Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

My perfect ending to the show: Azula defeats the avatar, and her father. Of course after defeating Iroh, she herself becomes the new fire lordess. However, outraged by her activity Jeong Jeong returns and there is the biggest fire fight ever!!!!!!!! Jeong Jeong and azula end up killing eachother in an atomic explosion. The last part of the episode ends with Zuko taking over and ending the war!!

And the famous last shot of the whole seies shows Katara having a baby, less than a week after the avatars death, and his eyes start to glow!!! Oh snap!!!!

Thoughts??

Not really in it for a few reasons

1) since ang is the last airbender he has to teach someone to airbend at some point to ensure the airbending does not die out
2) atomic explosion? a bit far fetched but okay
3) who would be katara's husband?

i do like the part about zuko ending the wra because if it goes the way it is now. Zuko will finally be kind hearted having been a fugative of the fire nation living in the earth kingdom and understanding all the pain the war has caused.

those 3 points are my only concerns, but good nonetheless.

yea the atomic explosion was over the top!!

Honestly I could care less if airbending dies out because in my opinion it is the most pointless element, the best thing is that you can fly but other than that, Ty Lee can move like aang, and she is just flexible!

Also, I honestly think that the avatar might be able to just learn the elements with out a master, because honestly who needed Katara or toph to be like aang move the water or rock. Besides aang just moved the water by looking at the scroll of waterbending.

Oh, and obviously katara and Zuko have a baby! Would it be possible for a water and fire nation baby to be able to do both. Has anyone ever had a mixed baby??????

Airbending isn't pointless because it serves the balance. in Chinese culture there is always the positive and the negative and in airbending's case earth bending and air bending are opposites like ying and yang.

good point, good point i just personally don't enjoy it as much as the others it just doesn't seem powerful, however it does provide with strong defensive attacks. Fire just seems to have no defense, but is clearly the most powerful.

Exactly wind is quite defensive and more of a knocking technique, but the reason we don't enjoy it probably is because the lack of variaty in the airbending presented.

Most we see is swing the staff and air goes, air scooter, and forward air blast, there isn't much that we see unlike water bending and the ice, earthbending and the different variations with rocks, and firebending with lightning

ANYWAY

back on topic.
My ending would be Lord Ozai is killed by the avatar who masters all the elements, Azula runs into hiding after her father is killed, Zuko is crowned king, Aang and company return to the Air temples to see that old guy in the episode with appa.

The War ends and the next Saga would be a fight against Azula who still commands half the Fire nation military in secret. Her power is obviously growing and always will grow and she will eventually become a threat and her goal would be to kill Zuko.

...yeeaaah...because nothing says "victory" like nuclear winter.

Aside from that, same points as Hieu. With the exception that she would in no way have to kill Iroh to claim the throne, as he has officially been declared a traitor and therefor is no longer an heir.

That, and you're a little off your rocker for thinking you could have a secondary character like Azula kill the MAIN character of the show. Personally, I don't like Aang, but even I know there'd be a lynch mob outside Nick Studios if they killed him off so easy.

Airbending, not that powerful?? ::)

Okay, let's look back:

In Fortuneteller, Aang uses AIRBENDING to save the village from a river of lava. (Seems like pretty powerful stuff to me)

In The Storm, Aang uses AIRBENDING to save the gang and the old fisherman from drowning in the ocean during the storm. (pretty impressive stuff)

In The Avatar State, Aang uses AIRBENDING to make an inverted twister and devastates the earth kingdom fortress. (some pretty scary stuff)

Sure, manipulating air may not seem as flashy as chucking rocks or starting a forest ablaze but it is still very powerful.

Okay, back to the subject of the thread. My ideal ending would be ( and by the way, I'm writing a fanfic entitled Destiny that will tell this story):

Team Avatar finds a way to avoid the disastrous effects of the comet and three years later, joined by Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko and Iroh, Aang leads an army of Earth Kingdom and Northern Water Tribe soldiers to the Fire Nation for one final and decisive battle.

In the course of the battle, in the Royal Palace, Sokka kills Tai Li, Azula kills Iroh and Zuko kills Azula using the technique Iroh taught him. Mai is about to kill a battered Zuko but staring him in the eyes, her old feelings for him rise up and she surrenders to him instead.

Toph leads the earth kingdom army in driving the fire nation army to the sea where the water tribe army finishes them off.

Meanwhile, Aang is getting his butt kicked by the Fire Lord. Katara tries to help him and saves him from being killed but is nearly killed herself by the Fire Lord. This drives Aang into the Avatar State and he destroys the Fire Lord with a devastating attack that uses all four elements.

Half of the fire nation army is destroyed but they are still willing to fight to the last man until Zuko appears with the aid of Mai and Sokka and declares himself Fire Lord and the war over.

Aang takes Katara's badly burnt body to the North Pole where the healers work on her for weeks. Her injuries are all healed in a matter of weeks but she is still in a coma. Aang never leaves her side. In desperation Aang travels to the spirit world to seek help. He finds it and Katara is revived.

Aang is overjoyed and declares his love to Katara once again (he did it for the first time back at the final battle at Ba Sing Se), but Katara tells him that while she loves him she cannot be with him but will not tell him why. While still in the North Pole, Katara sneaks into Aang's quarters and spends one night with him then disappears into the night.

Aang is heartbroken over her disappearance and goes off searching for her. In his journeys, Aang meets old friend, and old enemies. King Boomi is training his young successor, Toph. They had seen Katara some weeks ago but she left long before Aang arrived. Zuko and Mai ( now married ) along with an army of fire nation engineers are helping rebuild earth kingdom towns and villages. Zuko says he saw Katara briefly but she was very secretive and left without accepting any aid. Almost two years later, Aang meets Sokka, now lives on Kyoshi Island with his wife Suki and their children. Sokka tells Aang that Katara was with them almost year ago. She set sail to return home to the South Pole but an unexpected storm caught the boat not far off shore and was struck by lightning and went down. There were no survivors.

Heartbroken, Aang becomes a wandering nomad. Fate eventually lead him to the South Pole 3 years later, where he meets a tired and sad Katara. It turns out, she heard Aang had been searching for her and so she faked her own death in order to free him of his feelings for her and let him go on and lead his own life. But Aang tells her that she is his life and without her he is nothing. But despite Aang's assurances that he does not care about her past, Katara still can't forgive herself.

How does it end? Read my story. ;D ;D ;D

shouldn't this thread be in the avatar fanfiction board? maybe I wrong, but that would seem like the logical place for an avatar fanfic should be. and I'm just going to say that I didn't really care for that story.

yeah, it is kind of a discussion and all.... Back on topic. My ending would be Aang defeating the Fire Lord, and then have a whole *10 years later* thingy, with all Aang's happy children, and then have a new season on Aang's son, or something. And, if you guys haven't noticed, the next Avatar usually isn't the previous one's offspring. The Avatardom goes from bender to bender, as in, Water, then Earth, the Fire(Roku), then Air(Aang). See the pattern? The next Avatar would be a water bender.
