Plot Update 10 March 2021

A year has passed since Fire Lord Zuko ascended the throne, and it seems like trouble is brewing between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom once more. The Fire Lord and the Avatar began the Harmony Restoration Movement to restore the Fire Nation Colonies to their pre-war state by bringing any Fire Nation nationals back home, but for many of the citizens — of mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom … Read more ›

I think he's just joking around..... hopefully.......

Anyways, keeping the show going after season 3 is over could be interesting, but they'd have to make sure the idea doesen't get old on people. The reason why I like avatar a lot is that it's very original in the plot and the ideas in it (element bending, the avatar, the moves based on real fighting, etc.). They'd have to keep going by comming up with a new plot ideas, while keeping the essence of the show intact.

Maybe the next avatar after Aang,
~or~
Aang and Co. getting rid of remaining Fire Nation threats (Azula maybe) and bringing everything back to normal....

Ray Huan is right. They can't just send Aang and friends (or Kame's Sparky and friends) to go galavanting around the four nations with nothing to do. When the Fire Nation is subdued, there won't be much for the Avatar or possible future Avatars to fight, and let's face it; they're gonna need something to fight or people are just going to get bored. Every good adventure story absolutely needs an antagonist.
If Nick chose not to add a new antagonist though (which they will, don't worry) i think it'd be pretty funny if they turned AtLA into a sitcom, haha. Maybe not entertaining or interesting...but funny.

I think that they may use the one epilogue episode like 10 years later that Xia-di suggested or I think they make it totaly start over with a new avatar with new friends. Well to tell you the truth i hope they do both or even better make it more then 10 years and show Aang when he is old like Avatar Royko(sp?). Then i hope they will start it over with the new reincarnation of the next avatar in the next element cycle. I would also think it would be cool if Aang somehow repopulated the Air Nomads(I don't know how though).

I think they already planned to have it be where a select few nomads escaped, and were in hiding until the war ended. Then they would be seen some timelater somewhere or something like that.

A whole new story? They would have to change the actual name of the show, as the next Avatar will be a waterbener, not an airbender. They might have the end of the last episode showing Aang at around 190 years old (including the time he was in that iceberg) die, and then show a new enemy, and simultaneously after Aang's funeral, the next Avatar being born at the same time. And then that would probably be it, unless they aired a new show, like ten years later where the Fire Nation raids the North Pole and a new war begins and....

I actually think the next few seasons might play out like this:
Book 3: Fire, in which Aang learns fire bending from Iroh and travels in secret in the Fire nation to fight Fire Lord Ozai.
Then the extra seasons start.
Book 4: Air, a prequel of sorts, showing the events 100 years before the series takes place (AKA Aang's time period). Also with aftermath from the previous season.
Book 5: Spirit, a story abought the researchers who bring the Avatar legend to the world. Takes place 100 years from the end of Book 3.
Book 6: This will be the one in which we see the creators of the show searching for the legends and records to make the show hi stoically accurate. (Obviously placed in a time similar to ours.)

I can take it my predictions aren't correct. I am defiantly not a physic!

Interesting ideas for book 5 and 6, but I'm not sure how they would work. Would bending still be around? What do you mean by bringing the avatar legend to the world? I mean, you're going to need an antagonist most likely, and the reason that I think that either book 4 or book 5 will be about cleaning everything up after the war is that Azula would be a perfect antagonist to try and take control again, and try and pick up where the Fire Lord left off. She would be able to regain control, start the war again, only to be defeated in the last episode by Aang and Co. in some large battle at Ba Sing Se or the North Pole. (Sort of like the Napoleon story...)
