Tori Kaiuto

1. What is your character's name?

Tori Kaiuto

2. Where is your character from?

Ba Sing Se's Lower Ring. Because she locked herself out, in a sense, she now travels the world as a nomad.

3. What is your character's age?

15 years old.

4. What does your character look like?

Average in all ways and, in her case, under developed. She's slightly pear shaped and very skinny, but she has clearly visible muscles. Her hair is short and spiky, for she has no patience to care for longer tresses. Her face is sharp but it has a certain roundness to it, and a small birthmark is located under her bangs.

She wears beautiful clothes. The fabric is cheap silk bought at a flea market, but it had gold threaded through it, courtesy of her mother. It flows out from her body, but when it reaches her wrists and shins it darkens in color and wraps snugly against her body. A gold obi is tied around her waist. She wear a black bodysuit that's great for insulation. She wears an earthbender insignia on a chain, an heirloom of her mother's.

5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far.

Tori's parents were name Xhi and Aerich. Aerich was an earthbender, while Xhi was a firebender. Xhi, when she was younger, had lost both of her parents to an illness and had to take care of her family. Because of this, she stole often, and was caught by the guards, who beat her. She began to hate them with a passion and exploded at them, throwing a wave of flames. They got sick of her and threw her in a cell. Sher doesn't know what happened to her family. Military guards came in and saw that she had potential and brought her to a camp. There she met Aerich and fell gradually in love. Together, they escaped the military.

They didn't want to risk going back to the fire nation so they traveled to Ba Sing Se and took up Earthbender Aliases. Xhi completely buried her firebending until she was no longer able to do it anymore. They two became part of a resistance and did all they could to help. Xhi became pregnant, and while the Rebellions's officials warned her that it shouldn't stop their loyalty to the resistance, they had a baby girl. Their schedule went as planned and they were able to nurture her while fighting against the fire nation.

When Tori was two, her parents came home to find her cradling a flame in her hand. Shocked, they scolded her and stopped her from doing it again. They whispered stories in her ear to make her fear the fire nation. Seven years later, Tori's father died in a fight against Fire Nation guards. Her mother was distraught, but still did all she could to care for their offspring.

When Tori was 13, she had a date with a local boy but wasn't permitted to go out after sunset. In her anger, she burned her mother, who was taken away by a healer. Said person shot the teen a dirty look and Tori, in her fright, hid in a cargo cart and fled Ba Sing Se. A week later, feeling homesick, she realized she was unable to get back in, because rumors of her had spread. She didn't even know if her mother was dead or alive.

For two years she has traveled the world, learning everything she could. While she still wants to get back into Ba Sing Se, she is reluctant to relinquish the freedom she has known. She has yet to find a firebending master she can learn from, for the most she can do is conjure up a flame.

6. What does your character like? Dislike?

Tori likes to be in charge of any situation. Being naturally bossy and leader-like, she usually takes control when she can. She likes the feeling of having orders obeyed. She tries to have people look up to her. She likes to learn new things and being able to have an advantage of anyone else. Although her firebending isn't very top, she prefers to study how it works rather then use it. She wants toprove to people that fire isn't only a source of destruction, that they need it for heat and light. In fact, she doubts many know that they use is every day, almost naturally. When she's not joking around and making a fool of everyone around her, she likes to sit and contemplate over things.

She dislikes being questioned, for she believe that everyone's business is their own. That doesn't stop her from being naturally nosy and curious herself, however. Children seem to get under her skin, but as of now, she doesn't really know why. Seems that as soon as they come into the picture, she feels annoyed. She doesn't like being judged because of her bending abilities, and gets furious when anyone is surprised of where she comes from. She gets embarassed very easily, and hates being made a fool of.

7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad?

Tori is loyal and kindhearted and is always willing to help those she calls friends. While she's not exactly trustworthy, for she would rather keep things to herself, she's wise, even in her young years. She would put her life on the line for an ally. However, she has a very bad temper and it doesn't take much to strike her match. She rarely forgets words spoken with malice and will usually do everything she can to get back at people who judge her. Knowig how it feels to go hungry, she usually shares her meals with anyone who are worse off then her.

She will speak her mind without thinking, and because of this, usually hurts peoples feelings. She has her own opinions and will always speak out, even when she's not asked. She particularely lovers animals, asnd hates tamers or zoos of any kind. In fact, she had been known to try and steal into a show and set some of the animals free. She usually listens very intently to anything you tell her to look for a weak point, and she's a menace at blackmailing people to get what she wants.

8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character?

Tori is a firebender, inheriting the skill from her mother. Her parents were surprised, for they thought that the length of time Xhi had covered her bending, they believed the gene was all but gone. They had believed she would become a fantastic earthbender. She only remembered she could bend when she burned her mother, and ran away. She's disgusted at both herself and her parents for not telling her about her nation, but still bears the traditional red clothing of firebenders. She looks for a master, for she believes that in order to relieve the guilt she feels, she could use her abilities to help the rebellions.

9. What or who is important to your character and why?

As of now, Tori has no close friends that she cares about. Travelling for two years, many people had tended to avoid her because of her clothing. While she outwardly holds an uncaring and joking air, her carefree jokes are usually very serious under the lighthearted tone. In fact, the only person she had really gotten close to was an earthbender rebel who had, surprisingly, trusted her when she tried to steal from a rich man. However, her mother is always a hairs breadth away from her mind and she cares very deeply about kin. Since her father passed away, Xhi and Tori had a lot of very deep bonding times, and she feels closer to her then ever. Both women were distraught when they realized that they had nobody bringing money in, and, because of that, Tori had gone so low as to try and steal, no matter how hard her mother persuaded her not to. Yet, for all the caring feelings she holds about her mother, she can't help but distrust her. Knowing her mother was from the firenation, she knew she had to lie to everybody they met in order to keep up an earthbender alias. She also feels angered at the fact they hid that she was a firebender and not confided in her.

10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why?

Even unbeknown to herself, Tori has a great fear of rejection. She has traveled alone for quite some time, and because of that, she hasn't much friends and isn't willing to try. She fears water, for she cannot swim, and she believes that her bending is powerless to save her if she drowns. Secretly, although scorning the fire nation, she fears it greatly and often has nightmares; a result of the horrors her parents told her of.

11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why?

The one main thing Tori wants to do is prove to others that all firebenders aren't evil. She hates the fact, because of her nation, that everyones scorns her people, even those who try to help. She wants to overthrow the tyrannical Lord Ozai and destroy anybody who supports him. What he's doing to the world is doing nothing for firebenders' reputation, even the evil ones.

1. What is your character's name?

Aimi Devi Kyoko

2. Where is your character from?

A small Fire Nation village

3. What is your character's age?

16

4. What does your character look like?

Small, pixie-like build, standing at only five foot two and is extremely flexible. She is slim and slightly curvy. Aimi’s skin is ridiculously pale, looking as if she had never been in the sun, yet it isn’t the sickly pale that has the slightest tinge of green. Her face is heart-shaped surrounded by long, waist-length raven black hair. Her hair, when in the sunlight, seems to have purple and blue in it, like a raven’s feathers. Large, almond shaped, copper colored eyes are set underneath slim arched eyebrows with long curled lashes. Her nose is slim and straight except for the slight upturn at the end of it. Her cheekbones lie high and slanted on her face, her cheeks usually naturally rosy. She has many scars, the largest one being one that reaches from left hip to the right side of her jaw, sliding across her back. She has a single burn on her right palm which is in the odd shape that somewhat resembles a lotus. There is also a thin, pale pink line that runs from the corner of her eye to right above her left ear.

She wears a long red skirt that is split up the sides for mobility, with black leggings underneath. Her top is a matching red, is skin tight, and has no sleeves. The neckline goes right to the collarbone, a long sweeping piece that looks almost separate. Over top she usually wears a long black robe, tailored so that it had some shape and lined with red. The sleeves are loose and almost bell shaped.

5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far.

Aimi Devi was born to Kata and Nirzon Kyoko. Kata was a simple servant to one of the higher ranking citizens in the Fire Nation capital. Nirzon, when he met Kata and when Aimi was born, was a member of the Fire Nation army, and proud of it. He didn't witness her birth because of duty elsewhere...

At the age of three Aimi tried to touch a fireball her older sister Kai Lee was playing with. The fire quickly burned her palm, leaving it dark and somewhat shiny. Whenever something touched it an odd tingling feeling would shoot up her arm. She grew up with her parents, Kata and Nirzon and her three older siblings Maylin, Kai Lee, and Dezkon in a small fire nation village. They were pretty well off in the village’s standards thanks to her father being in the Fire Nation army, but they weren't rich. Each of the siblings got the best master in the village to teach them, a woman by the name of Ling-Rai.

By the time Aimi was taught by her, Ling-Rai expected much out of her. She expected Aimi to be an excellent swordsman and an amazing firebender. Aimi however was not as good as the best of them, though she was better than most of the other kids in the village. However, due to later circumstances, Aimi was unable to receive full training, and never got much higher than a basic-intermediate level. Though she didn’t easily weild a sword because of her tiny size, she did wield other weapons well. She preferred throwing stars and daggers, though once introduced to a fan, she learned how to maneuver that like a Kyoshi warrior, though it wasn't as good as it could've been not having a proper teacher in the way of the fan. However, no matter what her accomplishments were (even if they were small accomplishments), she was still treated like a baby, treated as if she was a child unable to do anything.

One day after she had spent the day in the forest, neglecting her chores at home, her father took a sword and slashed her across the back, teaching her a permanent lesson never to disobey his wishes. Not too long after her father had to retire because of an agni-kai he had to fight in which he lost his sight thanks to a fire-whip that had whipped across his eyes. Nirzon began to rely on Aimi, thinking she would be able to replace him once she was old enough. But Aimi didn’t want that. She wanted love, and she had thought she had found someone in the village: she enjoyed spending time with him and even snuck out to see him. When her father found out he took a whip to her, but only got her face as she ran away as quickly as she could behind her mothers back who could understand such things. It wasn’t the fact that she was meeting a boy; it was the fact that he was an immigrant from the earth kingdom colonies.

Though she enjoyed a fight, she had more fun contorting herself into odd shapes and sitting outside with the world. She loved and unfortunately she was brought up to think that fire was destruction and death, not light and warmth. So, on her sixteenth birthday she decided to leave once and for all. In her opinion she wasn’t leaving anything behind, she had no friends, her siblings were snobbish to her, and her parents didn’t have much room for her unless she was helping them around the house.

So she left them without a backwards glance.

6. What does your character like? Dislike?

Aimi likes nature and likes the dark. Though her fire abilities are weaker in the dark, she likes the way the fire doesn't seem as destructive, but like a source of light. Nature was a pretty thing that always seemed a bit out of reach for her because she feared she would destroy it with fire. She likes to wield her fan, because it's something different than what most people do. Though she might not look it, Aimi loves to eat, and though she knows how to go a few days without a good meal and how not to complain about it, she eats as lavishly as possible when given the chance. She likes to draw and write, because it helps her record who's she's seen and what she's done. She likes to play music and sing as well, even though she hasn't had much practice with either. Odd as it seems, she doesn't dislike the water, she almost envies it and it's abilities.

She really doesn't like people who complain all the time, can't think for themselves, or are otherwise just obnoxious. She doesn't hold much in store for extreme girly-girls either. Aimi doesn't like to fly, and is therefore uncomfortable in any balloon or any other flying contraption. She dislikes war, though she does enjoy a good fight. She dislikes being trapped, though being isolated she doesn't mind so much.

7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad?

She has a high endurability to pain, which allows her to almost never give up. Aimi will accept criticism and will usually do her best to fix whatever is wrong, or is thought to be wrong. She is kind and will help those in dire need. If it's something they can get themselves though, she will set them straight and have them get it themselves. She doesn't cry much, so it keeps people from feeling overly sympathetic. She stands up for herself and others as well if she thinks wrong has been done to them. She smiles a lot and isn't afraid to laugh.

She has a rather quick temper and many of the slightest things can set her off, though she is good at hiding it. She is embarassed easily, and though her face can stay blank, the flush of her cheeks and necks can sometimes give away her feelings. Sometimes, she can be a bit selfish, but she tries not to be.

8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character?

Aimi is a firebender, but only at a basic-intermediate level because she left home. She was taught by the best firebender in her village, Ling-Rai.

9. What or who is important to your character and why?

At the moment, there isn't any person that is important to her, for she left everyone behind. Though she cares for her siblings and her mother, she feels like they all paid a contribution to the reasons behind her leaving. However, happiness and peace is important to Aimi. Doing her best, overcoming (or just accepting) the obstacles and challenges of life, and helping others is important to her as well. Being there for people and listening to others is also important. The things that are important to her are things that she thinks make her a better person and are things that will do well for others, not just herself.

10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why?

Aimi is, though she doesn't like to admit it, scared of her father. He never seemed to understand how much pain she went through because of him and he wouldn't stop. No matter how much she cried out, he would continue punishments, harming her until sometimes, death threatened to take her. She fears that she will never find another purpose for her abilities other than death and destruction. She also fears being called weak and being hurt by someone that is close to her, she has been hurt enough without having that done. Her greatest fear is dying by her own fire used against her, for though she sees fire as destruction, it would be the ultimate destruction and not something she would ever want to see something that obeyed her harm her.

11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why?

Her goal is to find a different way to fire, something other than destruction by its way, which has always been something she's wanted to do. Another goal is to find friends and possibly make a name for herself. Having friends is a concept almost foreign to her, and she always envied those who had them. Making a name for herself is something she's never had, being considered rather mediocre in the village and in the eyes of the elders.

Questions:
1. What is your character's name?
Masami Ito

2. Where is your character from? Originally from the Earth Kingdom, but she now lives in the Northern Water Tribe.

3. What is your character's age? 18

4. What does your character look like?

Masami means “elegant beauty,” and that certainly describes the young woman in question. Starting from the top, she has black, straight hair that comes down to the middle of her back. Her bangs come down to just above her eyes. She has a green headband around her head. Her face is an oval shape. Her eyes are sea green in color, though their color lightens or darkens depending upon her mood. Her face is thin, but she is very pretty.

Masami wears a green robe to match her eyes, with brown trim and a brown sash around the waist. She keeps a stash of throwing knives in pockets on the inside of her robe. Under the robe, she wears a brown shirt and leggings. The Earth Kingdom insignia is stitched into the middle of the sash, displaying Masami’s pride for her nation.

5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far.

Masami was born to two non-bending Earth Kingdom natives in a small town near the coast of the Kingdom. As such, she was also unable to bend. She was a quiet, and this trait stayed with her as she got older. She was a shy child, but as she entered school and interacted with the other children, she made some friends and began to become playful and more adventurous. Her parents were happy, and encouraged this whenever they could.

When Masami was 7, and against the wishes of the girl’s mother, Masami’s father began to train her to defend herself with throwing knives. He knew that a time might come when the Fire Nation found their village and tried to destroy it. Though he hoped that if that time came his daughter would get away safely, he knew that she’d probably just be killed along with everyone else. So, he trained her so that she might be able to go down fighting. Masami loved the training, and spent every evening throwing knives at targets her father had set up for her. She grew to be accurate with the knives.

When Masami was 10, her parents decided to take her with them to a special traders market at the northern tip of the Earth Kingdom. The voyage went smoothly up until they were almost at their destination. The ship they were on had a problem with its engine, and it ended up crashing into an iceberg near the North Pole. Masami somehow found a piece of the ship and clung to that. She drifted for about a day, and was found by some Waterbenders from the Northern Water Tribe. She was freezing, and the Waterbenders could tell from her clothes that she was the Earth Kingdom, so they took pity on the girl and brought her back to the tribe with them. There, Masami was adopted by a kind couple. She grew to love them, but still missed her parents, who were never found.

When she was first found and adopted and still had bouts of depression punctuated by nightmares and quite a bit of weeping, her new parents found that the girl was most calmed by being near the Spirit Oasis. They pleaded with the Tribe's elders to allow Masami to visit the Oasis every once in a while in order to help make her transition into her new home easier. At first, the elders were dead-set against the idea, but after seeing just how great the change that came over the girl was, they relented, with the condition that there be a guard present to make sure that Masami didn't harm the Oasis or the spirit koi circling within it. After a few years with no incidents, however, they decided that she was safe enough, and allowed her to visit the Oasis unguarded whenever she pleased, though if she is there for an unusually long amount of time they send someone to check on her.

Now Masami spends her time either practicing with her knives, walking around the tribe, or just sitting by the Oasis thinking wistfully of her parents.

6. What does your character like? Dislike?

Masami likes being with others, even if she is merely there and not interacting with them. She loves being at the Spirit Oasis, and spends quite a bit of her time there. She likes feeling needed and having people she can call her friends. She loves to watch Waterbending, as she thinks it's the most beautiful thing in the world. Her favorite activity would probably be training with her knives, as this calms her when she is upset and gives her a feeling of security.

Masami hates rude, snobbish people. If anyone is rude to her repeatedly, she will turn and walk away from them, though she might slap them depending on just how rude they were. She also loathes being alone, and is constantly seeking the company of others. She dislikes the Fire Nation, though since she hasn't had very much interaction with it, she can't say just how much she dislikes it.

7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad?

Masami is sensitive to the moods of others, and can very easily tell when someone is feeling down. If someone is feeling down, she will instantly be there to comfort them. She is very patient, and often wins arguments by simply standing there and waiting for her opponent to burn off their anger. She is very protective of her friends, and will fight for them if needed, even if it means putting herself in danger. She is very loyal, and will stick by her friends no matter what happens.

Masami is very cautious around strangers, and takes a while to warm up to new people. If someone is rude to her, she gets angry quickly, and will sometimes even end up slapping the offender. Because she is very protective, she can be a bit reckless, and often rushes into situations and gets in way over her head. She is easily embarrassed, though she tries not to show it.

8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character?

Masami does not bend. To give her some sort of way to defend herself, her father taught her how to throw knives. She continues to practice with the knives, and can throw them with great accuracy, though she has little practice on swiftly moving targets.
9. What or who is important to your character and why?

The most important people to Masami are her friends. She places a great deal of trust in them and is very loyal to them. Following them would be her parents, even though she doesn't know if they are even still alive. She misses them terribly, and prays every day to the Spirits so that they might allow her to meet her parents again. Next would be herself. She wants to make sure that she is constantly safe (unless her friends need her). At the end of the day, if it came to a choice between a friend's life and her own, she might just choose her own, though the choice would be heart-breaking for her.

10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why?

Masami's greatest fear is of being alone, both in the physical and the emotional sense. When she first came to the North Pole, even though she was adopted, she was basically alone. She had no friends, and had not yet accepted her new parents. She never wants to feel that crushing loneliness again, and she will do anything she can to make sure she has friends. She also fears death, because to her it is just another form of loneliness.

11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why?

Masami's main goal is to find happiness. She wants to meet a great guy, settle down, and start a family. That way, she will never be alone. She also wants to find her parents again, if they are still alive. To that end, she wants to go back to the Earth Kingdom, in order to search for any sign that her parents might still live.

Questions:
1. What is your character's name?
Akita/Agita.
2. Where is your character from? She was born one of the villages on Kyoshi Island, but her ancestors were from the Southern Water Tribe.
3. What is your character's age? They are 28 years old (although Agita appeared during Akita's teenage years).
4. What does your character look like? Akita/Agita is of medium size, like 5 feet 7 inches. She has long dark brown hair that are always smoothly shaped, because she cares a lot about her appearance. Her eyes are moonlit night blue when she's Akita, but they are dark ocean blue when she's Agita. Although most of the time we can only see one, because she covers the other with a strand of hair. Sometimes she opens that other eye, but it is barely noticeable through the dark brown hair. She is very sexy, and likes to wear clothes that show all her features, although not too openly. That's why she doesn't like wearing the Kyoshi Warrior outfit, and when she does, she leaves out all the make-up and the armor. Most of the time, she wears bright clothes, blue or white, and she also likes wearing leather, as she believes leather clothes exist solely for women, even though she favors leather boots. Other than that, she wearss gloves with no fingertips that grasp water very easily, and has many metal wires strapped around her forearms. Her skin is rather bright, unlike most Southern Tribe Waterbenders, and that's because she comes from Kyoshi Island. Plus she has a tattoo on her back, that represents a pair of wings: one is an angel's, the other is a demon's. And finally, she has two waterskins that she wears on her back and waist.
5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far. Akita was born in one of the seaside villages of Kyoshi Island. Her ancestors were natives of the Southern Water Tribe, and part of those who fled the continent after the first attack by the Fire Nation. They settled on Kyoshi Island, certain that the war would never reach this place. And it didn't, as their descendants up to Akita had never encountered any trouble from them. She was an only child, which made her feel kind of lonely, even though she had some friends. But they were quite different, as she was idolizing Avatar Kyoshi for being probably the most independent woman in history. And when she discovered her Waterbending, after she was able to heal her scratched hands under water, she decided to become a kind of new Kyoshi. But she couldn't find anyone who understood her. She never really tried to anyway, because she was not the type of people to go towards others.

That loneliness led her to a strange behavior when she was about 8 years old, that she didn't notice herself at first, but that her parents did. That's why they made her become a Kyoshi Warrior and undergo training. She never understood why she needed to become part of this group, which was comprised of non-benders, when she was a Waterbender, but she did it anyway, because she loved her parents, who were everything she had. They also made her focus on her Waterbending, making her perfect her healing abilities and learn to manipulate water as best as they could. They tried not to be too harsh on her, but they believed that a demon had followed her ancestors from the Water Tribe and was now trying to possess her. And unknown to her, as she was developing her abilities, so did the demon growing inside her. As such, they also tried teaching her about her true culture, all their knowledge and philosophy. They made her non-violent, unless it is for her own protection, and kind-hearted to those she loved.

But learning all of that at the same time would often lead to sudden fainting. Moreover, as she was growing, her body was becoming more attractive, making boys harrass her all day. She was having hard times dealing with all of that at the same time. She was finally making progress when her parents got really sick, and she was totally unable to help them, despite all her knowledge of healing. Afraid that Akita might get devoured by the demon they feared, they made her promise to become an angel, before they passed away. But after their funeral, Akita realized that sometimes she could lose control of her own body and blackout. And when she recovered, she found herself about to do, or having done terrible and sinful things. She knew that she was never the one to do that, but it seemed her body remembered having done them. Since her parents had taught her a little about spirituality, she tried making contact with whoever was doing that with meditation, by using water as a gate.

That's how she ended up in the strangest of places. She was sitting on a cloud, hovering in a moonlit sky, over a very dark ocean, on which the reflection of the moon was odly neat. And from that ocean emerged an ice statue of herself that could move and speak. Akita realized it was probably her mind. That's how Agita was born, and how Akita discovered the truth about her. However, they were able to make a compromise and coexist, as Akita realized that Agita was able to do everything she couldn't. She didn't know what Agita was exactly, but she most certainly wasn't a human being of her own. Most importantly, she was a presence. Akita had lost everything when her parents died, but now she had someone, as odd as she might be. And Agita didn't seem to mind, as it was better to share the whole than to only have some at random times. They mostly had one rule: when the right eye was covered, Akita was in charge, and when the left eye was covered, it was Agita's turn. But despite this rule, they were still able to interact through the body during each other's turn. Anyway, to make their bond stronger, they had someone make a tattoo on her back, when she was 21, that would mark the relationship between them. An angel wing on the left side of her back, and a demon wing on the right.

The strange thing was that Agita was becoming "kind of" normal. She still had dark thoughts and all the darkness in her mind, but at least her appearance in their mind resembled Akita's, which somehow allowed the latter to cope with her "sister"'s aggressivity. Sometimes they left Kyoshi Island in order to have some fun (especially during Agita's turn), but they always came back to Kyoshi, since it was their home. But when the Fire Nation attacked and the Avatar stopped by, they weren't there, and couldn't do anything. From then on, and since Akita had no bonds other than with Agita, she decided that she would become independent as she had always wished, mostly self-centered, but never too selfish (she keep in mind her parents' culture and philosophy, though she would only care about herself and Agita), which suited Agita perfectly. That's why they left Kyoshi Island immediately with the money her parents had spared, three gold pieces, a hundred and seventeen silver, and seventy-two copper coins. When they did so, Agita kindly pointed out that Akita had become a witch, as she had no bonds to the world, was dealing with a demon, and possessed remarkable abilities along with astonishing beauty. Akita gently replied that her bending was tying her to the world, and that Agita was a real pain. Ever since, she wanders in the Earth Kingdom, doing whatever she wants, obeying her "instincts".
6. What does your character like? Dislike? Akita dislikes boys, for starters. She believes only few of them actually deserve to be by the sides of women, and that they are all disgusting. She is more into girls, who she thinks are a lot sweeter and "delightful". She also does not like being taken for a fool, and any ugly thing. That's why she is so careful of her appearance. Agita is particular. She doesn't like sweetness because it doesn't provide any excitment, it doesn't trigger anything in her. And she totally likes men's bitterness. She is strong, and likes strength, but even though she's "hot", she hates heat. The both of them do not like arguing with each other, and they try to always agree on everything and make compromises. Akita also likes snow a lot, though she is not very fond of cold, and Agita loves cold and ice.
7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad? Basically, all her good traits are Akita's, and her bad traits are Agita's. She has a kind heart, is very peaceful, knows a lot of things, is very cheerful (something that came with Agita's manifestation, somehow), and doesn't need to sleep anymore, though her body still needs rest. But she is also violent, selfish to some extent, has a strong killing intent, and mostly looks for excitment through sin. And there's also their care for appearances. Akita cares a lot about what she looks like, which could be a good thing in a way if she was interested in men. But that narcissism is also what keeps her alive, because Agita doesn't take care of her body. She could dive into fire to get what she wants, even if her skin had to melt in the process, because she relies on Akita to fix it up. She cares about her appearance in the sense that she wants to look terrific, display her power through her looks.
8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character? She is a Waterbender and healer, very skilled in both as well. Most of the time, Akita heals and Agita fights, although they know a few tricks of each other's skills, but what is very interesting is that they can call upon each other's power (which are separated due to their two existences) by opening the covered eye that usually remains shut. Akita explains it as the fact that whatever she knows, Agita should know too, and vice-versa, but since they put restrictions on each other through their eyes, they must do so. They learnt everything they know on their own and through the combination of various trainings.
9. What or who is important to your character and why? Nobody is important to them other than themselves and each other's well being, although we could say that it makes beauty and sweetness important to Akita, whereas her own version of fun and excitment are important to Agita.
10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why? One could say they fear nothing, because whatever one fears, the other doesn't. But Agita is above all afraid of heat. It is unclear what she is exactly, as Akita's parents believed she was a demon of ice, and she says it herself, though Akita only thinks of her as her own sister. But it is sure that she looms in cold, and she does not like heat, though that does not make her afraid of fire. On the other hand, Akita kind of likes heat, because she was born in Kyoshi Island where the weather is quite warm. Her greatest fear is to feel lonely again. She knows that Agita is far from perfect, but she is the one that makes her feel beautiful and alive. Her second greatest fear is losing her beauty. She could become even more cruel than Agita if she ever lost it.
11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why? Their goal is to live, basically. They know how much the war is tearing apart people's lives, making them unhappy, trapping them in a horrible turmoil. They want to escape that, be independent, think only of themselves, keep living in whatever way they want to, despite their issues. However, Agita's definition of their goal could be "to consume", and Akita's definition could be "to create" or "to provide" (for herself).

Questions:
1. What is your character's name?
Hinh Thoi (it means diamond). Her birth name is Hinh, and she has no family name, Thoi came along when she became adult.
2. Where is your character from? Hinh was born in the Middle Ring of Ba Sing Se. But the place that comes the closest to a "home" is the Western Earth Temple where she grew up.
3. What is your character's age? She's 44 years old.
4. What does your character look like? Hinh is very particular. She's 5 foot 6 inches tall, she's rather slim but has strong limbs that make her resistant, her eyes are pale green, which makes them look like diamonds, her hair are shiny brown and the tips are joined sticking out like crystal shards, which make it look like she bears a crystal helmet on her head, her skin is also pale, and an interesting trait about it is that even though she's been into a lot of fights, after her wounds were healed, they left no mark, no scar, like her skin isn't made of human skin. But she has a tattoo representing the Seirei Templar Order emblem (the symbol of Earth with an Earth Kingdom coin inside) located just below her heart. Being this age, she has all the grown featured of a mature woman, but she hides them with the wide clothes that her priestess outfit is. It is comprised of a long yellow robe with two vertical green stripes on the sides and the bottom of the robe split in four, along with a long green shawl that goes down to her knees, plus a belt that shows the Templar emblem on the front, and many small Earth Kingdom coins sewed around it, where she stores all her small items (mainly her purse and crystal medium). She possesses lots of jewels, all made of crystalloid stones, like gem rings and earrings, a crystal bracelet and a diamond necklace (she made them all herself). But the bracelet and necklace can't be seen under her sleeve and shawl, and she only puts her rings on when she must do exorcisms (which is rarely). On her right forearm, under her sleeve, she hides her weapon, a long hilted knife that she can transform into a spear, made of diamond. Although she is not "pretty" looking, one could say she has the beauty of a piece of art (a lover wouldn't fall for her, but an artist might).
5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far. Hinh was born in a kind of museum in the Middle Ring of Ba Sing Se, surrounded by glowing crystals. The first thing she saw in this world was a big diamond, and the scene was carved into her mind, making her totally obsessed with diamonds and other crystals all her life. Her parents had offered her a glowing crystal so that she could know her way around in darkness, and that soon led her to discover her Earthbending powers. They didn't try to train her, because they already had another plan in mind for that. Instead they began teaching her about spiritual things, the two worlds, the history of the Earth Kingdom, even though she was too young to totally understand. That was all a prelude to the following of her life. When she was five years old, and her bending had developed enough, her parents decided she had spent enough years with them, and it was time to send her to an Earth Temple.

Before she went, they told her about their own past, as they too had grown up in temples, to become priests. And when they turned 20, they decided to act as knights - priests who become part of the military to serve the Seirei - and both decided to be established in Ba Sing Se, because it was the Earth Kingdom's biggest stronghold, and the holy place where the very first temple had been created millenia ago, but then destroyed, long before the construction of Ba Sing Se. And they wanted their only child to become a priest as they did. The young Hinh felt proud of that, and agreed to go to the temple, where she began learning all kinds of things, whatever would make her superior to malevolent spirits and help people. Good for her, she also developed new abilities in Earthbending, as she only knew crystalbending up till then. But she even pushed her crystalbending to the point that she was able to manipulate the tiny crystalloid parts in the ground at will. She was entirely dedicated to the Seirei, which kind of caused her to lose her humanity, in the sense that she took a path of loneliness. She was abandoning her emotions in order to grow powerful, even though she didn't mean to, and to get closer to the Seirei.

When she turned 20 and was finally able to reach spiritual enlightenment, she became a priest, which meant she was becoming more independent from now on. She created her own spiritual media (which are a crystal item shaped like the Templar emblem, an extendable diamond spear, and other jewels), and made up a technique that allowed her to make crystal materials remember a precise shape (she could make a tablet with text written on it fold into a shard of equivalent mass). She was excelling in Templar arts, which are unique to Templars only, and so the head of the Temple decided to make her his right hand, his most trustworthy subordinate. She took part in the Order's attack on Ba Sing Se, although they were driven off by the Dai-Li and never achieved what they thought the Seirei wanted. She was only obeying orders, thinking that the Templar Heads were doing the right thing, following the Spirits' wishes. But when they failed, she felt betrayed. Moreover, the temple she had been living in ever since she joined was destroyed. Those events created a void inside of her, one that was meant to be for her to truly serve the Seirei. And ever since, the Order acted in secrecy. All knights were no more, they either turned to regular priests, or became regular soldiers. Exorcism duties almost disappeared, because during this war, the madness of men outweighed whatever madness could be instilled by evil spirits. And against that, priests couldn't do anything but spread the faith.

Having no more home, and trying not to give into despair, Hinh tried returning to Ba Sing Se, but the society had changed in twenty years, and she was not able to make it past the Inner Wall. The Dai-Li found out she had taken part in the attempted coup from the Order, and she was forced to fight them. She even tried getting help from her parents or from former knights that she knew of, but none lent her a hand. She was forced to leave the city in shame. And her loneliness became even bigger. She had taken the path herself, but now it was swallowing her. With no other goal now than serving the spirits, she began wandering around the Earth Kingdom for a few years, looking to help the lost souls of the war. She discovered that during these years of war, many other temples had been destroyed, leaving the future of the order uncertain, the same way that the future of the world was becoming uncertain with the war. So she decided to look for a new source of spiritual power, anything that could bring salvation to the world. Because that was all that mattered to her. The soul prevails over the body.
6. What does your character like? Dislike? Hinh has lost all kinds of tastes. She doesn't really like or dislike anything, but can tell good from bad. Thus we could say she doesn't like whatever is bad. For example, she doesn't like anything that can get people hurt. Not really because of the fact that they get hurt, but because whenever someone is hurt, she feels they're going to lose their soul. That's why, in a way, she hates pain. And this might also be the reason she tries not to commit. Relationships can bring pain, and caring for someone, for something, having likes and dislikes, sometimes it hurts, as she found out. Not only her, but other people around her. And this is something that she doesn't like, per say. However, even if she doesn't consider this to count as something she likes, she loves crystals and gemstones, is obsessed with them.
7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad? Hinh is very reliable and trustworthy, but she doesn't like relationships, because she doesn't want to get close to anyone. She can read people's behaviors like they're the reflection of their souls, and sometimes her mind mimics the behavior to try and find out what they're thinking, but she has no control over that and tries to avoid doing it. She has felt betrayed many times, and this way, of acting like a diamond that reflects light, is her defense against the source of betrayal: trust. Since she rarely wants to attract attention, she is always very polite (one thing that she learned at the temple). And she has a well developed sense of insight, because it was the chakra that she spent most time on. Her only bad trait might be that she has a look that makes people feel like she's peeping inside of them.
8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character? Hinh is a master Earthbender. She learned all her skills in the Northern Earth Temple, and also invented a few tricks herself, which took her years to perfect. But the level of fighting skills she possesses can only be found among the Order, because Templar arts are totally different from regular martial arts. And she is probably the best crystalbender among the priests.
9. What or who is important to your character and why? Nothing is really important to Hinh. She is not someone who cares a lot, although she tries to help whenever she can, since that's what her kind is supposed to do. It's more or less what she signed up for. The Seirei are important to her, and she believes that the soul prevails over anything material.
10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why? Hinh is afraid of hell. Her religion has no real definition of hell, but she knows it kind of exists, as when humans die, their souls either go to the Spirit World, or stay in the Mortal World to achieve what they were meant to do. Priests can help those ghosts to a certain extent, but a lost soul can't be helped once the person is dead. And she only knows that lost souls become evil spirits after a certain time spent in what she believes to be Hell, in the Spirit World. That's why she is afraid of Hell, though she's not afraid of evil spirits.
11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why? She seeks a way to make things normal again, and somehow shut down Hell. Figuring out a way to do so takes a lifetime, and is way over humans' possibility, but the Avatar who founded the order believed there was a way, and so does Hinh.

Joychi - In Akita/Agita's I'd look at #7 again and see about trying to expand it a bit, and in Hinh's, I'd look at #6 for the same reason.

Okay, I tried to fix it, but I can't promise it is better. Though it is expanded.

Character Development Questions:
1. What is your character's name?: Shtiya.

2. Where is your character from?: The North Pole.

3. What is your character's age?: 19

4. What does your character look like?: Shtiya is short and petite, with a very feminine appearance despite the fact that he is a boy. He has refined bone structure and the thin stature of a person who probably ought to eat a little more. He has the dark skin of all Water Tribe people. His blue eyes are framed with long lashes, furthering his androgyny, and he wears his hair tied back in a mostly-neat tail. There are a few thin and beaded dreadlocks scattered throughout his hair, but for the most part, he keeps his appearance quite simple. He is muscled enough that it is obvious he does his fair share of manual labour, but it is also obvious he has not worked specifically on his musculature, nor is he proficient with weapons. On both arms beneath white wraps are scars from a suicide attempt at age thirteen. He does not like to acknowledge their existence or talk about them, therefore he keeps his forearms wrapped in a neat, spiralling fashion with white cloth at all times. He wears typical blue Water Tribe garb, though if he is travelling in warm areas, he will forego the anorak and wear the sleeveless tunic for warmer weather. The white wrappings on the arms, however, are hardly ever absent. He wears knee-high boots always, and keeps all of his clothing in a state of neat repair. He tends to carry a pouch with whatever healing herbs he can find with him at all times — and he'll spend time in any locale trying to identify and harvest anything he could possibly use, so it is stuffed at varying times with varying plants.

5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far.:
Shtiya was born to Atka and Buniq on the shortest day of the year, the second son of three. From birth he was a quiet child, crying only when sick and easily placated. Buniq became pregnant very quickly after Shtiya was born, and she died having his younger brother, Nakaka. The three boys were raised by their father alone for what seems like their entire lives. Only Nauja, the oldest, has any memories of Buniq, and even those are faded and almost lost. Atka did the best he could with his boys, trying to raise them to be strong, brave, hardy, and selfless. He wanted to instill them with honour and passion from an early age. Nauja and Nakaka excelled at military and martial arts, growing up as their father's sons with no trouble at all. Shtiya, on the other hand, was much more like his mother. He was more compassionate than passionate, more humble than honourable, more giving than taking.

Ever since he began to learn speech, Shtiya has stammered. Shtiya's stutter manifests itself in both repetition and prolongation (or stretching) — which is to say sometimes a sound is repeated, like "b-b-b-ball", sometimes a syllable is repeated, as in "mo-mo-mother", or sometimes sounds or syllables are prolonged, like "m---aybe" or "r-—-abbit". He also presents with longer intervals between words, or hesitations in speech. The stutter is still evident when he is tired or emotionally overwrought, or when speaking to someone for whom he feels sexual attraction. It is accompanied by physical tics, such as breaking eye contact or turning of the head, both of which are common in those who stutter. His father worked laboriously with him to get rid of the stutter, and while he does not often present with repetition in regular speech, he still speaks with hesitations and tense pauses.

His childhood was mostly uneventful, barring the typical teasing, until the age of thirteen, when his differences with his father blossomed into the forefront of his existence. It started really with his friend Toki. The two of them had obviously known each other their entire lives — it worked that way, taking classes the way the benders do. In fact, Toki was one of the only friends Shtiya had ever really had for any amount of time. The other boy was tall and good with weapons and bending — he was the perfect example of everything Shtiya's father wanted him to be. He was also devastatingly handsome; everyone noticed it, including Shtiya. He was lucky that they were such good friends, because he could talk with Toki most of the time without stuttering. The first kiss was a complete accident, really. They'd been ice-fishing and Shtiya felt uncharacteristically bold: he just went for it. It turned out Toki didn't mind at all. The two of them, for the next few days, spent time together in secluded areas and talked about whatever two young people talk about when they're finding out how they feel about each other. Unfortunately, Shtiya's father happened upon them not five days into their budding romance. They were outside, behind the house, saying goodnight. Lean in, simple kiss, and out walked Shtiya's father. He was livid. He dragged his son back inside and, after a few well-chosen backhanded slaps, informed him that Real Men did not engage in that kind of behaviour. He'd not have his son skulking around behind his house with some other boy, oh no — indecent, unnatural, and not in his family. Shtiya was informed in no uncertain terms that there would be no hint of this kind of thing again, lest he find himself homeless. His father apologized for hitting him the next day, and nothing like that ever happened again, but it was clear that the threat of homelessness remained.

It's not coincidence that a few months later, a few months during which he barely spoke at all, he took his knife to his arms in a foolish and desperate attempt to leave it all behind. Naturally, it didn't work. It may even have backfired on him, causing more strife and friction with his already over-burdened father, but Shtiya never mentions his father in a less than glowing light. His father, he will always be the first to say, is a good man, and a warrior. He takes care of his sons the best his can. The burden of their failed relationship falls entirely on Shtiya's shoulders, and he knows it. The refusal of the engagement was the last straw. Atka worked very hard to arrange suitable marriages for all his sons, and Shtiya's avoidance of the topic and later outright refusal to comply with his father's wishes cemented the split between them. Atka and Shtiya no longer speak to each other; though they may live in the same home at times, there is a cold distance that passes between them.

Following the attempt at suicide, Shtiya's outlook is much more bright than dark. He looks at that time as a learning experience, and took from it the lesson of being true to yourself even if it doesn't do you any favours. He came out of that experience wanting to see the world, wanting to help others, and most of all, wanting to help himself. He's worked very hard to master the healing aspects of Waterbending, and he's devoured as much knowledge as possible in the North Pole about herbal medicine. As he grew older, he wanted to leave the Tribe to see what he could learn about healing from other peoples and return with that knowledge. His travels are sort of aimless, the main goal simply being: learn whatever you can, wherever you can. Make use of it.

6. What does your character like? Dislike?: Shtiya likes plants, animals, children, and having warm feet. He is the kind of person who values emotional connection, but finds it hard to come by. He likes learning new things and discovering new uses for plants. He is interested in agriculture and the inventions of other people. He likes folk traditions and tales as well, finding other cultures fascinating. He also truly enjoys music, collecting folk songs from wherever he manages to hear them, be it from travellers or from being a traveller himself. He values intelligence, learning, knowledge.

He dislikes being made fun of for his stutter. He also strongly dislikes his stutter — in fact, his feels about it border on extreme self-hatred at times, because of his inability to eradicate it completely from his speech. He dislikes being questioned about his arms, or his life, or anything personal. He dislikes being touched by people he does not know well, as well as people whose thought patterns make no sense to him. He does not like glaringly bright sunshine on his face, nor does he appreciate being asked to explain himself when he thinks his actions or words were completely obvious. His greatest dislike is probably being talked to like he is less intelligent, or being mistaken for having a lower intellect.

7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad?: Very compassionate, Shtiya will always give of himself to help others. Of course, this trait is both good and bad — he does not think before acting when it comes to helping others, and he does not always question the price before comitting to it. He is, however, very loving and his warm-heartedness tends to wear off on people. He feels things very deeply; the personal troubles of others often cause him emotional pain as well. He is quick to "walk a mile in another's shoes" and will be the first to suggest trying another point of view — even if, sometimes, he just Doesn't Get the other point of view he's trying to see.

Shtiya lacks confidence in himself. He has to be pushed into doing things some times, and does not often take the initiative unless it is directly related to healing. He is also prone to trying to do everything himself, and does not ask for help even if he knows he is out of his league. It is also very easy to take advantage of him, because he is naive about the bad in people.

8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character?: His Bending ability was discovered when he healed a cut on his own hand after some carelessness involving his father's knife. Nauja tried to teach him what he knew, and Shtiya attended classes for a time with the other boys of the town, though he never cared much for battle Waterbending skills and hardly ever won a fight. He peeked in on the women's class one day, and their teacher invited him to sit in. He showed promise with waterbending for healing, and when he requested those classes instead, the teacher backed his request. Grudgingly, Atka agreed, but only because the teacher exaggerated a bit when it came to Shtiya's natural abilities. From that time on, he took classes with the girls instead of the boys, and did not spend much time practicing any fighting moves at all.

His mastery of the defensive arts of Waterbending comes only from being picked on by other boys, be it for his stutter or for the fact that he took classes with the girls. Shtiya's father worked diligently with him on his speech, trying to rid him of the impediment. In the end, Shtiya came out mostly stutter-free, unless he is startled, emotional, or very tired. The stutter causes him a great deal of vexation and when he stutters, he gets a very frustrated look on his face while forcing words out. Regardless of his hard work, his early reputation for not being able to "talk right" has stuck with him, and he learned to defend himself from the other boys. As they learned more advanced fighting moves, he learned (albeit slowly), to defend himself in a more efficient manner. This mostly consists of pushing things aside or blocking them, as he is not comfortable with sending anything "at" another person.

9. What or who is important to your character and why?: His family is important to Shtiya, in an abstract way. Their differences make his feelings about them complicated — he loves his father, and his brothers, but he doesn't feel very close to them. Pleasing them is important to him, as is earning their respect.

Knowledge and learning are also important to him. Shtiya will go out of his way and spend long hours in the path to knowledge, and he considers the loss of it one of the worst losses possible. Health is obviously important to him as well — for if, as the adage goes, you haven't got your health, what have you got? His motives are pretty simple, as are the things that are important to him.

10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why?: Shtiya is afraid of his father — to be more accurate, he is afraid that his father does not, will not, and never did love him. He fears disappointing those who count on him. He also fears eels, for absolutely no reason at all except that they are vaguely snakelike and he has nightmares about being drowned by them.

His greatest fear, however, is failure. He fears failing at anything he tries to do, up to and including communicating with people. Ultimately, Shtiya fears failing at the one thing he is good at: healing. He fears killing a person he is trying to help, and this sometimes makes him err too much on the side of caution.

11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why?: His goal in life is to become the most skilled Healer possible. He hopes to combine herbal medicine with bending, and also to bring herbalism to his own people in the North. Devising a way to grow the herbs in their climate is at the top of his list of goals in life, as is finally making his father proud of him.

(I hope this is passable. I'm another person who hates bio-sheets; I like to develop while playing.)

Questions:

1. What is your character's name?
Yuna Ayane

2. Where is your character from? Ba Sing Se; Middle Ring

3. What is your character's age? Seventeen

4. What does your character look like? In appearance and perhaps even in character, Yuna Ayane is very much a heterogeneous being granted that her genetic make-up consists of three nations: Earth, Water and Fire. From her father, Yuna has inherited crystal blue eyes that in hue closely resemble the color light blue. She also inherited long, voluminous hair which cascades down her spine and rest in the distance between the small of her back and the end of her hip bone. Yuna’s hair is about as soft as rabbits fur and its color, taken from her mother’s end of the gene pool, resembles an unburned coal. Her slightly angled jaw, round chin and full, tannish-pink lips are also traits derived from her mother’s Fire Nation roots. As far as height and weight go, Yuna would consider herself average for her age and although her features are soft and delicate, Yuna can not hide her slim, toned figure from clothes that almost always accentuate her body, especially her chest and toned thighs. Her mother’s strict diet and her father’s secret waterbending lessons have allowed Yuna to remain in shape, but no amount of training can fix Yuna’s klutzy nature. Over the years Yuna has accumulated tiny scars on her lightly tanned skin that aren't exactly horrible, but they are noticeable. However, they are usually hidden beneath her apparel which consists of silk dresses, tunics and skirts. She adores wearing layers in public while at home she finds pleasure in slipping into her robes which are decorated in reds, browns and greens. Yuna also wears her grandmother’s engagement necklace that she stole from her father’s study. The carving of a koi on the necklace allows Yuna to feel closer to the sea that she has not yet encountered. All in all Yuna is considered a fortunate person when it comes to looks.

5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far. Yuna Ayane was born to Akio Ayane of the Northern Water Tribe and Sora Mitsu of the Fire Nation/Earth Kingdom. For reasons still unknown to Yuna her father at a young age, perhaps eighteen, was kicked out of house and home and sent away on a large vessel to the impenetrable city of Ba Sing Se. Akio never once returned to the tribe for fear of dislodging the terms set up in a bet that he obviously lost. Before his arrival in Ba Sing Se, Akio use to be a fisherman and his added bending abilities aided him in catching a sufficient amount of fish a week in order to keep his family’s head above water. Akio loved his life and his tribe, but he couldn’t have known that his foolish actions would lead to his unfavorable departure.

As a child Yuna was incredibly intelligent, quiet and respectful especially of her elders. In some ways Yuna was her mother’s personal servant and although Yuna tried extremely hard to please her mother everything she did went unnoticed and nothing was ever good enough. Yuna’s parents were pretty much absent in her life what with her mother and uncles taking care of the family business and her father always off on some grand adventure in the city well, you could say that Yuna got use to the idea of always being alone. This in turn forced her to turn inward and it kept her away from many things that a normal child would experience, like playing outside with friends or simply going to get a bite to eat. Yuna was in no way shape or form a social butterfly and after a couple of years of schooling, her peers got the idea that she enjoyed being left alone when in actuality her loneliness was a quite plea for help.

Deprived of attention, Yuna found herself taking part in classes that could allow her to express herself without being heard, like dancing and painting. One night after her ritual of eating dinner alone, Yuna retired to her bedroom and discovered while taking a bath that she was a waterbender. The discovery pleased her so much that she spent the entire night in her tub and only regained consciousness when her mother, the next morning, rudely shook her awake for school. Of course Yuna decided to tell no one of her discovery and instead practiced her bending at night. For a couple of years her life remained pretty much the same until she witnessed her father sneaking away from their house. She followed him as closely as she could and soon enough she discovered what had kept him so busy all these years.

Her name was Tami Hisano and she was Akio’s mistress. Even though Yuna condoned her father for his promiscuous nature, she couldn’t find fault in her heart for she knew that Sora held the upper hand in their relationship and for personal reasons Yuna also knew that her mother possessed the personality of a prude. The following night marked a turning point in Yuna’s young life because for the first time ever she had built up enough courage to confront her father and in addition to that, she met a wonderful woman who would uncover for her a life filled with love and compassion.

Now seventeen years old, Yuna balances herself between her life with her mother, Sora and that of her father’s mistress, Tami. Tami is expecting a child in a couple of weeks, so Yuna’s studies have slackened due to the anxiousness of her step-sibling’s arrival. Yuna’s secret hope is to one day travel to the Northern Water Tribe and perhaps even the Fire Nation in order to get in touch with her roots seeing as how her parents openly refuse to teach her anything, especially anything dealing with culture. As of right now Yuna keeps her sights set on the future and she does what she can to survive the present and escape her mother’s malicious nature.

6. What does your character like? Dislike? Yuna likes most things that deal with art. Her two most favorite hobbies are painting and dancing. Although she adores both activities, her mind seems to favor painting over dancing seeing as how Yuna’s clumsiness works against her while she dances. In addition, Yuna absolutely loves to memorize, whether it be a riddle or a certain puzzle, she can’t help but become obsessed over the way her mind stores information. She once recited a poem from beginning to end only having looked at it two times. She can’t understand it but once her brain starts to buzz she knows that she must present it with a challenge. She is also a lover of music, jasmine tea and her waterbending.

Yuna really dislikes one thing and the one thing is: being an outcast. Living in a household and learning in a school where people take no notice of her, Yuna finds herself doubting her abilities and worrying over the little things in life. She does all she can to be accepted, but nothing ever works. Yuna has also realized that she dislikes deception and secrets, things that take a huge toll on her life. She also dislikes her family and her inability to travel. She wants nothing more than to just escape and travel the globe aimlessly with nothing on her mind except the sound of waves beneath her feet and the salty smell of the sea.

7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad? Yuna’s generosity and thoughtfulness are by far the best traits that she posses however, they are rarely ever seen or noticed by those in her vicinity. Even though they are the best of her good traits that doesn’t mean that they are her only ones. Yuna has a high sense of respect to almost everyone she meets and although obedience sounds bad, Yuna believes that staying in line is a good thing. Some day Yuna will become passionate in whatever she chooses to do and when that day comes she will be alright since she believes firmly in the idea that once you start something you must finish it. This learned mindset helps her get through even the toughest days in a orderly fashion.

Yuna’s short fuse, inability to express herself through words and distance from others take up a majority of her bad traits. In addition to those traits she has become a very doubtful and worrisome person, all thanks to her mother, and no matter how hard she tries to fix herself she knows subconsciously that nothing will ever be okay unless she has someone to help her through her darkest days. Yuna is very critical of herself and her delicate personality may get to her at times, but she does try really hard to not be so emotional. Unfortunately, she almost always is and wishes she wasn’t, but there really isn’t anything she can do besides probably making a friend which is an obstacle all on its own.

8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character? At the age of ten, Yuna discovered that she was a waterbender when she manipulated the water in her washtub. For the next couple of years she tried to train herself but became very unsuccessful in her attempt. It wasn’t until Yuna gained the leverage of her father’s secret that she was able to reason with him and in return for her silence, he gave her private lessons under the safe cover of night. Since then her bending has increased however, her form, defense and endurance could use a little more work. Having trained for seven consecutive years, Yuna is beyond the novice stage, but she has a lot to learn before she can call herself intermediate.

9. What or who is important to your character and why? Tami is perhaps the only important person in Yuna’s life. Were it not for her compassionate and bubbly demeanor, Yuna fears that she could have easily become her mother’s twin. Tami adores Yuna and although Yuna dislikes her father, Tami doesn’t allow that to get in the way of their relationship. She treats Yuna as if she were one of her own and Yuna does all she can for her “step-mother”. If Yuna could have anything in the world it would be one wish and that wish would be to turn Tami into her actual mother cause than maybe her life would turn from grim to happy.

10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why? Yuna is afraid of turning into her mother, Sora. She does not want to become the woman she hates and she especially does not wish to inflict pain on others as Sora has done to her. Yuna is equally afraid of her mother’s sudden outbursts because each of them almost always turn into a punishment for Yuna or Akio. Another one of Yuna’s greatest fears is that she will remain an outcast forever. She wants desperately to make friends or to meet someone who will care about her well being. It’s a hard thing always being alone, so it’s obvious why Yuna fears it so much.

11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why? Her goal is to escape, to travel the world and to meet new people. It’s time the hermit crab left her shell for a bigger one. She hopes to become a teacher or perhaps even a painter, something that will fill her life with joy is good enough for her. She hopes to one day look back on her life and marvel at the good fortune of her future, present situation. She aspires to have a family, but that is way off in the distance, maybe once she’s done with her travels. For the time being her goals only feel like distant fantasies, but she hopes to one day turn them into realities.

Questions:
1. What is your character's name?

Himoto Takeshi, though she will answer to either of those names.

2. Where is your character from?
Himoto's origins are unclear, other than that she is from the Earth Kingdom. She grew up mostly on the streets, and wandered from town to town. It is unclear where exactly she started her journeys though.

3. What is your character's age?
Himoto is often thought to be between 19 and 21, which is close enough, as she is 20.

4. What does your character look like?
chonty image
Himoto is an earthbender who is usually clad in green. She wears a large Dai Li-esque hat that usually covers her eyes, and her clothes are all green as well. She wears light shoes that are easy to travel in [and easy to remove], and baggy pants. her shirt is long-sleeved, and it neither tight nor loose, and she wears a thick belt with a massive Earth Kingdom emblem on it as the buckle. Himoto herself is rather thin and small, but she is deceptively strong. she looks weak, but can hold her ground in a fight with the average person. Himoto's hair is light brown, and she has long bangs that hang into her face, and the rest of her hair hangs past her shoulders. she has brilliant emerald green eyes, pale skin, and a prominent face. With the clothes she wears, the only parts of her body that are typically visible are her hands and the lower half of her head [from her hat]. Himoto is reasonably attractive, but not by any means a head-turner.

5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far.
It is unknown whether or not Himoto's parents are alive or not, or even who they are, owing to Himoto's origins. No one is entirely sure where Himoto came from, but she grew up in the streets of various towns. She was raised by a family with the surname Takeshi, which was where she got it, but around the age of 9 or 10, she took to the streets. She would work for people in exchange for food, shelter, or money, and she is a good, hard worker. She also participated in bending tournaments, where, as an intermediate-level bender, she won some matches and lost others. Her reputation throughout the Earth kingdom is pretty good, mostly because they know Himoto can be replied on to finish a task that she is assigned, and that it will be done to the best of Himoto's ability. Despite her good work ethic, Himoto has a certain selfish attitude that implies that she does not do anything unless she feels like it, or if she gets paid for it. Granted, she does her work well, but she has very little or no motivation to help people unless she feels like it or if she gets paid to do so. Because Himoto's parents are unknown, as well as her family, her exact history is unclear, as there was no one to keep records of Himoto Takeshi. Because of the many fights Himoto has gotten in, and some severe injuries she has taken from some of them, Himoto's eyesight is rather poor. As a result, she has great difficulty reading and writing, or seeing things clearly. She does not have "vibration vision" to make up for it like Toph does, [and furthermore, Himoto is not blind--she just has poor eyesight] but because of her failing vision, Himoto has honed her other senses, and especially her reflexes. She has lived off the land before, and with her swift reflexes, she has sometimes swiped birds off of tree branches or fish of all kinds, right out of rivers. Himoto's location is always unpredictable, as she has business everywhere.

6. What does your character like? Dislike?
Himoto enjoys a job well done, as well as leisurely activities, such as spars, brawls, fistfights, and other physical activities. She actually generally is game for anything, as long as she sees it as entertaining or rewarding. She dislikes people who worry too much, or caring in general.

7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad?
Himoto is laid-back and generally friendly, and is a hard-worker. She is easy to get along with, unless you are wanting sympathy. Himoto tends to be indifferent towards people's concerns and emotions, unless she sees some kind of reward for acting otherwise. She sometimes pretends she cares, and does a pretty good job, but the only real sincerity Himoto has is in her work ethic. However, her laid-back and easy-going personality renders her for the most part friendly.

8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character?
Himoto is an earthbender, and she is at a high-intermediate early-advanced level, and has won her fair share of battles, as well as lost her share. Though she has won more than she has lost, she generally does not boast about it. She taught herself some of her moves, and learned others from the people she's worked for, and so she has a wide variety of interesting and unusual moves too.

9. What or who is important to your character and why?
There is nothing or no one that is terribly close to Himoto, but finishing a job is something that she considers very important, because of the way she grew up. She was not taught to work hard, she just found it rewarding, and so she remained committed to always doing a good job. If anything, it might be an OCD, but well-done jobs also tend to be more rewarding, and rewards are always a motivating factor for Himoto, and so this helped her keep a good work ethic.

10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why?
Himoto is skilled at hiding her fears, and it is unclear what she is afraid of, exactly. She seems to be indifferent of pain or capture, but at the same time, it is very likely that she just masks this exceptionally well, and that her real fears are being stopped, confined or disabled. These are her real fears, as she enjoys freedom, and holds the motto "Live Free or Die" very close to her heart.

11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why?
Himoto is laid back and easy-going, and her goals in life just seem to be live to the next day and continue to do whatever it is she does. She does not have any long-term goals of any kind, as her personality is more of the "here and now" type, with the main "thinking ahead" being something along the lines of "after I do this job, I get paid."

Hey there. :)

#6 could use some work, but it seems to fit her character well enough.
#9 - Why does the way she grew up affect that?
#10/11 - Everyone else doesn't have to know, but you should. These are vague.

I would say the same about 12, but 12 and 13 weren't on the list, so please remove them. :) Thanks.

fixed most of them. 13 came from a habit I developed on another site, and 12 came from a similar series of warnings that I think I once saw on this site, and because that sort of thing sometimes disturbs some people...

10 and 11 were relatively difficult because of Himoto's personality. She just tends to be indifferent, and lives a very carefree life.

9--fixed. it was mostly just something she taught herself to believe.

and #4--got an image.

Questions:
1. What is your character's name?
Hanabi Araka Xiti
2. Where is your character from? Hanabi was born in the Fire Nation, but spent most of her life since she was a child traveling.
3. What is your character's age? Hanabi now is closer to 16 her exact age is hard to guess.
4. What does your character look like? Hanabi is an extremely muscular girl who spent most of her time in various forms of physical training and bending disciplines. Her hands and feet have the noticeable callouses of an accomplished climber. Her eyes are mismatched. Her left eye is orange with the color close to that of an evening sunset. Her other however is whited out with a black scar going through it. The eye is damaged and doesn't handle bright light very well, much like the retina cannot contract away from 'night mode'.
5. Give a detailed history of your character. Who are your parents? Are they alive? If not, what happened? Tell us what happened to character in their life so far. ((First Person History.)) My fathers' are Zhifu and Goh'Zhan, twin brothers who have hated each other for the major part of my life, its hard to explain but when you are raised by both your entire life, and they both love you with there entire hearts calling you there daughter, that tends to make them both my father, even if Goh'Zhan is by blood my Uncle.
I will start at the beginning to eliminate confusion.
I was raised by my father Zhifu out on a farmland in the Beautiful South of the Fire Nation until his brother; Goh'Zhan Kidnapped me at the age of five.

It had confused me because they where both twins, and differences I should have noticed I really did not. but that led onward to me being raised by Goh'Zhan as he fled south-wards through the Earth Kingdom sticking from port town to port town to avoid long term land fall.

He was a strict man and a harsh fighter, I had tried to escape him several times, but I never got far.

My father Zhifu had taught me the basic technique of his slow burning firebending technique, the Massive Fireball, but this man taught me how to fight, how to life and how to carry on my way when even in massive pain.

His lessons where cruel, bizarre and some would consider them despicable, especially when it came to forcing me who had started into his training at the age of five to learn to enjoy pain, to embrace it. "Embrace the pain, if you still feel it then you are alive." I think is the saying he told me to hold to as he had burned shut most of the wounds I ever got, including getting my hand totally pierced through.

Life had continued on in that fashion, me training every day to climb and scale up the mountain that was said to be imposable to climb. I never once gave up though, I even invented a technique holding heat in my hands that would allow me to get a better grip by burning anything away from a stone that would make me loose my grip, basically allowing me to rock climb even when rain was pouring, or water was washing over the sheer rocks, all I needed ever was some ledge to hold onto capable of holding my weight.

Eventually my father Zhifu had caught up, his ship coming in the distance, I was out of it from falling off the mountain and almost getting myself killed so I was out of it for the large leg of the journey away from there.

Goh'Zhan hated his brother Zhifu with a passion because of a Humiliating Defeat on himself while his brother kept climbing the ranks of the Fire Nation, he had thought Zhifu had stole his dream and had in the end been imprisoned for his complete failing of the tasks he was given, because they had been borderline treason it had gone so bad.

We soon arrived back at the Earth Kingdom where in the Desert Village (Now Ruins), they clashed while I slept, they must have fought for hours before they finally came close enough to wake me.

I remember this like it was yesterday, running out, seeing my blood father for the first time him turning to look at me and getting impaled on Goh'Zhan's blade. I had after holding my dieing father for a moment fled into the desert foolishly disowning Goh'Zhan as my father, if I had been calmer, if I had listened, maybe he would still be alive.

I had fled for what felt like a day until I was forced by dehydration to stop in a cave I had found. In there however I was attacked by a man, insane obviously reveling in the idea of ripping me apart while I was to weak to defend myself from him, we had fought for a short time. Now normally my training would have allowed me to utterly destroy this person, but dehydration has an amazing way of making one weak, he had stabbed me through my right hand, with a dagger and was pulling a poisoned sword with his other hand to impale me.

He had moved to stab me, but instead of me he had impaled Goh'Zhan who had managed to tail me had managed to move himself between me and him, getting himself stabbed but the sword was long and it still raked me across the right side of the face cutting into my cheek and nicking along my eye.

I don't remember much of what happened after that, the poison bringing on a slight delirium, but I do remember he was going to destroy himself by exploding all the fire in himself, and me grabbing the knife from my hand charging stabbing and killing whoever this madman was that had attacked me.

Most people can relate to loss, but not often do you loose two fathers in one day, I remember grabbing him, his last words which I will not write here as they are my Sacred Oath now, and passing out.

When I awoke I was in the care of an ex-bandit, the Sandbender known as the Dune Hunter, he helped me perform the burial of my fathers, and had offered me his aid.

I lived with this Sandbender for close to 4 years him training me on nothing but environmental survival, there was no love between us, he taught me, I learned. he never told me about his own past or asked about mine. One night he simply vanished leaving me on my own at 13 years of age. I had taken it as my cue to move on, fill out my oaths, and so I headed back to fill the first oath.

I had returned to the Mountain that Goh'Zhan had raised me, I had set aside my things and started my climb, all my training, my endurance, my firebending skill was required for the climb up the mountain, but in the end I had managed to do what even Goh'Zhan had not, and reached the temple at the top.

The Temple at the top was a temple of the Airbenders so vary long ago, now laid desolate and forgotten, people who had died there, never even buried.

I had found a body of an Airbender, bones like the rest, but he had kept a box of his possessions on himself, and in trade for burying his bones as best as I was able to, I was allowed to keep his trinkets, Airbending fascinates me, I have to find out more of these people, but there wasn't anything I could learn wandering the Abandoned temple, so I left.

Eventually I managed to find my way back to the Earth Kingdom and followed the news of the Fire Nation Northward, indeed buying goods from someone Hawking Wrist-worn Sundials, its where I got my current clothing.

I most recently arrived in a City once known as Omashu, now called New Ozai, after the current Great Fire Lord, I wonder where my life will lead me here.
6. What does your character like? Dislike? Hanabi likes fighting first and foremost. She was raised to fight she was trained in body and spirit to fight. It's the biggest thing she likes. She also like other forms of competitions. Games mostly. A good game can dissuade her from violence for a time and she generally has a good sense of sportsmanship. She hates a loser. Not a person who loses but a person who sets himself up to fail in all areas of his life. Self-Defeatists. To her they are parasites, insults to life. She has known pain and lost her entire family and partly wonders if it is her fault. By perspective a man being self defeatist over money or a bad date or teenage angst is insulting.
7. What are some good traits of your character? Bad? Hanabi is focused and determined. She approaches her training physically and mentally as a spiritual bond formed from her code of self belief. She however has a bad temper, is often times the one to start a fight. She is impatient in matters of people. She is egotistical believing in the superiority of herself, her training and her nation. However in her pride comes an honest strength and a desire to protect those loyal to her or sent under her care.
8. Does your character bend? What level of training is your character at? Who taught your character? Hanabi is one of the few people in the world raised solidly for combat. She is a Firebender of great skill. She is also a very strong close combatant. She was taught how to bend starting since before she started to remember life. And after she was kidnapped taught by her uncle till she was nearly fourteen.
Hanabi's style is The Quivering Flame Style. A power style that differs from most firebending in it's sacrifice of speed and grace for sheer power. Practitioners of this style train a fast, defensive and momentum based close combat style to close the weakness of the style's slow blows. For what it lacks in speed, grace or balance it makes up for in sheer power. It's fireballs are three times larger, it's fire blasts are noticeably hotter. And this style holds inside of it one of the most powerful firebending attacks in the entire world.
9. What or who is important to your character and why? To Hanabi struggle and the continued journey to learn is important. Struggle makes a person great. A person who has never struggled and had everything given to them is less of a man then the one who built his life from the ground up. It is a philosophy of hers that she follows, meditates on and practices. It fits well with her combat style that is centered around the ideas of sacrifice. She believes in a form of immortality through struggle. Holding to a code that guides her personal honor. "This world is born of Conflict. I am born of this World. In life I will struggle, For that is who I am. In death I will know peace, for that is who I am destined to become. Only in conflict can one find honor. Only in Honor can one find oneself. Only in oneself can one find perfection. Only by perfection can one achieve immortality. Only the Immortal may die and live forever. I live forever because I am in conflict. In conflict I am one with the world. I will live forever even after the day I die!" This code she carries in her heart at all times. The principles within it guiding a lot of her actions. A way of life, both spiritually and in daily activity.
10. What or who is your character afraid of and why? What is your character’s greatest fear and why? Hanabi doesn't fear for herself. But she fears disappointing her line. Her father was a great admiral before he died who commanded a massive amount of the fire nation. Her uncle while not as great as her father was a powerful bender and practitioner of fighting without peer. He himself was a general before his exile and her fathers rise. Hanabi's fear is to disappoint the line. To let her father and uncles teachings die off and the last of the Xiti line fading out of existence.
11. What is your character’s goal(s) in life and why? Hanabi's goal in life is to become the greatest master that her style has ever known, and to climb as high as she can in the Fire Nations Army. She wants to honor her father by at least making admiral in her lifetime and defending the Fire Nation. She then wants to start a school and teach her style to others once she herself has finished mastering it. So that after her death her line will be remembered as a great founder of an entire bending style. So that her lines honor will live forever in the name of history. And so that techniques that she alone carried for a time with strength would be taught throughout the lands so that her actions would be able to guide many generations after her death. Her ambitions are perhaps some of the largest of any in the lands. But a lot of her ambition is derived from loyalty to her nation and her spirituality.

You seem to have though her out pretty well, although the first person history confused me since I know that you had to write your profile in third, and most people simply copy and paste the information from their profile, and add in what's needed. I don't see anything that needs to be changed, though; as I said, you've thought her out pretty well.
