I wouldn't bother arguing, there's shippers for every conceivable couple out there. There's people who want Zuko to be with Katara, Aang to be with Katara, Toph and Aang, Sakka and Toph, etc.

Best just to leave the subject of love in any of these shows well enough alone ^^;

yes, id have to agree with Kiriyama here in both his points. theres far too much kataang, zutara, soph? taang (heh) ? supporters who will stubbornly refuse to believe in any other relationship, making it dificult to have a decent conversation.

I belive that what Aang said to Katara in the Serpent's Pass ep was concerning their relationship as friends *dodges objects thrown by kataang fans* try thinking of it as more of an apology for not accpeting the advice she gave him earlier in the ep. also, lets not forget that Aang is still a kid, and a little naive...even though hes shown obvious feelings for Katara in earlier eps, im sure he doesnt spend every waking moment thinking of ways to woo her

I agree with Mr. Face. Aang is, what, 12? In my book, that's too young to get into a relationship. A crush?...well, maybe he can be forming a crush on a girl he's been traveling for a long time with. Besides, the show isn't about romance, its about him saving the world and whatnot. We have Sokka to be the big flirt. (I think Toph DOES like him, that would-be kiss? Pretty funny it ended up with Suki.)

I'd have to agree with what Mr. Face said though, that it was more along the lines of their friendship than anything romantic. Since "you" can be both singular and plural, conceivably he could have very well meant Katara, Toph, Sakka, etc.

Hmmm well I am the romantic type I guess. I dunno. It would be undescribably cute. ^_^ Whatever stupid heartleass romanticless Nickelodean wants to do. But actually alot of their shows have love...Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom. But Avatar has the most plot, I love it because its a wellthought out series. Ya know? But...i hope they finish the series. Or I will sue. =)

Zuko and Katara is just stupid. So is Toph/Aang (lol Tang) Sokka likes Yue, Suki, and about half the other girls in the world. Aang isn't going to end up with anyone else. Toph likes Sokka though. *is amused greatly*

I personally hate the thought of Katara and Aang because Aang is 12 (ok 112) and Katara is probably 14 maybe 15. That is what gets me the most. But with Katara and Zuko it is different because he looks 16 maybe 17. It is not that I dont like Aang with Katara, I just dont like the age difference. Plus Katara thinks of Aang as a good friend. She even said that in the one episode where Aang gave her the necklace. But, that is just my thoughts on the matter. Plus, a love that would be punished by the firelord would be absolutly funny!

Also BTW, we have no ideas for Katara's feelings in the second season. THe references brought up by you guys were in the first season. The second seasons there are more romantic twists and plots then in the first season. May I bring up "The Cave of Two Lovers" eppy plus we never hear what Katara says to Aang on a more personal level after he told her in "The Serpent's Pass"

I think Katara will develop a more serious thing for Aang, and he will nurture his crush, too. Also, in the episode "The Fortune Teller" Aunt Wu tells Katara she will marry a powerful bender. Zuko isn't really a powerful bender, he's just smart. Aang is, though.. So I think there will be some chemistry.

Azula - Firebending Prodigy, master of Blue Fire, and capable of using lightning
Fire Lord Ozai - Strongest Firebender
Aang - the Avatar, who's essentially the most powerful bender
Katara - Waterbending prodigy (they never say that, but gee, she's awarded the title of Master at FOURTEEN, so it's a given)

So he's pretty much only lost to prodigies and the Avatar. So it's a bit incorrect to say he's not a powerful bender. Remember, he DID beat Zhou two times out of two, he's skilled as hell with those swords, he wiped out those poor guys in Zuko Alone, he's beaten Katara once already, and oh yeah; so far any firebender other than Azula and Ozai has yet to beat him.

I really don't care who the hell Zuko winds up with, but seriously . . . 'not powerful' is way too far off for >.> ...

And since you're in the mood to reference the Fortune Teller episode: tell me, what was the original reading for Aang on the subject of love? I hope to god the jerks at Nick don't go and toss that out the window >.< ...

I agree, it is a toss up between Aang and Zuko since they are both pwoerful warriors and extremely capable benders. If you recall, Fortuen telling only directs itself into one thing adn Aunt Wu focused no the more important part of Aang's fortune which was the premise fo the show. However, due to the fact that I am a diehard Kataang fan, I am still clinging to the hope that Katara and Aang end up together
