OOC: This RP is taking place right after the dinner with Mako at Kuang's Cuisine (immediately afterwards)
Another day of hard work at the Future Industries. The whistle blew throughout the whole factory, signaling the end of today's work shifts and sending everyone back home to have dinner with their families. And Mr.Sato was longing for the exact same thing when he heard the whistle. In the middle of finishing the list of materials for the next delivery, he immediately dropped his pen - it was only the unteenth time he wrote that list, anyway - and looked at the picture on his desk right away. There used to be a time he knew he would see his wife and his daughter at home, and have a pleasant dinner with them. He just wouldn't stop until he got home and finally saw their beautiful faces.
But nowadays it was not the same. Knowing that someone would be missing every single night was very... different. It made the whistle a bit less merry, as if there was something missing from the sound. He sort of envied the workers he was employing, those who still had their wife and their kids to go home to. But it definitely wasn't like he was miserable. Afterall, his wodnerful daughter was still there, and he would definitely enjoy having dinner with her. Even more so since he hadn't seen her all day. With that cheerful thought in mind, the middle aged industrialist exited his office and made his way out of the building.
The moment he stepped home, his butler told him that dinner would be ready within a dozen minutes, and that the table had been set. Already foreseeing that Asami would join later on, Hiroshi simply acknowledged and went into his room with a smile on his face. The scent of delicious food was already spreading throughout the entire Sato estate, which made the man wonder what they were going to eat today.
...Sadly enough, as he was taking his seat at the dinner table, and while the meals were being transported from the kitchen into the dining room, his daughter was nowhere to be seen. It was rather unusual, but he didn't worry about it much. Teenagers were always like that, unpredictable and late. Without a doubt, Hiroshi patiently waited for the cue that would indicate her finally giving in to hunger, such as the door opening with shouts of hunger being yelled by a cute little girl ready to de- oh, wait. She was a big girl now, she didn't do that anymore. Regardless, she would probably be there anytime.
After half an hour, and a well prepared dish starting to turn cold, Hiroshi could out to his butler with slight impatience. His hands apart from his plate while he intended to wait for his daughter, the householderinquired about the reason why Asami hadn't come down for dinner yet... And his eyes widened a little when he heard that she was having dinner outside today.
"I apologize, master. I thought you knew !"
The first thing that came to Hiroshi's mind was total worry. He was afraid that something would happen to his daughter while she was having dinner outside. Although the equalists would know better than to target his daughter, he couldn't really say the same about the benders of the night, cowards as they were. Gangs filled with fear by Amon's message might make stupid mistakes-... That was ridiculous. Nothing like that would happen to his daughter, he knew it. She was too smart for that, and too strong anyway. He did not need to worry, nothing was going to happen to her.
"It's quite alright. I've been so busy that I haven't seen her much lately... Maybe she told me and I forgot about it." He replied with a gentle smile, comforting himself more than his butler with those words. Could he really have forgotten ?... Well, it might be time to stop overthinking things and have dinner anyway. He still had the memory of his wife to keep him company as he ate. It was so yummy.
