Earth has magnetic currents no? so can Earthbenders like magneticly snap bones or othe magnetical stuff?

unlikely because that would deal with electricity in a sense and earth benders have no control with electricity. They can fight with magnatism yes, but not bend magnatism to fullfill their need or wish.
If they had control with magnetic powers they could easily topple the fire nation and the use of steel and iron

Ditto to what Hieu said.
Plus the source of the magnetic field is the molten iron around the earth's center, and earth benders can't bend iron (a metal)

control bones? eh....bones have nothing to do with magnetism....
while there is iron within our body i did not know there was iron in our bones. What bone is made up of is Calcium Phosphate primarily so how would that tie in with magnetism?

Darn near anything can be controlled magnetically if it's exposed to a strong enough magnetic field, I believe... however it would be impossible to tear bones apart, as far as I know. It would be far more likely that the nerves in someone's body would be affected before bones, because nerves work by electron conduction and magnetic fields control electrons. And of course the brain works by nerves, so a strong enough magnetic field could possibly kill a person.

^^disagree on the everything be controlled to magnetism, agree on the nerve system tho.
Really not everything is affected by magnetic fields. Ever try putting a bouncy ball to the world's most magnetic element? i have nothing happens. My chemistry teacher had a pair of two round balls that were made of the most magnetic material on earth, ill get the name if u need.
I don't think anything can be control magnetically just certain metals

Are you guys talking about how Earthbenders can Stick to the earth and vice versa? or are you talking about if earthbenders can control magnetism...
Magnetism: A force of a magnet pulling on a metallic object... BONES AREN'T METALLIC
Earthbenders can control the earth to stick to them if you're wondering...

Toru we are talking about magnetism itself. And like i said before last i checked bones were made of calcium phosphate not iron or some mineral that has magnetic properties.
I stand by what i said strongly

I might possibly be wrong about everything being controlled by magnetism, though logically almost everything should be... salt, for example, is non-magnetic, right? But it''s held together (Na+ and Cl-) by electrostatic attraction. If the electron domains all suddenly lined up (the definition of a 'permanent' magnet), as far as I know the compound would either fly apart but remain as ions (not so likely) or separate into metallic sodium and gaseous chlorine.
Here's where my memory gets very sketchy: There's a difference between paramagnetism and diamagnetism. Ferromagnetic magnets are diamagnetic while some things are paramagnetic (caused by abnormal electron configurations, like that of liquid oxygen). Possibly bones could be paramagnetic but it's doubtful.
To get back to the original topic, as far as I know Earthbenders can't control magnetism.
