Yeah, im also almost annoyed by water benders lately. Katara's becoming a mary sue (good at everything) i mean shes caring, good mother, awesome bender, good looking, its getting kind of annoying. Im a a toss up between my two second favourite elements (fire being the first). Earth or Water, right now after watching the latest 2nd season episodes im leaning toward earth a little.

Katara DOES seem to be good at everything. too good too. but it's a kids show and they like have to make characters like that.

Yeah, sometimes i get frusterated with the fact its just a kids show, not a way of life like i've been treating it. Hopefully nikelodean won't screw it up. I think we will see some faults from katara, once the other characters start developing more. Maybe shes just a early bloomer, haha

lol. Hopefully. I think that because there isn't any main earthbending characters that many people forget about it. And because they see how perfect Katara is that they choose water.

Yeah she does make water look good, with fire bending being the bad guys it appeals to some people ( i myself don't like the element for that reason , just fire in general). I've seen that a lot of girls choose water because they like katara.

Katara is very Mary Sue-ish... But I like earth much better than water. All of my friends like water though... One of my friends likes air the most, but most of 'em like water. I don't see why.

Me neither, water is WAY overrated. I'd never be anything other than a firebender.

Ya DEFINATLY earth. It's both offenive and defencily, although mainly defencive. Or Air. It'd be fun to fly, but I think it just might be too defencilve for me.

Earth can be just as offensive as fire!!! You can bury people alive! With fire, you cna burn them and give them to the cannibals!

yes. Water is too bla. People make it too powerfull on the show. Then they overestimate it here on the site.

I think we're past the era of water, the chapter's over (thank god) now its time for the other elements to shine. Can't wait for the earthbending tourny!!! We'll probably see some awesome earthbending this friday.

I hate when people say fire has abosolutely no defensive moves, thats not true. It may not focus on defense, but it has some. Aside from blocking, walls of fire, shooting fire to deflect projectiles, smokescreens, or surrounding yourself in flame are all defensive moves and some inflict damage on your opponents aswell, a 2 in 1 combo.

As for earth, I love the fact that they can use quicksand, by far one of my favorite earth moves. I've also heard they can magnatize their limbs to earth or something.

Water- I think their new ability to bend plants is a little out their, but firebenders got lightning and blue fire so hey.

Air- nothing new, just dodge, tornado, air scooter, the basic aang moves.

And air people can fly. That i have to admit IS pretty cool, and helpful.

Yeah, I wanted to have a character that was an Airbender, but I couldn't come up with a good reason.

*shrug* I don't care for Airbenders Firebenders are better.
