Name: Hinh

Age: 44 years old

Appearance: She‘s 5 feet and 5 inches tall, her short hair are a shiny brown that look and are shaped like crystals, with the tips sticking together and going down. Her eyes are green and look like they‘re made of diamond. Her skin is very pale, making it look like she‘s always cold even when she‘s all healthy. She has been involved in many battles and has suffered a fair amount of injuries, but they never left any mark on her body after healing, like her skin isn‘t made of human skin. But she has a tattoo where her heart is located, the symbol of the templar order. She‘s a rather thin woman, but her limbs are strong and move very fast, which give them a certain resistance. Since she‘s a mature woman, her feminine traits have grown to the fullest, but the fact that she usually wears the clothes of a priestess hides all her features. Whereas she's not really that beautiful, she's always been described, since her birth, as a piece of art (it means she'd be a very beautiful statue or painting). Her priestess attire consists of a long yellow robe with the tail cut in multiple pieces of cloth, a green shawl on her shoulders that goes down to her knees, a brown belt with small Earth Kingdom coins sown onto it, a gem bracelet with a cross-shaped diamond on her left hand, a big necklace made of crystal and earrings shaped like the symbol of the Earth. All of these bear the emblem of the Seirei Templar order, which is an addition of the Earth Kingdom and of the Earth symbol.

History: Hinh was born in Ba Sing Se, surrounded by glowing crystals, which were the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes. And this sight was carved into her mind forever, therefore making her develop an amazing love for all types of crystal, her favorite being diamond. Her name actually comes from Hinh-Thoi which means diamond. At the age of five, when she showed good prowess at bending crystal, her parents decided that she had grown enough with them for her to be sent to one of the Earth Temples that were created millennia ago. They were part of the Seirei Templar Order, and had been raised in temples as well. They had become priests when they turned 20 and chose to act as knights under the will of their respective temples’ heads. And they settled in Ba Sing Se, since knights were formerly supposed, in line of the Templar order’s purpose, to watch over the Earth Kingdom citizens and ensure that mortals cannot fall under the influence of evil spirits. Knights being warriors, they had decided to live in Ba Sing Se because it was the continent’s biggest stronghold, and also the place where the first temple had been built so long ago (and destroyed before the creation of the city). That’s why they wanted their only child to become a priest as well.

When Hinh joined the temple, she began learning all the Templar arts, which covered Earthbending, fighting skills, acrobatics, language, knowledge, drawing… what was supposed to make them the perfect people, so their souls would never bend to malevolent spirits. All her life, she was able to surpass the other female monks, and even some of the male ones, though she never managed to reach the level of the elders. She quickly became a wonderful and powerful priestess of the Seirei (great spirits). She joined the Order as soon as she achieved spiritual enlightenment, which was a must to become a templar, and received the tattoo as a proof of being part of the order. She soon became one of the most powerful priests of the Order. This led her to becoming very cold-tempered and lonesome. She had never been very close to anyone, which could also be a good thing for a templar, in a way. Her spiritual perception developed through her love for crystals, which was also one of her weaknesses. Her strength came from the use of crystals, otherwise she was just a regular bender. But she had pushed her training to the point that she was able to bend the few tiny crystalloid minerals in the ground to make her own crystal. But once she became a priestess to the Seirei, she was given spiritual items that were specific to her own perception (most of them with gemstones) and a spear with a diamond blade she made herself.

At one point, the temple she had been living in was destroyed, after the templar heads’ failures. Since then, the order acted in secrecy, and their exorcism duty almost completely disappeared. Having no home anymore, Hinh tried returning to Ba Sing Se, but the society of this city had changed in twenty years, and after her headmaster’s attempt of coup, and the establishment of new government, she wasn’t able to get in and get by. She fought against the Dai-Li to try and reach her parents, or the few knights that were still in the city, but none tried to help her. She was forced to leave the city in shame. This event just added to her loneliness, and she ended up relying on her bending instead of friends. But it didn’t matter for her, because she’d never been much good with other people. With no other goal now than serving the spirits she began wandering for a few years. She discovered that during these years of war, many other temples had been destroyed. With these destructions, the future of the order became uncertain, so she decided that, in order to save the bonds between priests and spirits, she needed to find and gather all of them priests and the Avatar, hoping somehow they would be able to gather enough spiritual power to repair the balance between the two worlds. Because that was all that mattered to her.

Personality: Hinh is a real gemstone. She rarely to never smiles, she doesn't show her emotions a lot, even though you can always find out what she's feeling in some manner, like patterns she has, the moves she does when she's feeling happy, the slightly different way she behaves when she's upset or just shaken. Since she's very lonely due to her status, the first thing she sees in a person is their level, and to some extent, their power and potential. That's why she can sometimes be as aggressive as the Unagi, yet look as peaceful as a koi fish, because of what she thinks. And another thing that she's not very proud of, is that her mind sometimes thinks about imitating the behaviour of other people (like a reflection in a pure diamond).
