Hey, last night after watching The Library, I had a thought. Well, first I was wondering if they should be in their own bending category, but then decided to classify them under earth benders. But when I was watching Aang bend the sand ship or whatever it is called, I made the connection! Sand benders=Air benders! I mean, think about it. Some of them were covered up in all these rags, to hide the arrows. It wouldn't be that hard to stir up a bit of sand when bending air into the sail, and nobody seemed to question Sand benders, they were just another bender. So, who is to say they aren't Air benders in disguise?

hmmmmm qood question. but i doubt they are air benders in disguise. i mean it has been 100 years since the last air bender was seen.. (besides ang).and that a pretty long time.

That is probably not true.... I think they are earth benders who have adapted to the flimsiness of sand...

Yes, I agree with Sorax.
I think that they bend the sand to make air so the ship would sail. If you can remeber back to The Chase when Aang, Toph, Katara, and Zuko all attcked all there moves looked very similar and they were from all four of the nations. I think that some of the bending moves are similar in some type of way.

i agree with sorax also they just are earth benders who bend sand at high speed to create air for their ships.
