Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

When the King said, "The earth Kingdom has fallen," I actually started to cry! I was already starting to well up from the Kataang moment when he got shocked with lightning! VERY EMOTIONAL

Okay, you've all seen my good side, now back to loving azula!

I cried this episode, when Aang interrupted Katara and Zuko, and when Zuko went evil.

Okay, just to put in a word for those Toph and Sokka lovers out there, check out this little screenshot.

or, this one:

note the arms around Sokka, there. O.o Of course, there are a lot of Ty Lee and Sokka screenshots there, too, but I just don't feel like posting them.
As you can see by my new avvie and sig, I went on an iconing burst, and got really mad at Zuzu, though I still love him, mind you. I have more... Lots more.

So it seems that not only has Zutara come to an end but perhaps even Kataang has as well.

We can only hope, frankly all the "Zutara" vs "Kataang" debates was nauseating. Especially since they did not stay in the romance pairings thread so I could avoid them. :P Unfortunately I am sure the debate will continue with each side grasping to as many scenes that would seem to favor their argument as they can... And no, I am not taking sides, I dislike them both equally. :o

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the finale. The Dai Li were infuriatingly treacherous (Let's face it, it was their betrayal that truly lost Bah Sing Se), Katara and Toph both did some great bending, and I loved learning how Iroh got his nickname! LOL The Guru was slower paced, tis true, but I also enjoyed learning about the chakras that effect the various elements. I am surprised, however, at how nice Azula suddenly was towards Zuko, mainly once the city was taken and Zuko was unsettled about betraying Iroh and whether or not his father would accept him. She was actually sympathetic and dare I say it... caring... True, she might be setting him up, but that begs the question: To what end? She really doesn't need him anymore.

So now Aang and friends are on the run, Bah Sing Se is controlled by the Fire Nation, Zuko seemingly has gone to the dark side, and Iroh is imprisoned. Season three will be most interesting indeed...

Copper for your thoughts. :)

Can't wait till Season Three. Anyone else notice that Zuko's sleeve's suddenly dissapeared? He looked hotter without them, tis true, but still.. They just... vanished! And the whole thing where Katara took Aang out of the cave with the thing of water? Totally awesome. Toph can metalbend! *yay*

Katara really owned in this episode though... it was like ((in exaggerated)) PSHING PSHING with Zuko and Katara and those weird tendrilly arm things, and it was like I can beat all you Dai Lee whatevers... if Toph can metalbend can't waterbenders... ((don't laugh)) tree-bend? Anything that has earth in it can now be bended... anything with water? Paper bending!!!

Cause that would be his undershirt...why I noticed that don't ask...
Anyways, what a great eppy adn a great way to end off season 2. I truly enjoyed that two on two battle at the end where Zuko and Azula were fighting Katara and Aang. IT was pretty evenly matched, can you say ultimate rivals...(Aang and Zuko, Azula and Katara) I just realized that casuse Azula and Katara are both prodigies in their own right. Zuko and Aang are also rivals due to the fact that they almost always fight each other when they see each other. The exceptions being Lake Laogai, and The Chase, The Storm, and the Winter Solstice: Avatar Roku

Suyami, the reason toph was grabbing onto Sokka was because she hates flying and didn't want to fall off because there is no saddle anymore

But still, look at them. Sokka looked happy. Watch out Suki, you have compitition. I think that Song will talk Zuko out of it somehow. I mean, she just appeared and dissapeared, she has to show up some time afterwards. Even Aunt Wu did... and she had an effect on him. I still hate Zuko, but with more passion now... I just kept saying "Bastard Bastard!" to the Tv

This was the perfect way to end the second book of the trilogy. Most trilogies end with hope after the first (see star wars) and extreme despair after the second (see the same). This was the correct ending. That which most wanted to happen: Zutara, Zuko's character continuing along the redemption arc, the Earth Kingdom being saved, etc. didn't. It was quite the opposite. The third season is going to rock, but I think that they definately shouldn't do a fourth.

I gotta say that this is the saddest scene in the entire season finale or in all of Avatar. I nearly wanted to cry and I still keep on getting that wierd feeling in the back whenever I see this:

I gotta say that these picture cannot just be a coincidence.

WE'RE DOOMED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *des and creates his own grave by Earthbending as he fallls* It's the Black Earth Spirit talking for Joychi. I'm sorry but he had a little problem and can't talk to you right now. But I'm here to translate his last words:

Hum Hm... That episode was awesome. I'm crying about the fact that the Earth Kingdom has fallen to the Fire Nation. And I was double crying when Aang entered the Avatar State and died because of Azula's lightning (at first, crying because of the Avatar Spirit and his powerful appearence, secondly, because he died). The Avatar is now the last one who can save the world. The invasion isn't possible anymore from Ba Sing Se. But if they go take as much Earthbenders as they can, then maybe it's possible. But they'll have to make a tour of the Earth Kingdom, to do so. Won't be a problem to convince Earthbenders with the Earth King in the group.

Toph can metalbend.... unbelievable. But I believe every blind Earthbender can do that. I think this episode was the bending peak for almost everybody: Toph has discovered a high level of Earthbending, Katara has brought someone back to life, Aang controls the Avatar State, Zuko just fought like he never did, Iroh deserves his nickname of "The Dragon of the West" and Azula almost killed the Avatar with her lightning (but I wonder how she knew that the Avatar would really die if she killed him in the Avatar State.... maybe she didn't know but just found the opportunity). Anyway, you got that in your heart, Zutara fans !!! Now, it's Kataang for life !!!!!! And I wanted to say something else, but I forgot it.

Now, is there a healer around to help me bring Joychi back to life ? ;D

EDIT: I remember what he wanted to say: Aang's crystal armor was the awesomest !!!!! (not as awesome as the Avatar Spirit but still....)

Yes all the new bending was awesome. Ecspecialy Zuko Fire Lashes, I've got to learn that one. I dont think the whole picture thing was a quincedance, there had to be something behind that. And I'm sure Toph was holding Sokka's arm so she wouldnt fall, but i'm sure she enjoyed doing it.

Well, I'm afraid this episode influences so many characters traveling in the Earth Kingdom right now... Everybody in Ba Sing Se has to be run under the rule of Azula, everybody in the Earth Kingdom now knows that the Fire Nation has taken over the Earth Kingdom entirely... now the only save places to be are the North, South, Water tribes and some small towns in the Earth Kingdom... I hope they don't kill all the Earthbenders because Earth and Water are my favorite bending disciplines... Katara bothers too much with tendrilly stuff... I think she should just go with waves and stuff that cuts Azula's hair. :)

AHHH I WILL EXPLODE

STUPID FIRE NATION

I wonder if this will actually be true, or if Azula (or the one she appoints) will rule like Long Feng did: Let the people think the Earth King rules, but be the real power behind him. At least long enough for them to let enough Fire Nation soldiers into the city to secure her position. My reason for thinking this is because I doubt the military will accept Fire Nation rule. Azula has control of the Dai Li, but they work more through subterfuge and stealth and I don't think would be strong enough to keep Azula in power should things come to civil war.

Copper for your thoughts. :)

I am just worried for the people RPing in the Earth Kingdom right now... this huge change. I don't know how the RPers will react. I myself has brought the subject up with my characters and the people they RP with. I'm not sure what they'll think of it, but I'm pretty sure it adds to the excitement of the RP.

Dollar bill fo' yo' thoughts. :D WHAT NOW!? lol

Don't worry, Joychi is the Black earth Spirit. Nothing will happen to him. And I don't think it'll affect people too much (I mean in the show). Because even though Ba Sing Se is taken, there's still hope (besides the Avatar). Ba Sing Se wasn't a stronghold at all since it wasn't involved in the war. Actually, it was only a symbol or something like that. There are still wandering Earthbenders, Earth Kingdom troopers in the Earth Kingdom. If the Earth King can tell the news of the invasion and gather an army, then there's hope. The Fire Nation has taken the homes but if the Earthbenders from all of the Earth Kingdom can drive Firebenders back to the Western coast and make the army gather in General Fong's Earth Kingdom base, with Earthbenders still throughout the Earth Kingdom as back-up, then they can launch the invasion, with Aang in the front line to fight the Fire Lord.

Really, I'm starting to think that I could be a good soldier. I'm always making plans like that. But thinking about that solar eclipse, defeating the Fire Lord doesn't seem so hard. You go there, smack a rock on his face and he won't bother you anymore... ;D

The Black Earth Spirit has spoken !! (It's too bad, thinking that Joychi is supposed to be the lowest Earth Spirit since he is now on Earth, he won't be able to master metalbending, because he is the low Earth Spirit :'()

Rp won't be affected...yet this rp takes place in another place/time/reality, blah all I mean is the show doesn't influence what we do. We choose whether or not to aknowledge the show and follow it's canon. So there is no need to worry after all in our Rp Toph is against Aang.

Still I think the Dai Li wouldn't really be a good stick to use on the people of Ba Sing Se after all they are so small and chances are very few people in Ba Sing Se will even know that they are under Fire Nation rule, just look at the size and the fact that so many of the citizens are stupid. Still it will most likely be converted like Omashu. Adorned with Ozai’s and other stuff.

Still Iroh might be executed.

Thank you, Shio. Let me repeat this again. We are in an AU here. We should exploit that fact by blasting Canon expectations to oblivion...

Heh. As for the Epis, good stuff, and they literally did the surprise turnabout on us with Darth Zuko's little psychotic break at the last second. The one thing which worries me is Toph's metal bending, don't get any idea's, huh? Very much duex ex machina...

wow lol i just finished DLing the two episodes and my mind was like W000T. Then after it finished i was like OMFG!!.

anyway. Thoughts about the episode, yes i wondered if this will affect the RPing and it wont according to Shio. So thats good. Honestly i wouldn't mind it a whole lot since most of my characters don't have any particular alliance and my main Char is a firebender and a special one at that, but he doesn't like the royal fire family (<--har har) because they had their military execute his family.

Anyway. i hope this won't be the fall of Iroh. Iroh truly is one of the best characters. He changed Zuko, but unfortunatly i think zuko is going to stick to his old 'restore honor' personality.

As for Toph bending metal or at least what is in the metal....i think they might have pushed it a bit too far and when Aang goes to Ozai i believe toph will be a big part on that.

As for the chakra (sp?) i really wonder what will happen to Katang. It looked like a Zutara was going to happen for sure then zuko goes back and that pretty much says "nope no Zutara" and if Aang has given up on Katara to get the avatar state controlled it makes you wonder if there will be any relationships with anyone....That and how will there be more airbenders? Unless we figure out about the west and east air temples which are apparently of only girls. And that strikes how will the air bending continue? Aang is the last airbender so he has to either teach the east and west or have children which is pretty much out of the question now =\

Too many questions and it's going to make me insane.
