I would have to say katara and zhao are my least favorites. aang has gotten on my nerves ever since the first episode as well, but i've gotten over it.

My least favorite character, hands down, would have to be Jet. He is arrogant, and he is 'hot' and he is 'strong'. It just annoys me when people have a right to be arrogant. I can forgive someone for projecting their insecurities, but its just plain not fair when people are so awesome!

I didn't like Jet either, but for entirely differnet reasons. I hated how he played with Katara's emtions like that. He was just... I don't know, He was not a nice guy. I mean, he was trying to do the right thing, but with all the wrong methods. "The ends justify the means," was totally his way of thinking, and I'm sorry, but that is now things should be done.

I think Koh was pretty awesome...
But Jet I can't stand. I mean, if I was Katara, I would've just sent a spear through his head and have done with it. Even if he was trying to do the right thing, he was willing to kill defenseless innocent bystanders to get his way...

i dont like Zhao either. I was glad when he died in last episode of water and didn't come back to life in the first chapter of earth.

Yeah, Zhao was my all time least favorite. Coming in close second is Katara- this isn't meant to offend anyone- I just think she has become Mary-sueish. I mean, she was equal with Pakku, first real battle, and now she's randomly taking down earth kingdom people (like those two guys in The Earthbender Tournament)

Well, the I don't think it was totally evil for Jet to use those methods. From his point of view, he was a hero. I empathize with him for that, because he desperately wanted to do good. I didn't understand why they didn't simply make up a earthbender holiday and evacuate the towns people. The firebenders wouldn't attend, its not their holiday. But, thats not the point.
The toying with the emotions thing I didn't see. I thought he really cared for her, but just cared more about the fight than one girl. I can understand that, and for all we know she broke his heart when she left. I mean, he did try to keep her from seeing the destruction. He could have simply captured her and be done, like with Sakka.
It is on topic because I still don't like Jet.

You do have a point, Yuudai, but he I still believe that he lied to her on more than one occaision in the episode, He also used her and Aang to get things done, not telling them what was really going on... what he was planning to do. I don't agree with his methods. I know he thought they were just.

When she was gathering people to go attack Aang in Omashu she was cruel to that circus girl, she just HAS to get her own way! I also think she has just as much anger as anyone if not more, she just doesn't show it. Eventually as she fights she lets her anger control her and we all know no good comes from that. Another thing i can't stand is she pretends to be peoples friends then stabs them in the back! I actually really can't stand Jet...mostly only when he's chewing on that plant though. It's irritationg as heck and I'm not sure why...
Of course I don't like his methods much either...he's going about do gooding in a bad way.
At any rate though, I laughed pretty hard when Sokka tried putting a bit of hay in his mouth to make him normal again, but he just sort of spat it out.

First of all, Zhao did not kill Yue. To say she was killed makes her death seem less important- her sacrifice noexistent. She sacrificed herself- yes Zhao made it necessary, no he did not kill her. And who wouldn't want to steal Aang's face?
