As of today, there is a new "Report to Mod" feature at the bottom of every post. This feature is new from ProBoards, and is currently available to all members.
Member Use: Please use the Report feature ONLY to report posts that are in need of moderation - such as posts that do not follow the character count, a non-staff reply to a profile, a spam post in a thread etc. When reporting a post, please specify a reason, or your report will be ignored. Abuse of this feature will result in staff action, the severity of which depends on the severity of the abuse. Please do not use the Report feature for:
2. Personal Disputes :: The Report to Mod feature is not grounds for reporting people just because you have something against them; this feature does allow Moderators to discuss the reported post, and if no rule or TOS violation has occurred there will be no action taken. Anyone found to be misusing the Report feature will receive an automatic warning.
3. Differences in Opinion :: Similar to the above; everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. If you find you disagree with someone, then ... well, sorry. Everyone is entitled to have and voice their opinion. Obviously, if that opinion starts belittling others it's not tolerated and should be reported, but if it doesn't do so, no need to report.
4. Posts/Threads in need of Immediate Action :: Please still PM or IM an online staff member for these things. Note that one or two spam replies does not constitute "immediate" action.[/ul]
Moderator Use: Mods, you will see a new alert box (not pop up) appear at the top of the boards stating: "A post a board you moderate has been reported. Click here to view the report." You will be able to discuss the post with other mods, thereby eliminating the need to quote posts for moderation. To remove a post alert, we will have to move it into archive — please allow a core staff member to do so, so as to avoid confusion. There will now also be a 'warn member' option (both in the reported post, as well as in member's profiles), which does not require the ability to modify profiles. As such, if you need to issue a warning, you may do so without having to ask a core staff member to implement it for you. Please do not abuse this, or there will be serious consequences.
Thanks! Edit;; Feel free to report this post to test it out! xD
