**From the Monthly PM**

Sorry about the late monthly PM, everyone! I've been absolutely swamped lately with trying to get TARP's v5 layout useable, on top of getting ready to move this upcoming Monday. Luckily for you (and me) internet is already set up at the new place so there'll be very little, if any, downtime.

Anyway, here's what's going on this month!

V5 UPDATES:

We're doing quite well, and there's only a little bit left on my list to do before we can go live. Hopefully it won't take too long, but if you're curious about progress you can look at our v5 test site, located here: Ta-Da!. Please note that the front page links are currently non-functional, as we are still sorting some organisational issues.

In the next coming weeks here on TARP, you will likely see a lot of new boards popping up, some new threads being written, some old threads being re-written, and a new global admin account for the staff to use for official messages. Please excuse the mess while this is going on.

SITE UPDATES:

First, we are going to be reformatting and updating the Rules & FAQ so that they are shorter, easier to remember, and more concise. The FAQ in particular will be going through a large overhaul, as we'll be removing questions we no longer receive on a regular basis.

Second, there will be no anniversary carnival RP this year! Unfortunately, while we still have a handful of dedicated roleplayers, we do not have enough activity to warrant such a large-scale special event. We will still be celebrating our 8th anniversary this year, just without the carnival.

Last, and most importantly, once the v5 goes live (we will let you guys know a few days beforehand), TARP will be transitioning into an AU, no playable canons forum. A lot of thought went into this decision, and ultimately our reasoning is as follows:

• A. As a whole, TARP staff feels that the Book 1 conflict between benders and nonbenders did not meet a satisfactory resolution, and there is no indication from Book 2 or the LOK team that they will revisit this conflict. As such, we will be continuing the plot, finishing out Book 1's ending with a time-skip, and beginning anew with a new plot and new villains — which you will have a chance to influence! We will have more information once the time approaches.
  
  
• B. Unfortunately, we feel that Book 2's plot is not conducive to a roleplay that allows original characters. Because we value our community, we felt that Book 2's plot took away from their ability to play in the LOK universe.

So what does this mean for Book 2 on TARP? Well, we're not ignoring it entirely; we will post updates as necessary based on what the Krew does in the new show, and if anything spills over into Republic City, we will let you know.
