It might happen, who knows, the writers. I just hope they stop there so we can see the city because it seems to be the heart of the Earth Kingdom.
Hope they show more Fire Nation like cities like in the Desserter.

I could see just this large fortress for his ship. Built with about fifty escape ships or those personal vessels.
The sheer size would frighten people I mean having this thing headed right at you would be pretty scary.

theres also the possibility that he probably wasn't there during the time he could have been gone and that is why the fire nation was able to take over after all I'm sure King Boomi is a great earth bender
