Aliana has her point I mean Waterbending is great but just look at the water tribes they are still pretty primative even with their ability to use water, if they had other grounds then perhaps they would be a stronger nation.

Juat look at firebending the ability to manipulate fire gave them a huge advantage at reaching the age of severe metal work, begining of the industrial revolution fore them maybe.

Then again one could say that geology played a role in it.

This is coming from someone who's favorite element is water.

I agree with Shio. The Fire Nation has a major advantage, especialy because they can create their element unlike water and earthbenders.

Then again fire is the strangest element because it is a reaction.

Still waterbending according to the writers has the most powerful move of all the bending arts and that is the ability to control the opponent

Yes, to a certain extent, as far as we can tell. Remember the fight between Pakku and Katara? Yeah, it was shown in there...

No when Pakku dropped all of those icicles on Katara and she survived, unless Katara was extremely lucky Pakku controled her

Now we see waterbending contains the most powerful bending move

They DO have a greater number of people who seem to be benders. It seems that EVERY soldier in the firenation has bending skills, if not every citizan.

Alright, alright... this is interesting, but it's getting off topic... This is about what bender you would be. I partially contributed, and I apologize for that, but if you want to continue a discussion on why the Firebenders are winning the war against the other nations, then open a thread for that in the Show forum, please.
