That would have been me. ;D I like Firebending because of it's... flair. I mean, all the firebenders (the cool ones at least...) have such a flair, and I think the agression fits me. Oh, and that guy was King Bumi of the City of Omashu, and the episode is Episode 5: City of Omashu. ;D Yes, I'm obsessed it's ok. If I wasn't, I wouldn't be running this site, and that would be a bad thing, right?

I like airbending the most originally, because the range of motion and agility was really fun looking, but I'd prefer waterbending just because it can heal people. But that's me, the compassionate waterbender.

I see waterbending as far more... subtle than the others, Nasty potential. Can you say string of mysterious drownings, hypotherima cases, and newly mumified bodies? Let's take waterbending to the dark side and boom, an assasin who needs no blade, only a touch and a moment of concentration. Hee!

Yes. Good point. Still like Firebending best, though. But there was some awesome Waterbending by Katara in this last episode!

I think that Fire and Water are my favorites. I loved the fight scene in the last episode against Katara and Zuko. I also loved the fight between Master Paku and Katara. I thought that alot of Master Paku's moves were very fluid along with Katara's.

Yes, both of those fights were very cool. Let's face it, Katara rocks.

Earth bending is cool but theres alot of places where you cant bend earth like on water for instance there is ususally no Earth around unless your ship is coal powered

Yes, but it seems to me like Fire and Air are the two that you can do all the time, and Water and Earth are limited.

o__o; I like all of 'em. But, I have my reasons.
(In Order)
Earth and Water: These two are my favorite because you're not only moving stones and waters. Like Earth, you can move also mud/dirt, sand, etc. With water, you can just about bend anything that contains water. (example: alchocal, prefume, etc.)
Fire: I just love their fighting style the most since it's more fierce, and powerful then the other elements. Plus, it describes my personality from time to time. If I was a fire-bender..I'd probably wind up setting things on fire all the time.
Air: Air has to be one of my favorite-favorites expect Earth and Water...wouldn't you love the feeling of flying around in the air like Aang?

I love fire, I'm a pyro, I burn incense and other things....But my main reason is it I could throw and shoot fire, It would rule!! The feel of fire, the look, and the shape, Awsome! Firebenders Forever!!!!!

I agree. I just love the look of firebending, and everything. I still think it's my agressive nature at heart...

Brutes. Waterbending is a subtle art that requires alot of focus, but it will drown your world in the end. Who can fight the tide? I can easily imagien an alternate world where the Water Tribe grew corupt and took over the oceans... I mean where would the Earth and Fire Ntions be without their navies? *Earth nation ship goes out to sea, stumbles onto Water navy ship. get sunk...* All the benders are potentally evil.

I'll have to go with air bending or fire bending because with those it comes from you while if you were an earth or water bender you will need it with you.

Yeah, that's true, even though Fire doesn't seem to be as limited as the rest. Here's the way I see things in way of limitations, from least limitations to great limitations:
Air - No limitaitons at all. No air, you die.
Fire - Very few limiations. From what we've seen, Zuko can Firebend just about anywhere.
Earth - Some limitations, as Earth is almost always around, but as we've seen in "Imprisoned", it is possible.
Water - More limitations, as it is very easy to get someone with no water around than it is anything else.

Yeah sure water has its limitation but every living thing contains water (on earth that is)
so you can just basically form it where ever except desserts because the sun's heat would make it pretty hard to condense moisture
along with water you can make your opponent your own personal puppet ;D mwahahahahaha *evil grin*

Yes, as we saw Master Pakku do the Katara in their fight at the North Pole. That, I have to admit, is the coolest thing about Waterbending.

Can a water bender kill someone from dehitration senes the human body is mostly water so couldn't they absorb the water out of them?
