Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

Okay here is the screenshot I will point out the four avatars before Aang!

Okay If someone could tell me how to post a pic. from my computer I will post pick of the avatars, I think you already know who they are though, those of you who have seen "The Avatar State"!!! ;D

Okay, it goes Aang, Roku, Kyoshi

Then I am going to name the next two!

Waterbender = Pato (combination of Bato and Paku)

Airbender = Samosan (I don't know just a random name)

Notice that the airbender has an arrow on his head, but he actually grew his hair out very long, what a balla!!

ENJOY

i think those are the only names given in the entire series. the only possible place i could guess where you would find all the names would be the southern air temple. When Aang and Company went to the temple which activated the Avatar statues. That would be where my money would be placed to find the names. Any other Avatars before hand were not given.

As for your new names. I guess lol

Indeed.

To post an image you have to have it online, stored in some photo storage place online such as PhotoBucket.com, and you will have to enter the code with [ img ] url.com [ /img ]

Meanwhile. Your new names are rather interesting, I will admit, but just so you know the waterbending master of the current age is Master Pakku. I do not think that the makers of the Avatar series are intending to reveal too many of the names of other avatars, as their names are not as important as the fact that they existed and are accessed when Aang gets in the Avatar State.

It's possible that perhaps the names of the avatars are listed in chambers in ALL of the temples, eh?

Hold on, people. There are no names posted in any temples. The only way the Avatars know their names is because they recognize their past lives. Southern Air Temple...

Aang: That's Avatar Roku.
Katara: How do you know? I don't see a name posted anywhere...
Aang: I don't know... I just... Know!

So therefore, there is no way to know the names of any Avatar's by just going to thge temples.

I'm wondering why the southern Air Temple had the avatar alter. It's not like it's the center for all avatar-related activities. Does this mean that similar shrines and alters exist in all four nations or are the air benders just a little self center about how it was their turn?

Well, there are things we need to clarify here:

The previous airbender avatar was a GIRL and that's why we can see her hair. Boys shave their head from front to rear whereas girls only shave the front of their heads so we can see their tattoos (it's written on nick, com, on Wikipedia, and in AvatarSpirit too, I think)

There's no writing on the statues in the Southern AirTemple (apparently). And the speech between Aang and Katara was:
Aang: That's Avatar Roku. The Avatar before me
Katara: How do you know his name ? There's no writing.
Aang: I don't know. I just sort of.... know it
And then Sokka says sarcastically: "You couldn't get any weirder !"

And the fact that the Southern Air Temple has statues about the cycle is simple. The Airbenders are all monks so they know things about the Avatar Spirit. The monks have a spiritual culture, so they know about the Avatar. I don't know how to explain this... You know like the monks in the real world believe in God and all. It's the same. And since the four nations have spirituality, they must have temples like the Air Nomads, with statues too, certainly.

"The Black Earth Spirit has spoken !" ;D (Sorry, it has written itself, I didn't do anything...)

LOL Thanks for clearing that up guys, I'd forgotten about the dialogue.

I believe in the case of the Air Nomads, it would be feasible (but obviously not mandatory) to assume that all four of their temples would in some place have the statues of the past Avatars. In the case of the other nations, as in Avatar Roku's statue in the Fire Temple which Aang and Co visited, specific temples were made for specific avatars. I thought there was supposed to be something for Kyoshi as well... and I believe I heard something about another earthbending avatar and his/her temple. Maybe. I could be wrong.

well, in "the southern air temple," four things happen when aang activates the avatar state. I couldnt find the video so i dont no the exact order. 1. it shows all the statues light up in the temple. 2. it shows a mural in an earth kingdom shrine and spots light up and a man is sitting in front of it 3. a water tribe temple lights up 4. avatar roku's temple lights up

in the case of kyoshi, there was a shrine in honor of her in the episode "avatar day." within it were her fans, boots, and robes

Yeah, I know about the Earthbending Avatar and his temple. That's the one I added in my RP, it's the Earth Temple I was talking about, Taed. And Avatr Kyoshi was on that wall too, if you look carefully. She's painted in yellow and kinda orange, and she is raising her foot with a fan above her head, just on a rock. The Water Tribe Temple hasn't been seen yet, and personally I don't think it'll ever be shown. Unless there's something really important about the Avatar that we must absolutely know, then the creators will certainly show that temple if there's something we need to see inside it. The Earth Temple too, for the same reason (or for something having to do with Earthbending...)

"The Black Earth Spirit has spoken !!" (Hey !! Stop writing this !! It's weird !!)

Wow...... The girl airbenders shave the front of their heads, too? That is SOOOOOOO weird. If I was an air bender girl, I would NOT shave my head..... Under ANY circumstances. Anyhow, I don't think we know of any of the other Avatar's past names, but maybe we will eventually find out in the show.
