I'm a fan of Earth Bending. I like the way Tyro, Haru's father said "Don't worry, I hear cowards float" when he brought some of the Fire Nation soldiers and their leader over the side of the ship after their leader said he couldn't swim, and then Tyro allowed the coal the soldiers were all laying on, to fall into the water. lol that's my favorite part in that episode. (Although, I forget what that episode was called. hehe.)

Kasume - This is not a thread to discuss your favorite parts in any episode. It is only to discuss the different bending styles, and nothing more.

Shio and Shijin - Make sure you stay on topic. I saw a couple of times when you were discussing something other than Bending fighting styles, and that is spamming. Please stay on topic.

Bending styles?? Hmm...I still like waterbending the best because of its smooth movements like what Aang said,"Shift your stances." or something like that and then Katara cuts him off. I like waterbending anyway.

I think that waterbenders could'nt freeze firebenders blood, maybe because they have abnormally high blood temperatures and body heat, that would explain why the water nation didnt just kill the fire lord and end the war... if they were able then they could of prevented a lot of people from dying. Which i think most waterbenders are sympathetic towards.

I personally like fire. Its so aggresive, poweful, fierce, and overwhelming. Fire can take many shapes giving them advantages just like waterbenders and their water. as for defensive moves, making a wall of fire in front of you, or casting a smoke screen are defensive moves other than blocking, arent they?

Well heres my list of favorite bending styles.

1. fire- the only element that if you touch it, you get hurt.
2. water- so versitile, so soothing, yet it holds a hidden power
3. Earth- loyal, strong
4. Air- to defensive, just evasive, no offense at all

True, but all the running away and dodging aang does still puts air off for me, i havent seen aang, other than when he's in the avatar state conjour up a huge tornando against his enemies.

I don't really dislike any of the elements, i just like more than others.

I pretty sure they can still kill them its just they have reasons not to use it. I have several ideas on why they didn't do it (besides that there would have been no show if they did) : one reason is because that its probably a difficult technique that even water bending masters have a hard time doing.

Another reason his because they don't have the hearts to do it. The reason why I believe this is because if they use it on the fire lord there will just be some one there to take his place because after so many years the fire nation I guessing have really come to believe that they are the dominate nation and they should take over so then if that happens the water benders will have to fight back with that technique and they will continue and continue until there are almost no more people from the fire nation and if that happens the water bender just lowered themselves to the fire nation's level because they got rid of the air nomads and they would be just like them expect they got rid of the fire nation

lol. Hmm. Mabey they had to drink the water first. Gee that would be funny. Katara walks up to Ozai gives him a drink,he drinks it, Katara kills him, then says "Problem solved." and everyone has the same look Azula had on her face when the soilder sliped about Zuko and Iroe being prisoners when he was boarding them on the ship.

I imagine that a water bender could control and create steam as well...Im far more unnerved by having someone BOIL my blood in my veins.
Also, I think air benders would be able to control various gasses... like... hydrogen.... BOOOM.... hehe... silly air benders and their massive explosious.. not just for firebenders anymore.

lol. But firebenders can't bend lava, so i don't think that airbenders could bend gas.
