Going on the assumption that Suki is now dead, killed by Azula (I can't imagine her giving up her Kyoshi Warrior's uniform any other way). Who now has suffered more, Zuko or Sokka?
Let's take a look. Zuko had his mother taken from his a young age, he was permanently scared and banished by his father, he's played second best to his younger sister his whole life, he's been hunted by his own people, he's been forced to live as a fugitive in a foreign land. All pretty bad stuff.
Now lets look at Sokka. Sokka also lost his mother, he's father and the other men of his tribe left him behind when they went off to fight in the war, he's been humiliated in battles countless times by Zuko, Suki, Jet, etc., he plays second fiddle to his younger sister who has become a waterbending master, he lost the woman he loved in the North Pole (Yue) and now he has lost the other woman he loved (Suki) to an insane firebender (Azula).
That last one may be the final straw that turns Sokka from a generally happy-go-lucky sort of guy to a dark-brooding guy. With Zuko undergoing a spiritual metamorphosis, he may become a somewhat happier person while Sokka may become an angrier person. This may be the intention of the creators in order to maintain a balance in the show, so while Zuko becomes a good guy and a member of the team, Sokka becomes a loner, only out for revenge against the person who killed his love.

Well, focusing on past up until now, I don't hesitate to say that Zuko has suffered much more than Sokka. I'm not realyl worried Yeah, Sokka has had his dramatic moments, but one thing's for certain, he always had the Aang gang always on his side as the ultimate support as opposed to Zuko who had always distanced himself from well society. Though Iroh is the only person he really cares about, he's distanced himself from Iroh plenty of times as well. And with all that lonliness can lead to a lot of self-beating and haunting inner turmoil.
But I am optimistic that Zuko will be a step closer to enlightenment later on; the future will be brighter for him.

You have got to be kidding me. The answer is obviously ZUKO!!!! I mean, have you ever had second degree burns? Obviously not, or you wouldn't be saying this!!! (sorry, don't mean to be mean, or induce a pity fest for myself with these comments that I will be posting) Not even half a year ago, I accidentally spilled a pot of tea on myself at a restaurant. 18% of my body was burned with 2nd degree burns. I was out of school for about 3 weeks, give or take. Life sucked then, but I pulled through it. My legs are almost permanently scarred, and I can't wear shorts for a year since it happened. (still can't) Zuko has suffered WAY more than Sokka. Don't mean to post a sob story here, though.

I would have to say Zuko by far. Sokka's father is still alive and Sokka is going to visit him. Zuko has been banished from his home by his own father while Sokka still has a father that loves him. I personally think that Zuko has suffered more than anyone in the entire show.

Zuko for sure. Sokka still has his sister Katara and his father. While Zuko mother had disappeared and he hates his sister Azula. His own father banished him from his home and gave him that scar.

Both are pretty incredible and things i'd probably hate for the rest of my life because of their happening.
Zuko's suffering
~Mother fled
~Sister owns him practically
~Fugitive
~Banished by his own father
~Azula wants to kill him
~Can't fire bend in Earth Kingdom without having to go into secrecy
~Carries a nasty scar
Sokka
~Can't Bend.
~Lost his father
~Had his tower destroyed in the beginning of the show (lol ya the first few episodes XD)
~Easily defeated by the Kyoshi.
~Had to dress up like the Kyoshi warriors to learn from them
~Even after the training got defeated by Ty Lee like nothing
~People think less of him because he can't bend
~sucks with weapons period pretty much lol
~Lost Yue to a stuck up idiot then he lost her for sure as she became the moon spirit
~Lost Suki which he thought of as the only one he could go back to
~Always being picked on because of his lack of bending
List is pretty interesting in my opinion

@ Suyami - I'm sure that having one's heart broken, twice, is worse than a burn, at least when its not like what you suffered but just a burn around the eye. (How bad could Zuko's scar really be. I mean, it blankets a corner of his face but he can still see through that eye.)
Still, despite that, I think Zuko has suffered the most. After all, his entire life seems to be one long trail of suffering. Overshadowed by his sister when he was young, losing his mother early in life, banished also very early in life. He's been constantly hunting the Avatar since then in a seemingly futile attempt to regain his lost honor. Even if he does get his honor back, he only has a father like Ozai to go back to.
Sokka's father might have left early on to go fight the Fire Nation, but he's still had his family back home to comfort him and you can't keep an attitude like his if you're miserable. He would have turned out more like Zuko. The lost love thing was probably pretty hard, but he's moved on and has friends (as well as a list of other girls he can turn to <.<) to comfort him. In any case, he takes things seemingly in stride while Zuko bottles everything inside.

Zuko has, hands down. Sure he may be going through a metamorphosis, but he still has been through way too much for Sokka to even come close to his suffering. Also, Zuko's recent decision in the finale may cause him even more suffering, pushing him to even higher regions than Sokka may ever reach.

Zuko. No doubt its Zuko. But just barely, if not for the whole exile, face burned, mother gone and father hates him I might have voted for Sokka. Some of oyu guys are forgetting the cactus juice incident, and..... yeah thats pretty much it.
