A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Sorry, I don't know of any place. You can search the internet, though, and see, by going to Yahoo! Search or something.

This is bordering on spam, though, as the thread is about what attracted you to the show, so this should be moved to the Rant and Rave Thread in the General Board or over PM's.

The whole idea of the bending/martial arts used for it, the introduction and the characters caught my eye right away, and then..I became an Avatard. o__o you get it.

Well, I saw a commercial and thought it was a movie and I though cool but it looks too much like Xiolen Showdown (I think it's a cool show but another remake of it would be too much for me). I thought it looked like anime like Inuyasha but I didn't think it would be as great. By was I wrong. I wasn't planning on seeing it but I visited my cousins and I watched it with them. It was amazing. I was much more darker than I expected but it still had hilarious moments and the funny moments weren't ones that tried to make you laugh, they just did on their own.

At first I was creeped out by it, and I planed on not watching it, but then I had a friend over while I was with my dad and he forced me to watch it, then I thought it was really cool ;D

Sen - That's always attracted me more. How they can incorporate serious and funny with the storyline. The storyline's so deep, which makes the show so much better than any Nickelodeon has done.

Shijin - You were creeped out by Avatar? How could you be creeped out by Avatar?

All of the above, I'm into things like this I saw the commercial and saw the firebenders, I'm a pyro so that sparked it. Seeing the show I like airbending too but the fire is what made me watch drawn to it like a moth.

The first time I laughed on Avatar was when the Uncle forced the whole ship to go back because he had lost his game piece thing and when Zuko looses his ship, the Uncle pulls out the piece and realized that he had it the whole time. I cracked up so hard. That situation has been used so many times in cartoons but this situation made me laugh.

It's exactly what I'm saying. You can laugh and cry while watching this show. I felt a few tears coming down while watching the episode about Zuko and Aang's past. Aang reluctantly admits that he turned his back on the world and is furious that he ran away from his home. I felt terrible when Aang's life changed after he found out he was the avatar. He's just like a kid though. He didn't really understand what it meant to be the avatar until his daily childhood changed. Then there's Zuko. Even though he's safe fighting with the firebenders, he's still threatened by his father. We see that Zuko is really just as noble as Aang when he refused to fight his father.

When I first saw the commercial, I was thinking it was going to be dumb. It came on once and I was forced to watch it with my sister, I didn't like the first episode that much, but once I saw Katara do more waterbending and Aang learning the elements I though WOW. It was pretty much when they got more into the show, like later on, taht i reeally started to like it.

Like other people, I thought this was going to be another shallow, hollow Nick show. I watched it a few times, and it just grew on me, it was kind of cool. And of course now I'm an addict... ::)

I've already said how I got into it, but I want to add how I got my mom hooked: Well, after I watched the first episode ("Warriors of Kyoshi Island"), the next time I talked to Kanea, I told her how cool it was, and, of course, she already knew about it. I think I got her more hooked, though, because I know that she hadn't seen all the episodes, and she has now, because of my DVR.

Anyway, I told my mom about it, and she agreed to give it a shot, and I had 2 eps by that time, I think ("Warriors of Kyoshi Island", and "Imprisonment") and after she watched them, she agreed that they're cool, and now she watches them, too! ;D

I first watched it by accident. Cos' I was bored...and it was a hot day, so I just turned it on to Nickelodeon and started watching Avatar. I found it pretty cool and I was talking to my sister about it for a very long time and she was so fed up, she left the room! That was probably one of the times I went crazy over Avatar.
