Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

In the episode 'The Swamp' we saw Waterbenders that no one knew of. They lived in the swamp and wore different colors (Green) then the other Water Tribe that we have seen so far. (Probably because the water in the swamps' color is green)..So I started to think..-because I was bored-..What if there are more Air Benders out there. They could live in the skys, or on some long lost Island.

Tell me what you think

It's possible. They say that Aang's the last Airbender, because as far as anyone's concerned, the Fire Nation killed them all 100 years ago. It's entirely possible that there are more out there, hiding, but no one's seen any...

They do call the show avatar the last airbender, so if there are more out there they're gonna have to get a new name.

Yeah, that just shows he is the last known airbender, not the last of the airbender race. Did Aang already visit all of the Air Temples. If not, then there might be more out there. Also, if he did, then they might have hidden somewhere

Yeah. they could've just gone POOF! And with flying and all that it's be pretty easy to escape any attacks , and I'm sure they could hide good.

I don't think they killed them all sure the name states it but in order to return balance to their chaotic system the airbenders have to return somehow, or the avatar cycle is already broken because he can't be born to a dead race. Unless there are still people with airbender blood in them in which case they might have an airbending child.

there is that possiblity or aang has a kid or they could be reborn think somehow airbenders from the past learned airbending someway or another maybe the same thing will happen to rebuild the air nomads

If ang dies then a new avatar will be born into the cycle. Since ang is the fire avatar (which i'm guessing is going to have some importance) then the next avatar will be air. Ang can't be the last airbender because if he dies then no one could teach the next avatar airbending.

no cause remember when they were in the temple with all the statues and ang was looking at them and he said that he was the fire avatar and Sokka was all like "I knew there was a reason i didn't trust you." But getting off topic and it's gotta be pretty hard to seft-teach yourself bendeing, especialy airbending.

Avatar Roku was the Fire Avatar. Aang is the Air Avatar. Avatar Roku was the Avatar directly before Aang, which means his earliest past life was as a Firebender. I'm 100% positive about this.

And I don't think that there are anymore Airbenders. It is possible, but I doubt there are actually anymore. Perhaps a few decendants, but no actual Benders.

Also, the next Avatar could learn Airbending from going into one of those weird soul meetings with the other Avatars and then Aand could teach him/her. I'm not too sure if that's really possible though.

hmm unless, and i got a feeling about this. The Fire nation got up to the air temples that only airbenders and flying bisons could get to. I figure there was a traitor and s/he either let them use his/her bison or showed them they way up. Now they have him locked up somewhere.

Hmm... Well, I do realize that the show isn't named The Last Airbender in other places, but, I do really think that Aang truly is the last Airbender. Yes, there was a traitor, but that triator is dead by now, and Aang really is the Last Airbender, or, as I've said this before, there would be no point in naming it Avatar: The Last Airbender in America if he the Avatar wasn't the Last Airbender...

I am leaning more along the lines that there are people who has the blood that was once in the airbenders. But still there must be some airbenders left I know the title states that no airbenders are left. But just look at other countries they changed the name of the show most likely cause they know that Aang is not the last airbender.

But still the title states that he is, but just look at the TCG card there is another Airbender who is a female and whose mother escaped the Fire Nation raid.

I don't believe Aang will be the final airbender- it can't be so simple to upset the ballance as to kill everyone. Maybe non-benders with bending ancestors will begin to have bending children- maybe Aang will start them back up. But, I don't think this will be on the show much, if at all.
