o0o0o that would definitely be cool.
but someone earlier mentioned light-bending, and i like that one. it makes sense cause light is pretty much in infinite supply (during the day at least), and since light is energy i suppose one could think up some pretty devastating attacks

Light is produced by anything hot enough to glow, which is basically fire anyway.

Also I did note that the Void-benders would have to be LARGELY de-powered if they were to be in the show. And like someone else mentioned, if we took into account all of the elements it would really only add those three, since light/shadow aren't really "elements".

That'd be a water bender, because ink is a form of liquid... Hey, I could bend my coke!

And before anyone says so, Lightning is a sub-school of Fire bending (Zuko's sister practices it).

There could be alot of other bending arts out there, but Water, Earth, Fire, and Air are the basic ones.

Yeah, we know that. We're discussing what OTHER nations there could be on the show.

Light benders would be pretty cool, but it doesn't seem as it light could do much serious damage. It could blind, but what else??

If there are other benders they would have to "balance out". For example Earth is the opposite of Air and Water is the opposite of Fire. I'm having a hard time believing that Void balances anything. Metal is viable as an off shoot of Earth Bending but Wood is not likely as Water bender can bend plants.

I think that light and shadow benders would be cool to but I really doubt that there are going to be any other nations added to the show, but who knows??

It is highly unlikely. Back in the good al days (never mean no harm) people belived that the core elemants in the world were water, earth, fire, and air. They believed that every thing had some of each. Just old primative middle age science, though more like myth.

well, this would be interesting. There could be bending arts like sound, darkness, light, electricity (as it's own element and not just an offshoot of fire), metal, and even life (like being able to manipulate the life force in things).

btw, Earth benders cannot bend metal (in the show, at that earth kingdom town occupied by fire nation, earth benders were taken out to a metal oil rig to work, and because they were surrounded by metal not earth, they were powerless), so metal is plausible as its own element.

Your wrong, Earthbenders can bend metal but it can't be smelted. If it's smelted they can't bend it.
