robes, "Impressive."

He stalked to the right, chain singing one, two, three times at Jin Hu. The metal, alternately blackened and gleaming, formed a whistling, clanging storm about him, driven by skills long mastered against foes who could kill him with a mere breath. He would not lose this fight. The barb was hungry, as hungry as Halaku's grey eyes were cold.

OOC to Karena: Hey, can Firebenders bend Lava? I presume so, as does Deyna, but we wanted to check first.

OOC: I know I'm not your GM, but lava is liquid rock. Fire is completely different. Fire is the rapid oxidation of materials, aka burning. Lava/magma is rock heated to its melting point. Besides the fact that they're both really hot, lava and fire really have nothing in comman at all. If anything, lava should be able to be bended by earthbenders, but not by firebenders. Besides, I hope you don't plan on hitting anyone with lava... that's an instant death, and if you ask me, disqualification.

OOC: I agree with Kiishu. No one bends lava. Period. However, you can bend the fire that lava creates> i want to make a note to those of you in Env. 1: You're in the Fire Nation. Just remember that, so that automtically gives them an Advantage, me thinks.

(ooc: sorry Kiishu )

Shijin exhausted from all the bending he just did he didn't even notice Karena coming at him. He gets knocked down to on his back he rolls to the side avoiding the second kick. He struggles to get up not only was his body tired from the bending but also the pain in his shoulder grew and rolling on it didn't help. Breathing hard, he goes in a fighting pose trying to be prepared for what Karena will do.

"Ha... figures." Jin Hu smirked as he realized what his opponent had planned to do. He was so consumed by adrenalin that he didn't even bother to try to dodge the first lash, he only tried to soften it as he spun to the left and gashed him in his shoulder.

But he was already in movement, the second lash came towards him and he leaned back. He started running in the same direction that Halaku was. As he spotted the last attack he tried to think quick. Damn, its coming pretty fast and I can't roll, it's too hot. Eureka!!!

Jin Hu stopped just as the chain came to hit him, but just then he raised his hammer and the chain met with it and wrapped around the handle. It cut his hand a little bit but it was worth it. As it was full wrapped around he did one helluva yank to try to pull it out of his advesarie's hands.

Halaku frowned as his chain was caught, thankful that he locked the weapon in place on his arm before this fight. Nevertheless, he was pulled toward his opponent, stumbling to his knees. The ground burned him, another wound to leech his reserves.

The Galgori pulled a knife in his free hand and pushed upwards from the ground, the weapon slashing at his foe's head. The two men were functionally chained together at close quarters. This could only get uglier.

"Ummph!!!" Jin Hu grunted as he leaned back to dodge the strike. And as he leaned back he lifted his hand with chain in tow. As he dodged he wrapped the chain over the knife and almost caught the assassin's hand.

With this he dropped his hammer on the ground, which had the chain on it, and yelled out as he let out a powerful punch with his now free right hand.
