Okay, uh... I haven't seen the finale yet, so thanks for that! :X There was absolutely no reason for you to include that information when your question was for overall travel, rather than anything specifically related to the plot that needed you to divulge spoilers.

I have no idea how far it is — by ship, depending on weather, it's probably at least a couple of months / weeks, depending on the type of boat. RC is in the north-western most coast of the Earth Kingdom content, so it's almost literally on the other side of the world.

That said, aside from passing mentions it shouldn't really matter, all RP on TARP currently takes place on Republic City and Republic City ONLY, as we are unaware of the details about the other areas. :]

in the future please avoid posting Korra spoilers outside of the discussion boards. Remember, the Staff has to check spoiler tags in the help board, and some of us (such as Zombi and myself) don't have cable so have to wait to watch the episodes.

I wasn't thinking of a character going myself, but possibly parents. Sashu's parents, to be specific. Like if they wanted to visit family or something.
