The Unnag!!!! The Coy Fish!! They have no nationality because they are creatures of the sea. The Earth kingdom has those monsters that live in the canyons. The gater-thing from the swamp. And all those weird farm animals.

the water nation also had those seal-turtle that kept barking at Zuko.
and the air-nation his lemurs! And hermit crabs, like in that one episode that I forgot the name of XD

and…the fire nation has turtle-ducks. Though I bet they’re technically all nations too.

I saw the site and wow I didin't know that there were so many animals. Like wierd ones, funny ones, mean ones and just cool ones. I've seen some but not like this. awesome cool now we can know more about the animals thanks kieda

Is it just me, or do the ostrich-horses remind other people of chocobos too? Maybe that's just the Final Fantasy freak screaming "Fellow geeks, fellow geeks!" about the creators of Avatar...

Hey Furiae don't you think a griffon is really dangerous ? They're more aggressive than dragons (I think).

I imagined a giant bird named Gokko. It's a kind of giant eagle, red like a messenger hawk, it's looks like a phoenix but without fire, it doesn't have teeth but it's carnivorous and it has 3 long feathers exceeding from the tail (the color changes according to their ages and genders). It can't bend (unless you think flying very fast is Airbending). They're friendly and protective to their friends but the only problem is that people are afraid of them (if you don't know my character has one and he's his best friend).

My character has a giant animal called an armacoon that she rides on. It’s basically a raccoon with the armor of an armadillo, and it has armadillo claws and a funny snout/long tongue.
XD I dunno, it randomly popped into my head because I was wondering what kind of animal she would ride on and I made it up.

And in a piece of fanfiction I wrote I mentioned Sokka hunting a rabbitsquirrel XD

That depends on what one says to each creature. Don't mess with a dragon's treasure, they're happy. Unless they're hungry, in which case, YOU won't be happy.
Although that's usually Red Dragons.....sometimes Greens.....Yeah I'm sad.

Not at all Arashiko, because my bird is very huge, just about Appa's size (a bit smaller), he's red, he's a kind of EAGLE, not a vulture, and it has three long feathers exceeding from the tail. I don't know if I've already said it but my character can fly on this bird and your bird is too small to fly on.

Furiae rides a dragon named Angelus, and she's red dragon.

The agressiveness of a creature doesn't depend on its color, only its personality. Dragons don't really horde treasure, not all that much.

And Gryphons aren't more agressive than dragons! They are very protective of territory, but dragons even more so. So maybe I could have a gryphon, all of these people riding crazy things like huge birds, a gryphon wouldn't be too off scale! And Furiae has a dragon...

And Avatar Ruko had a dragon. Thought a Gryphon would be hard to see. I thought that they are a european myth, not an asian one.

A gryffon is a bit usual, just like dragons. They're mythical. Just like phoenix or anything else. I like new creatures but I hate monsters like gremlins or werewolves or even ugly ghosts. I prefer nice creatures (like birds or reptiles or mammals) they're more friendly. Our europeans creatures (like gryffons) are nice and aggressive (not really aggressive but they can attack). The Show shows some creatures but not enough it needs more differents creatures...

Hey, I just realized something, there might be more various animals in the Spirit World than in the Mortal World. In the Mortal World, most of the animals are mix of our animals from the real world, like the turtle-duck, the turtle-seal, the tiger-seal, the ostrich-horse, the pig mixed with many differents animals. But we don't know much about the Spirit World...
