The quick explanation of board-wide plotting is really as simple as it sounds: if you have a plot idea that can involve characters across the board, post it here. In the past, we have had similar threads, such as "The Ba Sing Se Underground" and "The Fire Nation resistance" - threads that recruited and discussed ideas for plots that benefited from larger groups of characters participating.
Something different we're trying this time is to disallow board-wide plots from affecting the outcome of a canon story line. This causes problems later on in the series, and forces us to re-write some in-show canon, which, in the event of a new series [or a new season], makes it difficult to continue our plots.
You don't have to make huge, overreaching plots, either. For example, if you wanted to have a party in a pub, you could! Every party needs guests, though, so you could set up your "guest list" here.
Another function of board-wide plotting is for you to plot for any staff-created event that affects large areas of the Avatar world. We'll sticky a thread if there's something coming up, and you guys can plot away for the theme.
Keep in mind, though, that we don't allow space-time bending on TARP; so, if you have plots that would require your character(s) to be in multiple places at once, please stagger your plotlines and roleplay them leaving one location and arriving at another [though you don't necessarily have to RP all the travelling].
Some additional guidelines to follow:
Have fun, and plot hard, guys!

Some additional guidelines to follow:
1. There's nothing wrong with inventive titles. However, please refrain from 'fancying up' your titles [so nothing && . like T H I S ?! }} ].
2. We do ask that you keep all threads on-topic. If you find your OOC plotting is turning into something unrelated to plotting, please either start a new thread in the General board, or PM each other [depending on if you want other people to participate or not].
3. You do need an accepted character to plot! However, don't be offended if someone doesn't want to "tie" their character to yours! It is, after all, their story.
4. Please keep forum rules, RP rules, and ProBoards TOS in mind when plotting, and don't plot anything that would go against these rules.
5. As with plotting-by-member, please do not plot anything that would drastically affect canon plotline —- this includes people who hold canon characters.
Have fun, and plot hard, guys!
