Age: 17
Appearance: Jin is about average in height, about 6'. He is thin, but muscular. He has short black hair that is often messy. He has dark blue eyes that appear almost black as well. His distinguishing figure is his scarred torso. He black burn marks that run up both of his arms, and around his back, as if someone had wrapped a burning chain around him...He often wears plain black clothes, black pants, and a longsleeved black shirt. He wears gloves, that have metal plates over the back of his hands. He appears skeletal but is actually well muscled. He is never caught without his chain, hanging off of his leg, ready for action.
History: Jin was a very spoiled child. His mother, Mishi, gave him anything he had wanted. She was very caring and loved Jin dearly. HIs father, Jang, was a drunk, and was a soldier in the army. He grew up in a small Fire Nation town near the capitol. He was very smart, and was learning to fight with swords along side his training in the arts of FireBending. But then, when he turned six, his mother dissapeared. No one knew what had happened to her. But Jin noticed that his father did not grieve very much. After that, his life took a downhill turn. His father beat him, and forced him to do everything around the house. He grew to hate his father but let his rage simmer in silence. When he turned eight, his father did the unthinkable. He branded Jin witha burning chain, wrapping it around his arms, and in an x shape on his torso. He almost did not survive, but miraculousy made it. His father said it was for his own good, that it showed him the true meaning of pain. His father showed him similar burns on his own arms, but it did not mean anything to JIn. He regained his strength over the next few years and finally, when he turned fourteen, he had had enough. In the night, when his father came home, drunk as usual, Jin waited. He gave his father a drink, unusual, but his father took no notice in his state. Jin left the house for the last time, taking only the clothes on his back, and the chain that his father used as a weapon, the very same that gave him his scars. He had trained with rope and other chains in the time alone when his father was gone and he was proficient with the weapon. He has been wandering for the last three years, going between the Fire Nation and its colonies in search of something. He doesn't know what it is, but he hopes to find something to make his life worthwhile. He takes on many odd jobs in his travels, from bounty hunting, to recovery jobs. His most recent job was recovering a rare Koi fish for a wealthy Fire Nation official. He now has more than just his chain to fight with. He has a large weight he can attach to the end of his chain, as well as a grappling hook, and a small blade. He rarely uses his firebending in the traditional way any more, now prefering to use it for such things as lighting fires. But don't think he won't firebend in a fight, because he will. He will wrap his chain around enemies and send fire along its length. He is currently in the colonies, near Ba Sing Sei...
Personality: Jin is a quiet person. He rarely talks and is often alone. He can be a very depressing person at times. Jin is a quick thinker and is rarely caught off guard. He is an intimidating figure though he isn't that large. He has no friends and doesn't see the need for any. He doesn't know which side of the war he is on, only that he'll be alone wherever her goes. He is spiteful and has a spark of rage in his chest that could burst at any time. He is cunning and enjoys testing others abilities. He is clam under pressure and rarely takes orders from anyone. He is in all senses, a loner, lost and confused in a world at war.
