The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Note that this poll was created in between the second and third season- Characters that recur in the third book are still here.

I put all the ones that appeared in only one episode.

I'm gonna have to hand this one to June, though Jeong Jeong comes in a close second for me.

June was one kick butt bounty hunter, confident, cool, and sarcastic. I love anyone that will call Zuko "Angry Boy" and Iroh "Uncle Lazy." She just exuded confience. Although I would've liked to see more of her actual skills rather than just employing her shirshu to do the work, I still think she was a very charismatic and interesting one shot character. Her moments with Iroh were the best too.

Jeong Jeong gets a nod because, well, he's one of the only 'good guy' firebenders they've shown. He's a master, but is so full of self loathing and eccentricities. There's a lot to him that they never covered in his episode. Being given the rank of the 'first man ever to leave the Fire Nation and live' has got to be a real accomplishment, and I would have loved to know the circumstances of his departure.

So yeah, Jeong Jeong comes in real close, and gets points for fighting without the aid of an animal companion. But June gets points for her sarcasm and better fashion sense. :)

Edit: @ Katara: I always thought it was spelled without the 'e' but all the 'official' things I've seen with her in them had it spelled with an 'e' at the end. The Avatar site at nick.com has the same thing (though, I think the site should be more accurate than it is). So, I just went with it. Please to be no more yellings. O_o

Gotta agree with Ai Lin on this one. Jun is such an amazing character (THERE'S NO "E" ON HER NAME!!!), and I too would've loved to see her hand-to-hand/weapons skills, rather than just Zen doing all the work.

I loved the cute little crush our beloved Iroh had on her, and his "pretend stunning" to be able to hold her in his arms.

Zuko: "But Uncle, you weren't —-"
Iroh: "Shhhhhhhhhhh!"

Sarcasm = awesome, and I may be biased to Halaku's portrayal of Jun, and Nanashi's involvement with her, but Jun rocks my .... feet...as I'm not wearing socks.

EDIT: Bah, can't seem to vote. What idiocy.

I left it ambiguous. Note the parenthesis. And as for not voting, some spirit (either Koh or Wan She Tong) won't let you vote for a pithy mortal. (La and Tui appeared in two episodes, so they aren't written here).

My personal favorite, and who I voted for's words don't match his... Beak. He is Wan She Tong, the great knowledge spirit. He is awesome- I envy Profesor Zei, spending an eternity in a vast library- I wonder what'll happen to him when Wan She Tong finds him. And he tried to eat Sokka! Yee! Furthermore, he's an owl. He turns his head around and looks at people. Plus his wuotes. "If you're going to lie to an all-knowing spirit, at least put some effort into it," or "You're not very bright, are you?" and how could I forget "You'd better leave the way you came, unless you wish to become stuffed head of anthropology." That's why he's awesome. Not to mention omniscience! *huggles* *is eaten*

Hands down, I'd vote Jeong Jeong. I think he was well-made and well-played in the series. He had an interesting appearance and role and while his appearance was brief, it certainly was a good one.

I personally think Commander Zhao, although not on this list, was really the most impressively put together character. Very well done, in my opinion. So arrogant, so straight-forward, so vile.

Jun is number 1. I'm sorry, but it just goes unsaid that she could kick everybody elses, erm, butt. She needs to be on again. Yes.... She can push Katara and Zuko together.

I mean.... Heh. Well, Jun definetely kills. She needs to become a major character, no doubts there.

My opinions concerning Jun-

1. "Other Skills". Every one of you wanted to see her other skills, but the fact is, June is just a beastmaster. She herself can't fight, and Zen does all the work. There are no other skills, unless you count being able to jump onto Zen's back and ride him. What, do you think she's a ninja or something?

2. Sarcasm. Okay, I get it that you like sarcasm, but honestly, I think Zuko would have hit her or something if she hadn't had power over Zen, and I would have cheered him on. This personality of hers reminds me of Toph, whom I also think is stupid, arrogant, and-- and-- female doggish.

3. "Fashion Sense". Whatever, she wears black. Woo.

No one voted Koh? Come on... Also, who voted Azulon? I want to know why! *nodnod*

My vote is for Ursa.

Reasoning: She shows us a kinder side of the Fire Nation that only a few had previously touched upon. She gave us insight into what drives Zuko and it was nice to see that he was not raised solely by his power-crazed father. I also like the way that she carried herself — Secure without being conceited, motherly, yet at the same time very stately as her position would demand. I definitely want to see more of her, and in particular learn what her fate was after she left Zuko. I am hoping she simply was exiled and not executed. :'( I also would like to see what it was that brought her into marriage with Ozai... I'm thinking it HAD to have been an arranged marriage. LOL

Copper for your thoughts. :)

How is it Chong has so far recieved only my vote? I mean come on, Hippy power! He may not be high, but he is still like the most hilarious non-recurring character in all of the series so far!
Him and Sakka had such hilarious moments together, and even on his own he was so funny to watch and listen to. Also, you gotta love his spontanious music abilities, as well as his general attitude to life!

Chong Power!

I have to say Jeong Jeong the deserter. He just reminds me so much of a kung fu master with all his sayings. He is also one of the stronger firebenders it seems, I have not seen any of the other fire benders go and make a wall of fire =P

Also gotta like him just for some of the seriousness that he smacks down on Aang. As well as his teaching method which Aang described as "He just leaves me alone for hours the concentrate or breath!"

Yes, he did a very nice job of distractiong Aang so that he could take a nap XD

Though I vited Jeong Jeong I have to say that had you put Bumi I would have voted him, I mean come on! Who doesn't like the Old Mad Genius!?
