Yes but why hasn't he tried to teach just a group how to airbend then let them teach other people like the people in the Northern Air Temple
(I know you don't know the answer I am just saying is all)

he could do that teach them the moves so if another airbender is born somehow there would be people who can kind of show him/her the moves

If I am right the term airbender is for any bender of the air
and since bending is a learned ability I do not think it would matter if you were originally from another nation

It has to be a learned ability or else Sokka would be a bender, hundreds of people would be benders I mean just look at Katara she is a self tought waterbender. Perhaps the skill is inherited but the bending type you choose has to be learned.

just because they have parents who benders I dout that their kid are all benders if it was a learned ability then my guess is that Sokka would have tuaght himself so he can get back at Katara

Come on Sokka refers to it as magic water so he obviously thinks it is dumb, just look at the episode when Katara was teaching Aang waterbending she was teaching him how to bend water

If benders were allowed to bend more than one element they would all learn more than one then there would be nothing special about the avatar

No what I am saying is they can only learn to bend one element the avatar can bend all of the elements once their chi has adjusted to bending one element it cannot adjust to bend another
