Name: Yudai

Age: 26

Appearance: Yudai is a slender man who stands at five foot ten with yellow eyes. His most distinguishing feature is his prematurely lightening hair which is mostly dark gray with streaks of the original black. Underneath his short gray/black hair on the back of his neck is a tattoo of a ring of fire he has had as long as he could remember.

As he grew Yudai he had covered his entire torso with ink. On his back is depicted a battle of deities that came to him in a dream. Ameterasu a wolf-bat representing fire, Varuna a giant koi for water, Rudra a lemur representing air and Nergal a komodo rhino lastly for earth.
His dream depicted each of these beasts doing battle and eventually destroying the world.

Each of his limbs is marked with sleeves of tattoos of the different elements. His left arm marked with colorful flames, his right arm made to look like it was made from stones, waves covering his right leg and what looks to be an abstraction of blowing wind on his left leg. Each of these tattoos and the elements they represent meet and mingle on Yudai's toso in a circular pattern. This represents his fictional gods clashing and eventually destroying one another along with the world.

Even though Yudai has no qualms about walking around naked he does wear slightly baggy black pants which hide some of his weapons. He is too proud of his body art to wear a shirt even in extreme weather.

History: As far back as Yudai could remember he'd been a student under Master Nakano learning the martial arts. While the other students focused on strength training Yudai was more inclined towards agility and cunning. This specialty as well as his delicate features and long hair earned him the title of the prettiest girl in the dojo. This was usually accompanied by Yudai or his friend Tatsuya sneaking up behind them and slapping them in the back of the head.

Growing up he had a friendly rivalty with Tatsuya who he considered a brother. Where Tatsuya sometimes had difficulty holding his temper in check Yudai either laughed things off or made a verbal comeback.

Yudai had life life more and less planned out by the age of fourteen. He would achieve the status of weapons master before the age of eighteen and eventually gather the funds to open his own school. A wife and family would follow and he would die of old age surrounded by an insane amount of grand-children.
Alas, life had other plans for the young warrior.

On a trip into town a Fire Nation prisoner held in the sqaure asked to see the tattoo that adorned the teen's neck. The prisoner informed him that it was a crest of a Fire Nation family. At first he didn't believe the man but all it took was one trip to the library to confirm his story and turn Yudai's life upside down.
He was the enemy now.

For the next two years Yudai trained even harder than before and improved his skills, eager to become a great warrior of the Earth Kingdom despite his heritage. At the age of sixteen he went on a warrior's pilgrimige. It was after a sudden battle with Fire Nation forces where Yudai had his vision. He saw four animal-gods fighting and destoying the world as they did so. They paused in their fighting to speak to him in unison. They told him that their war was coming to an end as would the entire world. When Yudai woke up in a hospital in Gaoling the warrior wasn't sure if he had just had a dream or was currently doing so.

During his time healing from his nearly fatal wounds and on his journey back to his dojo Yudai had seen far much more death and suffering than his sanity could take. What exactly caused this is unknown even to him. Since returning Yudai had developed a nihilistic view of the world. Nothing mattered since it was all a dream everyone was about to wake up from.

Since suffering brought him what he considered enlightenment he decided he would share this experience with his brothers and sisters. He knew that the Fire Nation was after a certain treasure located in the dojo, his master has told him that much. In order to wake up those closest to him from their collective dreaming Yudai called in the Fire Nation who laid seige to the dojo and killed nearly everyone.
As luck would have it the person he cared most about in the world had survived. His brother was alive but still unwoken.

Yudai spent the next seven years honing his skills even further as a highly paid mercenary and somtimes for free as simply an agent of chaos. Recently, he had noticed his old friend Tatsuya in Ba Sing Se and has plans to bring him around to his insane way of thinking.

Personality: Yudai practices a version of solipsism in that he doesn't believe that anything has any value since they don't truly exist in his mind. For someone as insane as he is Yudai is surprisingly light-hearted. He is often seen smiling and joking with those around him. He finds humor in just about everything even tragedy. He acts like life is a joke that only he is in on.

People with causes important to themselves are a source of frustration for the man. He likes to pick on those he deems too self-important. This usually means bloodshed, but verbal abuse is a weapon he doesn't mind using when the situation calls for it. Yudai has a tendency to spout his philosophy in bars and other crowded places and openly mock anyone with any beliefs. He doesn't see it as insulting so much as making people see the truth.

He loves a good fight and will sometimes start one for his own amusement. Bar room brawls in particular are a source of amusement to him. They're the funniest things next to riots.

He is not good with money and will usually spend everything he has earned within days. He only cares about how he is feeling right then because things could change in an instant. To him there is no future so it is important to enjoy the present.
