The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

... with bending it would be impossible to stop. Mabe, but no Airbender would use it. Airebenders evade and escape as to not harm their opponents, enimies, what ev, but to just stop fighting.

Yeah, Zanisha's right, and every bending discipline has it's downfall, and the fact that Airbending has no finishing move was its.

Well he has to kill Fire Lord Ozia and he could do that move where he sucks the air out of your lungs.

Yeah, that's why Aang's learning all of the elements, so that he can defeat Ozai...

Yeah... Aang's gonna be SUPER powerful, but so is the fire lord.

But what if Aang has to use his bending to kill the fire lord?

I don't think that would happen since airbending has no finishing move (for about the hundredth time). If anything, air bending could break someone's neck or something of that sort. However it would be interesting to see what kind of an airbender would be produced if trained by the aggressive warriors of the Fire Nation.

If Aang has to kil the Fire Lord (and I'm pretty sure that's what it'll come to), then he'll have to do with another one of the elements, not Airbending.

Airbending is not meant to kill people because it reflects the Air Nomads belief that all life is precious and should not be distroyed. So that is why it is pretty difficult to kill with Air Bending

Oh come now... do you really think Aang is going to kill Ozai? Let's put those two words together... Aang kill... Why does that sound wrong? Ozai will most likely kill himself, similar to what Zhao did. Aang would be left traumatized by killing someone, and that's no way to end a series... am I right?

*stares* You know, you're right... He'll die either way, though... but I doubt that Aang will kill him, with his "All life is sacred" point of view... He'll defeat him, but not kill him.

Karena how would he defeat fire lord Ozai without killing him.I mean fire lord Ozai isn't going to beg for mercy "come on really if anyones begging for mercy isn't defiantly not fire lord Ozai".

Hmm... I still don't think Aang would kill him, and I agree, Ozai wouldn't beg for mercy (I said nothing of the sort). Aang just isn't the type to kill. Most likely, someone else who is with him at the end (we don't know who all he will meet in this season, and the next two...) will kill him. Aang doesn't like to kill. He might, but Aang was raised to respect all life, even his enemies.

Yeah, imagine if Zuko killed Ozai. That would be awesome. You know, Aang is going all Avatar, and Zuko just jumps up and BAM!

But I can imagine Aang killing hom if that's what it came to- him or Ozai. And I think it will come down to it eventually, and then Zuko will rule the fire nation, and send Azula off to be killed...

You guys are forgetting how powerful Ozai is, the fire nation just doesn't give the title "Fire Lord" to anyone.

I'm fairly sure that Zuko will eventually rule the Fire Nation somehow, and that both his father and his sister will die in the final fight. (Azula maybe before.) Anyway, back on topic people...

Just to speak up here, there are still 2 books to go and like 80 episodes left to the series, by that time I am sure Aang will be a more then capable oponent for Ozai. I also have a hunch that maybe Zhou will get a bit too power hungry and kill him, or something like that. I also think maybe Iroh and Ozai would have a short battle.
