Chapter 1
The Night of the Full Moon
It was a strangely cold spring day,and Katara, Aang, and Sokka were flying to the Fire Nation. Sokka was on his toes, ready to attack anything that moved. Everyone knew how he hated to go to the Fire Nation. But Aang had to learn fire bending, and his progress in Earth bending had been remarkable. Lust like Katara with Water bending. They soon stopped to rest at and oasis, where Katara could teach Aang more Water bending. "We should keep going," said Sokka,"the Fire Nation soldiers could show up any minute. "Just relax,Sokkka," said Katara as she showed Aang a move," The Fire Nation can't find us here." "Yeah Sokka,we should practice our fighting, for when we actually get to The Fire Nation," said Aang,in his consistently cheerful mood. "O.k," muttered Sokka, but something told him the Fire Nation was close. Later that night, they had found an abandoned hut near a waterfall. They decided to sleep there that cold night. But Sokka never slept, and it wasn't because they were at the border of the Fire Nation. No, he felt a strong presence in this hut,one that was strangely familiar. He then got up and looked outside. A full moon he thought, strange, very strange. Suddenly,a moon beam shot out of the sky. Sokka held his weapon in both hands, ready to strike. Where the moon beam hit the ground,a pattern in blue ink appeared. Upon closer inspection,he discovered that it was the insignia if the Water Tribe. Even more shocking, a figure had materialized in that spot. It glowed with moonlight, and calmness filled Sokka. Then the figure turned, with a beautiful pale face, deep blue eyes, and pure white hair. Only one word escaped from Sokka's shaking lips. "Yue."
