ya I've had this idea 4 a while now. Waterbenders can controle the water in people's blood and kill them.

Firebenders can make volcano's erupt.

earthbenders can magnatize and crush other people's bones.

It's been confirmed that firebenders can make volcanos erupt, avatar roku, and the unknown cameo avatar in the avatar state. We've also seen kyoshi use magma, a mixture of earth and fire??

o woops ya only avatars can bend lava (magma) ya earth and fire mix.

Awesome, I personally think regular firebenders should be able too, but oh well.

Can airbenders... control sound?
In theory, they could vibrate the air and generate various sounds.... but, I doubt that would ever come up ^^;

if you want to get scientific about it, they could. But firebenders could regulate an opponents body heat and make them explode, a water bender could freeze blood, earthbenders can uh.. shove a rock down your throat, theres tons of possibiiities.

In anycase, now that you mention that, lots of anime use a bit of science to make their fight scenes more realistic.

ya know, water benders are pretty powerful, and theres one thing i think would be kinda cool, somewhere i heard they could, but i havent seem them do it yet, and that is:

since our bodies are mostly water right, maby waterbender's could manipulate people's bodies like marrionnettes and also since they can use water as a catalyst to redirect chi for healing, wouldnt it be plausable to think that if they could control there body using waterbending, they would be able to say, make a firebender bend fire/electricity. Since basically all they do is use their "chi" to fire-bend... tell me if im wrong to think so but i think its some thing to think about

Well in avatar the word "qi/chi/ki" is never mentioned. But considering the nature of the show that's what we can all assume ^^;.
Unless those times they mentioned spirit count... they might, the qi has been translated a bajilliondyfive diffrent ways... most of them anger me >.<

i love the way you made use of "bajilliondyfive" .. that was awsome, but i could have swore that somewhere in the avatar related world it was said that some form of "chi" was used in bending, if not, it would be reasonable for me to assume that since the bending diciplines were based on different forms of "tai chi"... lol
