Do you think that Jet died? You never see him get hit, but it obviously had to be pretty powerful. He seems like he is gonna live, but then Toph says, "He's lying." I personally really hope that Jet doesn't die, and I don't think he did.

Your opinions.

That was Toph who said he was lying. But Jet doesn't really know if he'll be okay. I think he will be okay, just come back when we least expect it. Smellerbee probally likes Jet, and if Jet is gone we'll get to hear of a sad Smellerbee.

I really doubt he and or Suki died. Maybe Haru will come along next, and then we'll get to think HE died. Jet is a favorite of mine, he is nice and troubled like a kinder version of Zuko. ((SPOILER)*Curse him for taking over Ba Sing Se with Azula!*) But he may or may not come back, I hope he does. Jet is strong and I think he can pull through.

I really don't think Jet died, because if he did they would have shown him dieing instead of keeping us on sapence (sp?) on if he died or not. And like Dereni said, Toph was the one that said he was lying ;D. Some how I think he'll come back in another episode in the future, >< I've been watching alot of anime and it's usually like that, so let's hope it is the same with Avatar.

In my personal opinion, I think that Jet died. Just the way the story went at that point, where toph said he was lying about being okay. Jet had to have known it was his time and that is when he signalled longshot to put him out of his misery. They probably didnt show it because of the kiddies that also watch this show. Jet is a warrior and it was poetic that his men would put him out of his misery.

I personally think that Jet will be living but not exactly up for anymore fighting because from the looks of what had happened, i'd say that the rock cracked his chest real good but didn't kill him.
I guess i just don't know but i sure hope he doesn't/didn't die because he's my in my top 3 favorite characters... and the hook swords are a plus ^_^
But seriously i really want to believe that he is still alive.

But that's just hard to belive with all the given information. And Itsuki has a point, because the show's intended audience was kids ages 6-11. One could back up that they DO show death on the show with the topic of Princess Yue, but her death was a soft one, not bloody or anything. It could be the gore. Either way, the evidence all points to Jet is dead. If he's found alive in season 3, then I'd babble like an idiot for 5 minutes.

As much as I would like to see you babble as an idiot, I think you are completely right. Jet and his men are fighters. When a warrior is in pain and cannot go on, he is put out of misery, to end the suffering. I can say with absolute postivity that we will not see Jet anymore, he always kinda bugged me anyways. I mean, how could you explain longshot getting ready to shoot him anyways.
