Okay, we have learned about Aang and how he got trapped in the ice berg. We have learned about Zuko and how he got banished. We have learned about Sokka and how his dad left. But what about... KATARA'S MOM? In The Swamp, Katara thinks that she is seeing her mom from behind, runs, toward the illusion, and starts sobbing when she realizes that it was only a stump. After this startling revelation, we HAVE to be learning about Katara's mom and how she died soon.

We already know the answer this. We find out early in the show (in the first 3 episodes). Katara and Sokka's Mom was killed when the Fire Nation attacked the South Pole.

Yeah, but we can still learn more. We already know that Sokka and Katara's dad went to fight in the Earth Kingdom, but we learned the specifics through his flashbacks. Maybe something of the sort will happen to Katara?

GggraaAAHhhh!!!! Stop talking about hotness and going off topic by talking about going off topic. Katara (the admin) might be offended if so one starts quoting "stay's mom as got it going on." The only thing that the illusion at the swamp gives us it that firm reminder that katara was close to her mom.
