Ah, updating all the drivers on a new computer, one of my favourite things. It's like tuning up the engine of a car before you take it for its first trip.

I wonder if RP'ing with a male character will allow me to break my old habit of making all my characters some variation on "break the cutie, then put her back together again."

Sometimes, I cannot internet. I try to be informative, I'm being an ass. I try to be friendly, I'm being an ass. I try to be casual, I'm being an ass. Everyone gets offended by SOMEthing right now, it seems (literally had someone offended when I said "I don't know what it's like in [place I don't live], but [stuff about America]", because apparently, that means I've put [place I don't live] as some flippant, out-of-touch nirvana in my thoughts. Uh, what?).
TARP (don't worry ;] ), occasional FB if someone messages me, art/work updates, and NaNoWriMo. Otherwise, I'm gone from the 'net.

Argh, drowning in class work! I swear I'll get to all replies ASAP. Which is hopefully today. Sorry everyone!

Anyone know when a physical Korra box set is due to hit? I already own the season digitally, but a physical copy would be nice, price permitting.

Sigh... I went to a friend's house last night; I haven't seen her in a month because of school and other problems. I play a bit of skyrim, waiting for my friend to wake up. She comes down and tells me that my brothers called me 6 times, but I didn't think much of it. I got another call while making lunch: Amelia, my little fuzzball of a hamster, died last night. :/

@ Airi - I'm sorry to hear that. :C How are you doing?

Fall always is a jumble of emotions for me, internet wise. On the one hand, SUPER PUMPED about the Carnival & NaNoWriMo. On the other hand, activity always seems to come to a slow-as-molasas pace this time of year. *sigh*.

Meh. I'm fine, I guess. A little sad, I guess, but she was looking rather sick before. Her back was humped up and she was limping a bit. I suppose it's for the better. I'm asking my friends (whose parents are breeders and know other breeders) for someone who can breed hamsters (or most specifically, teddy bead hamsters), preferably a baby one, or one rather youngish.

I'm sorry to hear that as well Airi. I hope you feel better soon.

Argh, must finish this Japanese paper. Then my replies shall appear! I also need a pretty signature. Yet more things to do! I really hope to kick up my activity. I've been so inactive this week.

My debate on going by Korra or SeoJin continues...
EDIT: Just curious, how does one stop being "Fresh Off The Boat", short of winning a competition? I don't mind of course, I just find it funny.

@korra - that's post count! I think once you hit 100 posts, it'll update to "tourist', and with each posting milestone you reach, you change ranks. :]
EDIT: *100 RP/Korra-related posts, that is. The General board, newbie board, etc have post count turned off. :] You can only increase post count by participating IC, in RP discussion, or talking about the series.

Wtf weather! You go from ~100's to ~50's, then back up to ~80's in the span of a WEEK?
STOP IT. PICK A TEMP AND STAY THERE. Jeezy creezy.

I'm home and I got to see her. She didn't look as bad as I thought she would have, but her cheeks were still stuffed with food I gave her the day before. She also looked a bit like she was sleeping. Well, now I have some closure.
I'm probably going to head off after dinner to PETCO to have them... you know. If I see the kind of hamster I'm looking for, I might get it, otherwise I'm going to talk to a friend whose dad breeds several animals and see if they have the kind of hamster I'm looking for. Maybe I'll get two hamsters.

I'm sorry to hear that Airi, but I hope you find the closure you are looking for. I will be thinking of you.

I never knew SeoJin was such a queen of monologues. She'll give stereotypical villains a run for their money.
I also can't wait to see this Korra and Bolin thread. Its hilarity waiting to happen. x3

Ugh, the week resumes tomorrow! Argh! I don't want it to resume.

^Haha, I'm glad you liked it. I just went total stream-of-consciousness, so I'm glad its not embarrassingly bad.
My Date reply will probably have to wait until tomorrow's eve. Its nearly the time of sleep for me, and then my day proceeds at a bagillion miles per hour, at least until the evening.

^Provided there is no really, really short deadline, feel free to send me a list! I'll do my best with at least a couple of ideas!

Grrr. Why do so many things give me headaches? Wearing glasses, sausage, motion sickness, crying, overly sweet food? So mannnny. Plus migraines. Ah XP

Thanks guys for your condolences. They really helped. What do you guys (those that have pets) do when they die?

Hmm, thats a tough question. The short answer is grieve. The long is I've only had a few pets, and I personally spend a long time between one passing and getting another. However, we all have different ways of grieving, and whatever is best for you is best for you.

Hmm, I'm satisfied with my current signature. Its not my strongest ever, but I like it. Sometimes simple is the best thing to do.
I simply cannot wait to read more about the guy quoted in my signature (Yoshida Shoin). I'm such a geek, but I love reading about people who were just incredibly... smart/wise? Oh hurry national library loan, hurry!
EDIT: I posted this and my previous post exactly 24 hours apart. I have a pattern.
