Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Okay, if you want to talk Romance, we have a thread for that already, so go there, and stop the discussion here. if you want to talk whether or not she'll come in later, or if she's a Dai Lee agent, or anything else but romance, then you can stay here. If not, then this thread will be closed.

Okay, so we all know this is a hard time for Karena :P, lets give her some support now! (if you don't know what I mean, just read her profile, and you'll understand)

So I'm not going to talk about romance, although I seriously think a girl for Zuko would be REAL good for him (not saying this new girls the one for him tho, personally he should look for another Fire Nation Outcast ;) right Karena?).

It would be a good plot twist if she were a spy of some kind, if she REALLY WAS onto Zuko and Iroh. Maybe shes doing that nasty trick of getting close, so then the betrayal is more hurtful! We will just have to wait and see now!

^^ i doubt she will be. If They want to make Zuko more angery then i bet they mite as well slap on the title Zuko the insane firebender with huge caution tape around him

He's not going to get hurt from the relationship and i doutbt he will cuz its just...not likely its a twist as it is for the girl to ask him out at all. To twist it again is a contradiction in my opinion kinda like math when you subtract a negative you get a positive. basicly turning in a circle doing nothing lol

I honestly don't see too much validity to the idea of Jin being a spy. It IS possible, I admit, but it just seems a bit too subtle for the Dai Li. When Jet was fighting Zuko, they just came by and grabbed him without any resitance whatsoever. Two firebenders might be more of a challenge, but I would guess that the very notion of firebenders in Ba sing se, a huge threat to thier idea of isolation from the war, would probably warrant enough agents to take Zuko and Iroh. No, I think that Jin is exactly what she appears to be, an interesting new development in the story as a romantic interest of Zuko.

I really liked her, Jin, that is. So much so, I started writing my first Avatar fanfic. Please check it out in the Avatar fanfic, fanart section. It's titled, Destiny.

Okay, enough self-promotion. ;D

I really hope they keep her in as a recurring character as someone in addition to Iroh who acts as a source of stability for Zuko.

Perhaps, she will be the source of humility for Zuko that will finally allow him to overcome his shame and allow him to become a truly great firebender. Just a thought. ;)

Hmm... Yeah it would be humorous... Maybe it is because Zuko is so wrapped up in himself and can't get over the fact that he was banished.. Jin would make it funny by trying to get Zuko to come out of his shell and maybe even tell her he is a firebender...

Jin might be frightend, and maybe run away. Or maybe after getting to know Zuko she will not care.

I defiantly think she will show up again in another episode, becasue they did give her the free tea coupon and I'm pretty sure that she'll wanna know if zuko is ok, after all he did run away on her. Plus on the part on her knowing if he is a firebender or not, i think she knows that she is because he did light all of those candles and in reality how would you fo that????!!!! And another theory that i have is that jet used her to find out if Zuko is really a firebender or not because when you really think about the girl brought him somewhere where there should be a bunch of candles lit, but they aren't so if she acts cute and all Zuko would probally light them, which he did. Then Jet would have proof of them being firebenders! It is a master plan for Jet!!!!!Muhahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

EDIT: woops sorry Akailen I didn't read the second page and i guess you came up with the same theory as me but you posted it first :(

Urr, I'm not sure if she's going to make an appearance again. I think that eppisode was just kinda filler-ish, and it was just used to illustrate Zuko's, uh, naivety with the opposite sex, or prehaps the feeling of teenage love (wtf am i harping on about? 0_0) It was cute at the end though. :)

I liked Jin. I think(and hope) she will be in more episodes. But in The Cave of Two Lovers, Zuko and Song seemed to kind of bonded with the scar thing, so it's possible that Jin was a one time thing.

That is just my opinion on what may happen though, so what does happen could be total opposite.
But I think it is a closer relatonship because of the fountain thing.

(information from Lake Laogai, courtesy of turbonic.com . I attempted to watch this video today, but i could not locate it so they may have removed the full length of the episode. if you do not want to read possible spoilers, i have made it black so if you do not wish to read it,
DO NOT HIGHLIGHT THE FOLLOWING)

I am 99.99% sure that Jin is not a spy. First of all, a good spy would realize Zuko is the blue spirit, Iroh sure did. Secondly, Jet was thoroughly brainwashed. Lastly, the Dai Lee is so occupied with Aang, they don't have time with Zuko. it seemed like every Dai Lee was fighting them.

Cute yes, but i do wish it would continue. the tales were probably my favorite episode because it had no fixed story on it. There was a sense of humanity within the characters of what they did in their free time and what not.

back to topic:
I think the will bring her back, but it might just be a filler or a way of making a turning point for zuko

I think she'll appear at least once more. She's the proof that Zuko changed. And she's the beginning of Zuko's new life. That means she'll make another appearance, maybe later in the show. If they stay in Ba Sing Se, and since she's one of Uncle Iroh's favorite customers (if I heard it right), she will. And if she can accept that Zuko is from the Fire Nation, then we'll see her even more in the show (I think).

She'll come back, but fall for Sokka instead, and then Zuko will already be in love with Katara!!! That would be very awesome..... Sorry, just a bit obsessive about Zutara, for I will ship it forever and for always!!!!!!! ZUTARA FOR EVER!!!!

*sighs* Su-su... *puts his hand on his head and shakes his head* Your theory is completely... I can't find any word for it. Zuko will NEVER fall in love with Katara. Jin is the one for Zuko. The preview we've seen doesn't take place in the Cave of Two Lovers but in the undergrounds of Ba Sing Se. Zuko and Katara will just meet and they'll explain things to ech other. Zuko will... I'm going off topic so I'l stop there. Jin is Zuko's love. Sokka will end up with Suki (if she's still alive. If she isn't, that means our poor Sokka has been cursed in love when he was born...), not with Jin. Zuko will certainly have a kind of revelation in the caves with Katara and will go back to the firelight fountain or whatever can be the name and find Jin waiting for him. Then they'll talk, he'll apologize for his behavior last time and they'll kiss, certainly. That's my theory about what will happen...

*high five* Woohoo for Zutara shippers! ^_~ "I'll save you from the pirates" Ah, that's one of my favorite avatar moments. XD

As for the new girl, I don't really know much about her because I haven't been able to follow the series since I left for college X.X Curses for not having a tv in my room, but I'm making my mom get me all of the dvds of the series that are out for Christmas, hurrah! And no, I do not approve of the new girl even if I haven't seen her because 1) of Katara<3 2) she's new, how does she get the attractive firenation exiled prince? and 3) because if he does have a relationship, then that will greatly discourage the hundreds upon thousands of female viewers that love him! *snuggles* XD

I'm not quite sure what to believe anymore. Although the idea of Zutara is quite interesting, and I would enjoy seeing that happen, the little traditionalist inside me is rooting for the Kataraang story. I'm really quite torn. I also think as long as Katara is happy with her decision, it will all be fine. Besides she wont know all the people in our world she just disappointed, although if she chooses Zuko, Aang will definitely be quite upset I'm sure.

( Or just kick Zuko all over the place and show Katara he's better, who knows.)

Besides Aunt Woo told Katara that the man she would marry would be "a very powerful bender."

AAAARGGGHH!!! I don't know!

Yeah kataang is a cute traditional ship but I think it wold be kind of awkward for Sokka, it being his sister and his like best friend, you know? And besides, Zutara more than promises angst against the nations, even though he's becoming less and less fire nation-y as time goes on. So here's what I think:

Zuko + Katara (shhyess!!)
Sokka + was it Suki? The girl from the island that kicked his butt ;)
Aang + ...Azula XD (just kidding)

I don't know, as the avatar, it's hard to have a relationship because once you're reborn, it starts all over again. Imagine the number of wives/husbands the avatar must have over the lifetimes...that could be hard on top of the job of keeping the entire world in balance. Idk, maybe Aang + Katara could work, cuz it would be sweet, I guess I'm just a sucker for the whole star crossed lover's thing. *shrug* XD

stay on topic you guys. we're discussing what we think of jin. theres another thread for romance pairings so go there. anyway, i personally think that jin will not come. the tales of ba sing se was just used to give us a deeper insight into the characters' minds.
