0I always assumed that the tatoo's where do to him being the avatar, for the most part the fact he is the only one that has tatoo's like that all, annnnnd they glow when he goes like all beserk avatarish lol.

Let me clarify: The Tattoos signify that he is a Master AIR Bender.

I'm not saying you are, I'm just wondering why HE has them, and had them even in the flashback scene, surely he isn't born one, not to mention, THEY GLOW WHEN HE GOES LIKE AVATARISH! lol, that still seems freaky.

What do you mean by "surely he isn't born one". Born a Master Airbender? No. The reason why Aang was the only kid with the tattos was because he was the only kid that had Mastered Airbending, which was probably due to the fact that he's the Avatar. He has more natural power than others, and learns quicker.
