I wish I hadn't looked up the release date for "This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It" Now I'm too eager for it come out.

Turns out that intestinal blockage was to far in, so I had to euthanize my spider. It's been a rough weekend for sure.

Just re-watched some Korra, I love how the Metal Bender cops cleared that building like a SWAT team with their hands out in the fighting pose as they checked corners.

You know what I liked most about the original Yu-Gi-Oh series? Yami's voice actor. When he duels he just demands respect and every action pushes his moves over the top. Like when he used Dark Paladin against Kaiba (Even though his effects weren't completely correct in the show)

Watching awesome LoK AMVs has given me a monstrous craving to write a really hardcore fight scene.

How come people keep wanting to separate Korean names? When they're named Gil Ram In, for example, their surname is "Gil" and their given name is "Ra Im" — not just "Ra". There is no middle name in the Western sense.... I know Japanese names are more popular here by leaps and bounds but c'mon!


ETA: I realize most of y'all probably don't watch as many Korean dramas or follow as many Korean bands as I do ^^;;;;;

Zombi: I know I personally have no clue how Asian names work. Korean, Thai, and Chinese are especially difficult, because - from what I've learned - every name is supposed to be unique. It's not like you'll have a class with 10 "Jacob"s like you can in America. Along with that, it's hard to find Korean and Thai names. Japanese is easier to just plug into a translator and work magic. And then, it's hard enough to determine if/when middle names are applicable. (And then there's the question of whether, on an English-speaking forum, to put first names first or last names. People get confused. Like me lol =P )

0.02: Personally I really don't suggest putting names in a translator, because more often than not you'd get how the word would be spelled "with an Asian accent" (which is 99.9% of the time Japanese)

Also, I think, if people (here, or otherwise) are unsure about how to refer to a character, they should note how the creator speaks of them and take their cues from that.
