Well, yeah, Jet's death was implied. I loved the ending where Zuko looked down at the Blue Spirit mask, and Iroh told him to let it go, and he did. I love Zuko's new hair, too. It makes him look so HOT!!! Zuko is awesome, and I totally think that he should go with Aang and co. It will probably end up that way, anyway

I think the episode was good but Katara didnt waterbend much and the Dai Lee were portrayed as real powerful earthbenders but were proved quite weak by the way the group disbatched them.

Leong Feng proved to also be quite weak. Did anyone hear him imply that he was controlling the king like he was everybody else?

Do you think Aang and Co. will leave Ba Sing Se or be forced to leave?

Is the group going to get their important message across to the king or whoever is in charge?

What is Zuko's destiny that Iroh spoke of? To teach Aang firebending? I personally think Iroh is going to teach Aang firebending.

Untill next time.....

Was I alone in finding Toph and Katara's newly revealed skills (being able to tell if someone is lying or being able to help someone remember something clearly) a bit too convienent not to mention problematic. With these abilities, this means no one can ever tell a lie to the gang as long as Toph is around and if anyone ever has a fuzzy memory about something, Katara can make them see it more clearly. So lying and mental trauma are forever illimunated as plot devices from this show. This could come back to bite the creators in later episodes if they are not careful.

The creators of the show avatar make episodes before hand and decide to release them on a weekly basis. Mako (tear) did most episodes in the earth book before he (tear) died. I am thinking that obviously, they have planned for this to happen or something. I dunno

^^i agree they plan a lot of things. Ever wonder how websites keep finding out the names of the episodes? Because nick and all them are really working to expand the storyline ten folds of what they release.

Though i do understand that it could come back to them. It's very likely and it would seem stupid to ad such a thing, but perhaps they will force either of them into a state of oblivion to the technique. I really wasn't a whole lot happy with the fact that these abilities were given. it changes things that are common in our world and and highly likely common in their world also. though like in the episode if a person truly believes in something they won't show any signs of lying

I know. The abilities just suddenly appear with a *poof*. It kind of kills the moment. I mean, why didn't Toph do the whole lie detecting thing earlier? Like when they were trying to find Appa before. Hmmmm. I could go on, but I won't. I hope Zuko hooks up with Aang and Co., cause that would help Zutara happen. *smiles really big at certain spoiler info that she shouldn't post* Ah, how I love spoilers. Anyhow, did anyone else love it when Iroh lost his temper with Zuko? That was SO awesome. I was like, YEAH! Zuko SO had that coming.

zuko will join aang and co. its practically factual. i guarantee this.

iroh probably wont join the group. Why u ask? because he has his tea shop. thats why they gave it to him (the writers). if he still worked for that other guy, he would get angry when zuko left. something tells me smellerbee and longshot (i wonder what their real names are?) will work for iroh and live in his apartment.

hey suyami, can u pm me the spoiler? im really curious about what you are talking about.

I loved this episode. I haven't seen too many cool earthbending fights in the other episodes so it was a nice change. Earthbending is so cool. lol

Here's the link to YouTube's Lake Laogai episode in case no one else posted it.

While I would like to see Iroh become Aang's teacher, I get the feeling that you are correct in your prediction. I didn't think this was possible before because Zuko had not mastered more advanced firebending techniques yet, but now that he his let go of his past, I think that perhaps now, he will be able to learn these techniques. The question now is when and where will he be able to train?

Leaving Iroh behind at Ba Sing Se to run his tea shop also solves the problem of what to do with his character now that his voice actor has passed away ( In Memorium of Mako ) and keep the group a band of youths, which is what kids shows always seem to have anyway.

Personally, I still like the idea of Iroh as Aang's teacher. He and Aang would get along so well, it would just be so much fun having those two together.

Well, I guess only time will tell.

I loved this episode, as did my mom. I did not think, however, that they should have killed off Jet. That was really rotten of what's his name to do (Long Feng?). Anyway, I can't wait to see the next episode. Oh, and so glad that Zuko let Appa go. I was hoping he would.

Oh, and if you want to discuss who will be Aang's teacher, this is not the place for that. This is for discussing the episode. I do believe that there's another thread for that buried here somwhere. If not make one.

Oh, and there was lots of rulebreaking on the first two pages. I won't delete the posts, but those involved should know that all posts outside of the Games and Quizzes boards need to be 200 characters long, and most of those most certainly weren't.

Yes, the episode was quite nice! I liked how Toph made the joke, and was glad that Zuko wasn't going to keep Appa. I guess that new haircut transformed him on the inside, too. ;D Ah, how I love Zuko with his new long hair. He is so awesome.
