Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Possibly a "Tyru" Ship?

Okay, I've always had this crazy ship... Ty Lee and Haru!

Think about it. Haru is very nice, kind, but also an awesome bender, and extremely brave. He's deep and emotional, but has no trouble expressing it. He is obviously not shy around girls, but he's not over-doing it or tripping all over himself. Ty Lee is the pretty, preppy, attention-wanting girl in the show. Haru would be able to listen to her blabber on for hours, and he'd give her attention but won't be all "look at my muscles."

I think that if when the GAang goes back and meets up with them, Haru could see Ty Lee or vice versa. It could happen! This is the ship I most support, mainly because I came up with it, and because I think it would be awesome. I don't support many ships, anyway, though. Only Kataang, Azumi (Azula & Bumi), and Tyru! =]

Schooltime shipping.

I'd rest my case, but there's a post minimum.

I agree. This ship makes sense, except they're on the wrong side of the war. (Coincidentally, this argument is also what I have against SokkaTy Lee, or Ty Lokka.) Unlike Mai or Zuko, Ty Lee's almost blind adoration of Azula basically trumps any serious (serious for Ty Lee, at least) thought of dallying with the "Enemy" (Aang and Co.). So... Maybe I don't really agree. It makes sense in an AU type setting, but in the show itself... I'd probably say it's pretty unlikely.

Well, I don't quite agree with Honoo. I really don't think that "the other side of the war" theory applies. After all, it has been more than hinted at that Ty Lee has a crush on Sokka. Since she's done little to hide it, Azula probably doesn't mind all that much as long as it doesn't interfere with Fire Nation plans. In addition, Mai and Zuko are obviously an item, but Zuko has now switched sides. I think that the relationship will stay throughout the series, although Mai will probably betray Azula in the end. So it is plausible for Ty Lee to switch sides too.

Now that I really consider it, I think it really could happen. Sokka's taken, of course, by Suki/Toph, and Ty Lee doesn't seem like the type of person who would have a crush on a single person for a very long time. So maybe she will see Haru (with his super shmexy mustache) and have a crush on him, too.

But I don't think Haru will like her unless/until she actually switches sides.
