So who is going to be Aang's fire bending teacher? I'm pretty sure the Deserter is out after the leaf incident. Unless they introduce a new character, it's probably going to be Iroh or Zuko. I personally I think it's going to be Zuko. My prediction is after Zuko saved Appa, he leaves his uncle and his tea shop and goes off to join the Avatar. While trying to catch up to him, Aang and co. get attacked by Azula Agni. Zuko intervenes once again only this time, he's doing a bit better. After he redirects one of Azula's lightning blasts, he tries it himself. Since he dealt with his inner turmoil at the end of lake Lao Gai, the move succeeds and the blast nails Azula. Rather than killing her, it knocks her out. Her pride is broken now that Zuko is almost level with her in a way. I could see Zuko then taking on Aang as his student-teacher much like Katara did with water bending.

Then again, Zuko isn't that great of a fire bender so other choices can arise. Besides Iroh and Zuko, who else could there be?
