What a boring day today.
In addition to studying, maybe Ill watch TLoK AGAIN with a specific eye to a Korra character study.

Register to vote, y'all! And then do it. Every single election you possibly can. Don't just vote in presidential elections. Vote every single chance you get. That's how we build the country we want to live in.

Meh. Kammmiii. Chocolate isn't working. My head still hurts. Maybe I'll have some pie. It won't help, but I do like pie.

What a completely boring Saturday. Most of the time I just leave my computer sitting with TARP open in a tab as I go about my life elsewhere, which is why I seem to be logged in so much but today... Today was so boring I was frequently stopping by.
I should do replies but... tired. And a character to be made!

Ugh, work was pissing me off today. I don't care what you do when you're outside of work, but when you don't work to talk about it, it pisses me off.

I remember Zoboomafoo. If only because my friend loved it and would always remind me of it when we were talking about shows we used to watch.

Hundreds and hundreds of Kanji to study. *brain shatters*. And yet, Kami-reply and new character to do. Aiyee.

^ I was so frustrated with my Japanese class. One day lesson on hiragana, one on katakana, then BAM ALL KANJI ALL THE TIME. ~~~learned nothing.

I've been at it for five years, so its not like its unusual its just... sooo many. They're more frustrating than Chinese Hanzi as well. Variable meanings and all that wonderful things that they don't have in Chinese. Obviously I know hiragana and katakana as well as I know the roman (english) alphabet.
Its amazing as I just begin to learn Korean. While my vocabulary is zilch, I can 'sound out' a Korean newspaper already. After just two days. I still can't read a Japanese newspaper. I think Kanji are really pretty and I get why they keep them but goodness... They're frustrating to a foreign learner.

Ewwwwww, Puffs. Only originals for me!

Thats sort of a rumor, its hard to be objective on difficulty. Because beyond grammar, syntax, etc etc you have to consider things like number of speakers and presence of materials. English isn't actually too bad. Difficult, but not too bad. If I remember reading something somewhere correctly, English isn't your first language Kami, so naturally you'd have a way better first-hand experience than I! If I'm remembering incorrectly, my apologies.
Its also hard for native English speakers to judge how hard English actually is. I'm sure many countries consider it extremely difficult, but I haven't been able to do that research. I know the top few for a native English speaker to learn, as considered by just about every language institute about.
1. Korean (easy to read, grammar is brutal)
2. Chinese (brutal to read, grammar is easy)
3. Japanese (hard to read, grammar is hard)
4. Modern Standard Arabic (its just wildly different)
5. Polish (I can't actually remember why)
Then it sort of spirals off from there. Yes, I'm a card carrying language geek.

Ewww, no, never! They're so ugh... Its like biting cheesy, fake air! FAKE AIR! D<

Thats when you smack them with a 'You're using "fallacy x". Your argument is invalid." And you walk away. Haha, I've actually taken classes on argumentation. First you try, for a very long time, to respectfully move around their fallacies. After awhile you just lay the smack down and walk away x3.
