The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Azula Application

Azula stood at the edge of a cliff, overlooking the Earth Kingdom, which the Fire Nation would soon her rule. Her father would rule this soon enough, and one day, she would rule it. The Fire Nation was superior in every way. They were the superior element, and they would triumph. Her country would not fail. Her father would not fail. She would not fail. They would all succeed, and Ba Sing Se and the Earth Kingdom would be theirs in not too long a time. Anyone who thought otherwise was a fool and only denying the inevitable. One day, they would world would be under the rule of the Fire Nation. The result was undeniably inevitable, as anyone would be able to see. She would capture the Avatar, her uncle, and her brother. The Princess would succeed where her brother had failed and more so.

Her brother… a weakling and a fool. Yes, he was older than she was, but she had always been the better of the two. When he struggled with basic things, she had already moved on to Intermediate or higher. At fifteen years old, she was one of the best Firebenders in the entire world, and the only one that she had ever heard of that used lightning and blue fire on a regular basis, but she did. She was a prodigy, who had been born lucky, as her father had told her. Yes, had she been lucky… The luckiest day of her life had been her brother’s banishment. She knew that as long as her brother was alive, he was next in line to be Fire Lord. However, after his banishment… there was no one else was there? It didn’t matter. It suited her better. Her fool of a brother didn’t deserve the honor. She was stronger than he was, faster, better, and smarter. Now, though, luck would have nothing to do with it…

The Fire Nation would not be lucky. It would not have anything to do with luck, just like her eventual capture of her brother, uncle, and the Avatar would have nothing to do with luck. Everyone who disagreed with the Fire Nation was a fool, like Zuko and his fiancé, Karena. They belonged together… both traitors, and she had heard rumors that Karena had given birth. Evidentially, she had been muttering about it when she had been captured along with Zuko and the Avatar. Wouldn’t her father be interested in that little piece of information… As for the Waterbender and Earthbender, along with the Shakhran’s son, they would be taken easily enough. Fool that Shakhran was for letting them escape, Azula was no fool, and she Ty Lee, and Mai would capture them easily enough. To think that they had managed to escape an entire battalion of soldiers… Shakhran would not fail again.

Azula made ready to leave. Their search had to continue. They had a very important mission to do, and prisoners that needed to be captured so that they could face their punishment. The whole would bow down before the might of the Fire Nation, and when Souzen’s Comet arrived at summer’s end, the whole would know the wrath of the Fire Lord. Finally, the entire would be under the control of the Fire Nation, as how it should be. Nothing less would be sufficient for her father, and for her eventually. Azula smirked with the thought that this would one day be hers, the entire would be hers to command. If anything was a pleasant thought to the fire-bending princess, it was that.

A gust of wind came by, and ruffled Azula’s hair. Gracefully, she straightened it back, putting it where it belonged. Her gold eyes surveyed the landscape as she thought of the best way to go. Yes, west was best, for now. The last rumor of the Avatar that the Princes had heard, he was headed towards Ba Sing Se, and Lakano and Akita could not have gotten far, considering the village that Shakhran controls with his troops is not far from Ba Sing Se. If Azula had her way, this would be short and sweet. Of course, they could surrender themselves. It would be easier on them, but then again, what fun would that be for her and her friends? None whatsoever.

I dunno... It just doesn't seem like azula. Personally, I think she isn't given to "it is our right" type things, or really much of this Fire Nation supremacy. I think this has too much arrogance for her personality, Azula isn't... She's more subversive, not as apathetic, and she threatens people, not just plots their downfall. "The Wrath of the Firelord" quote doesn't seem like her, she doesn't worship him, she resembles him yes, but I doubt she views him like you describe. Somehow the entire thing seems... Off. Actually, at the beginning she sounds like Zhao, and I think Azula and Zhao are the exact opposites as far as Fire Nation villains go. Also, Ba Sing Se, I believe, is on the far Eastern side of the continent.

I know I cannot affect this decision, but I just wished to state my measly opinion here.

Kochi - You're right in the fact that your opinion doesn't really matter here, but thanks anyway.
