Name: Tianli Paurtur

Age: 36

Appearance: Tianli is in a word, massive. Having an abnormal growth pattern, he ended up being almost a full seven feet tall, short by only an inch. He trains constantly, and as a result he is heavily muscled, making him even heavier then a typical person would be. Being 285 pounds of lean muscle, he finds it's best to wear just a sleeveless gi, but he has a few custom tailored shirts and one full gi. The gi he normally wears displays a number of abstract tattoos that weave their way across his body, even going up the back of his neck and unto the top of his clean shaved head. His pants are loose, but have small cords running through the bottom seem that allows him to pull them up and tie them above his knees to allow a better range of motion, or just a respite from heat. When ready for combat, he uses a pair of weapons. One is a nodachi, which he treats like a regular katana due to his greater size. The blade and hilt are proportionally longer to match him, measuring 13 inches at the hilt and 55 inches along the blade. The other is a large hammer attached to a 6 1/2 foot poll, making the weapon as long as he is tall. The only armor he wears are chain mail gauntlets that are backed by a pair of metal plates, one along his knuckles, and one along the back of his hand. The plate that covers the back of his hand extends out a short distance on pinky side of his hand, and is sharpened to a hard, if somewhat dull, blade.

History: Born to the priest family of Aridesir, he was the second child in the family, and as such wasn't required to study the workings of the temples as closely as his older sister had to. He never became very proficient in firebending, but he never had to, for even at a young age he was larger then the other boys of the village and showed a natural ability when they would wrestle and play. After it became apparent that he wasn't at all interested in helping his sister maintain the temple, she had him go out to find some way to aid the island in his particular fashion. He went out and spent a year building a dojo in the center of the island, about ten miles west of Pryazure. Since founding the dojo, Tianli has made yearly trips to each of the villages on the island, taking first orphans and then any who wished to learn. On his first trip around the island, he took in a pair of orphaned infinits, siblings, one year apart. He trained them to be his eventual assistants, but with the coming of the Galgori sixteen years later, he ended up quickly preparing them to completely take over the dojo. He will soon join the Galgori in their war against the corrupt benders.

Personality: A man of near opposites, he spends the vast majority of his time being jovial and free-spirited, taking challenges that normal people would never think of. The kind of man that wrestles bears and climbs mountains with just his arms while blindfolded, he gladly attempts any task set before him, so long as it involves his particular skills. However, when he fights, not spar or engage in combat with a lesser opponent that he thinks he can subdue, but fights to defend his kin or his beliefs, he is nearly insuperable. He isn't reckless, but he shows no mercy, and shows even less remorse for the actions he takes by what he sees as necessity.

Edit: Really screwed up the weight. Dropped it by about 100 lbs.
Edit #2: decided the weight wasn't quite that screwed up, and boosted it back up by twenty.
Edit the Third: Added another 20 to his weight. I can't help it, it's so hard to picture someone that size...
