Himoto is an earthbender who is usually clad in green. She wears a large Dai Li-esque hat that usually covers her eyes, and her clothes are all green as well. She wears light shoes that are easy to travel in [and easy to remove], and baggy pants. her shirt is long-sleeved, and it neither tight nor loose, and she wears a thick belt with a massive Earth Kingdom emblem on it as the buckle. Himoto herself is rather thin and small, but she is deceptively strong. she looks weak, but can hold her ground in a fight with the average person. Himoto's hair is light brown, and she has long bangs that hang into her face,and the rest of her hair hangs past her shoulders. she has brilliant emerald green eyes, pale skin, and a prominent face. With the clothes she wears, the only parts of her body that are typically visible are her hands and the lower half of her head [from her hat]. Himoto is reasonably attractive, but not by any means a head-turner.
History: No one is entirely sure where Himoto came from, but she grew up in the streets of various towns. She was raised by a family with the surname Takeshi, which was where she got it, but around the age of 9 or 10, she took to the streets. She would work for people in exchange for food, shelter, or money, and she is a good, hard worker. She also participated in bending tournaments, where, as an intermediate-level bender, she won some matches and lost others. Her reputation throughout the Earth kingdom is pretty good, mostly because they know Himoto can be replied on to finish a task that she is assigned, and that it will be done to the best of Himoto's ability. Himoto's age to outsiders is uncertain because of her unclear origins, but she is believed to be between 19 and 21. She is actually 20, and will tell it to people who ask. Despite her good work ethic, Himoto has a certain selfish attitude that implies that she does not do anything unless she feels like it, or if she gets paid for it. Granted, she does her work well, but she has very little or no motivation to help people unless she feels like it or if she gets paid to do so. Because Himoto's parents are unknown, as well as her family, her exact history is unclear, as there was no one to keep records of Himoto Takeshi. Because of the many fights Himoto has gotten in, and some severe injuries she has taken from some of them, Himoto's eyesight is rather poor. As a result, she has great difficulty reading and writing, or seeing things clearly. She does not have "vibration vision" to make up for it like Toph does, [and furthermore, Himoto is not blind--she just has poor eyesight] but because of her failing vision, Himoto has honed her other senses, and especially her reflexes. She has lived off the land before, and with her swift reflexes, she has sometimes swiped birds off of tree branches or fish of all kinds, from small fries to koi fish, right out of rivers. Himoto's location is always unpredictable, as she has business everywhere.
Personality: Himoto believes in hard work for good pay, but also embedded in her personality is a sense of apathy. She is nice enough around people, but she sees no reason to go out of her way to help them unless there is something involved for her. Though difficult this may seem, it is actually not, as Himoto is not a picky woman, not even with people*. Himoto does not lack concern for people, especially fiends, but she just has this lazy "whatever"-esque attitude that she displays all too often. Himoto is not an arrogant woman, but she is very confident, and stubbornly stands her ground when she feels the need to do so. As a wanderer, she has no destinations in mind, but with the way her occupation currently is, she is often times found around towns and villages when her cash supplies run short. Himoto is aware of her reputation as a good worker and keeps that reputation strong, because it pays her better. It is difficult to motivate Himoto to do something she doesn't want to do, but it is theoretically possible. Because of her unpampered life, she is a daring young woman who fears very little. death cannot be stopped and pain is going to eventually happen to everyone, so Himoto sees no reason to worry about it.
*by this logic, Himoto is theoretically bisexual, and so if I have to put a warning somewhere, I will be glad to do so.
