I would say Teo's dad, except that he wasn't alive 100 years ago. Hmmm.... remember the hot air balloons? I guess that the Fire Nation got something a little like that and used it. Hmm....

i think they might've led a grueling march up the mountain in which the South. Air Temple sits on, or they could've confiscated a few bisons themselves. Something must've happened.

And the Fire Nation DOES have dragons if you want to stretch the possibilties... Heck, Hanibal crossed the Alps with elephants, troops on foot attacking an unfortified structure is fairly easy in comparison.
Let's not talk about traitors. That's a fic waiting to happen.

You know, ever since I saw that show, I have wondered and wondered and wondered about this, and I still have no answer to my question. A traitor is possible, but there were a lot more troops that one person could bring up. So, they would had to find another way up there.

what I though they might have done is tied a large blancket like thing around each soldier, then Afiko would use airbending to launch each one up and onto the temple. THe only problem it requires so much effort.
Then again they could have just climbed with hooks and stuff.

I heard that we will know the answer as we follow the book 2. But what I think about that is: In the second book, there's a new member. Affo the betraider. He was an air member so maybe he betraid the air nomads to be safe

I've read his bio, too. He's dead. He did betray the airbenders because he was jealous of Aang. End of story. Somehow, the Fire Nation got up there. Just as Halaku said, Hannibal crossed the Alps with elephants. Are you sure it was the Alps? I think it was the Himilayas. Anyway, there was a traior. they got up there and took over the air temple. So sad.
THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED!!! *messes around with Sokka's detective hat*

It was the Alps... Or at least in Rome: Total War it was. But by that time, Hannibal was a bug to my mighty kingdom and elite troops, but anyway.
I wonder if the airbenders were like quakers, if they believed in peaceful affairs rather than battles...

Most likely sonce their whole bending stuff is based on evasing and dodging and stuff.
