A Long Display Name Here Avatar
With some areas open to the public, City Hall is the centre for governance in Republic City. There is a square for public press conferences, events, and gatherings large enough to accommodate at least a hundred reporters and spectators, if not more. The building itself is immense, with gleaming white walls, jade-coloured roof domes, and golden decorative accents.

It is one of the oldest and most iconinc buildings in Republic City, housing the various offices of government of the City, as well as the United Republic of Nations Council.

Please remember, not all rooms are open to the public. If you have business, please contact the front desk during office hours, which are between 8AM and 5PM on weekdays. No business is conducted on weekends.

The oldest building. That's what it was most famous for, along with it's very noticeable large structure and beautiful ornamentation. Without a doubt, it was one of the most well decorated buildings in town... At least that's what Lykka was thinking as she looked at it from the garden in front. Her green eyes were completely restless from noticing all the intricate designs that had been made on the face of the building. There were so many of them, since the building had a very broad front, she wondered how long it had taken them to finish it, and if they had had to work on it a bit more after it came into service.

She would know about it if they allowed her to consult the architectural archives of the city. At the thought, her expression turned into a frown, and she clenched her hands. Playing the card of the cute little girl had not paid off all these times she had presented herself for a permission to review the archives, so she had tried to take a more forceful approach... Bad timing. Ever since the Council had decided to make the Equalists the city's biggest threat, City Hall had become a less welcoming space for the public, even more so to a young girl trying to get something so bothersome. As a result, she had been asked to get out twice faster than ever before - sending her to jail had even been brought up when she sarcastically mentioned how she might be an Equalist planning something.

The young dark skinned girl was probably not going to be welcome in there for a long time. But it was fine for her, at least she still had this marvelous view of the great building. Looking at it now, she wondered if someone had ever tried to scale it. In her opinion, if someone ever had, it was probably either somebody crazy and eccentric, or a kid. And in both cases, they had likely been arrested before reaching the top. It was this kind of stuff that one couldn't find when looking in the history books of the library, it had to be found in the archives. In other words, here at City Hall...

It made her wonder if she could ever try doing such a thing as climbing the oldest building in town. Her answer was an immediate no, because she would never stand to risk disfiguring any of the building's faces, it was just too well designed... Then how would she react if she ever saw someone trying to climb the building ? Her first thought was that she'd kick a rock at the person for that very same risk. But she was not a violent person, so she would probably just yell a lot. Eventually, someone else would take action once they took notice.

How bored and annoyed she had to be to start thinking about that- nope, her stomach growled: she was just hungry. Maybe food would let her cheer up a little, she had been standing in front of the building, admiring it and thinking about her new failure, for quite a long time. It was about time she went and got some lunch, wasn't it ? The young girl let out a sigh as her gaze moved to the ground, feeling like it wouldn't be the first time bureaucracy would get in her way. Then she turned around and wandered in the City Hall square a little, a tiny smile on her face. In the end, it all just meant she was not a child anymore.
